Finished Dororo (2019).
Great stuff. Action was intense. Sorta lagged in the middle of the series but picked back up at the end. Started vacation today, so I'll start Beatless back up from the beginning probably tomorrow. Also, watching One Punch Man season 2 on Adult Swim and Maid Sama on Netflix on the side. |

Yeah Season 3 was pretty great. Not as much action as the previous 2 seasons but the storytellng stuff was the best.

I remember at the time being a bit upset the Bleach anime series ended right before that final arc starts because of all the cool stuff that happens in it.
Also remember that final manga arc being ridiculously long compared to the other arcs. |
The manga arc is fairly long, but not nearly as long as they said it was going to be. Kubo started getting sidetracked and slowed down a bunch on it and then I guess the higher ups coerced him into rushing tf out of the final arc a bit. A lot of stuff planned got cut. Hoping the anime gives him another chance to finish it the way he intended.

Not bad. Gets a bit corny here and there at the back half of the season. I'll keep going since it leaves some things unexplained that might get answered in the other seasons. |

Demon Slayer was really good once it got a few episodes in. I'm currently watching some older shows I never got around to since the rona delay is impacting anime pretty heavily. Watching Blue Exorcist right now. Seems pretty good and I think I'm at the point where things are about to take off.

Watching through the Netflix Ghost in the Shell.
The animation style really blows. It seems like they used really old tech, or just maybe couldn't utilize it well. I wouldn't think they would leave it clunky looking "on purpose". Trying to look past it. 3D can be done better in anime |

The 8th Son... season 1 wrapped up. Started interesting. Ended dull. Felt like it was going to be a 24 episode run. But it was 12. Eh.
Also at the back end of season 3 of Food Wars. The dub stops there and goes to subs for season 4. Which, I got no problem with. But this is great. If anyone's looking to get in on it, Netflix just grabbed it and put season 1 up. Some of the other stuff I've been watching are still on hold due to the pandemic. So, going to look around for something new. |
Somebody please watch "Dorohedoro" on Netflix and talk about it a bit so I understand it more in the context of modern anime.
The humour and style are just bonkers, it's very very cool. It sounds weirder than it is though. I dunno how to describe it beyond - a guy with a lizard head kills sorcerer's for information regarding his transformation from man to lizard man. He puts their heads in his mouth and a man inside him judges them. They all die. His female sidekick is better at fighting than him and has big boobs. She is a chef. It's the best thing since One Punch Man but not actually as good. |
Two burly sorcerer assassins are trying to defeat them. There are bigger enemies, sorcerer's with higher status etc.
It has a punk style. I like it. |

About 8 episodes into Dorohedoro. They did such a great job with this. Animation looks awesome. I normally prefer sub, but the dub in this is just too good. They nailed everyone perfectly.
I had forgotten how great Ebisu is. Also, it's a small thing but I got really good chuckle from the gargoyle flying around and screaming what time of day it is. |

Despite what I said earlier Dorohedoro was as good as One Punch Man, better in some ways but not much worse in others.
