This is the NFL you really can't predict what is going to happen - cuz anything could happen. Maybe The Saints could make the Superbowl? Who knows, or maybe even Colts could win the Superbowl....well maybe not anything

Kris P Lettus 07-30-2006 03:20 PM

Yeah, for real.

How many years have you guys been watching football? And how many times have your/the media's shitty predictions been completely accurate?

You would think people would learn by now.

Once again, can you blame me??

To be fair, who the fuck is Nail Diggs? He and Mike McKenzie were overhyped players who stood out like a sore thumb as average players on a piss-poor defense.

You also lost the Superbowl MVP...

Saints are gonna be the greatest show on turf this year, but gonna lose games 35-34.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-31-2006 12:29 AM

Yeah their offense looks like it could be good (don't know much about their offensive line) but I haven't heard much about their defense. I know they got Will Smith on the edge but that's about all I know. I don't remember them picking up anyone that big in the draft either, but we'll see.

Wasn't it Carolina that acquired Na'il Diggs? I can't remember.

The Bears will win the NFC North (by default) this season.

Maybe. I know that Krispy is bragging about a linebacker they got when their defense already sucked and they lost Darren Howard and Dwight Smith... and Jonathan Sullivan...

Bummer, dudes.

Kris P Lettus 07-31-2006 11:08 AM

Johnathan Sullivan is a fat piece of garbage.. Much better off with Brian Young..

We did not get Na'il Diggs.. Who is this Superbowl MVP you speak of??

DrA 07-31-2006 07:07 PM

Dwight Smith.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-31-2006 07:12 PM

Saints got Bethel Johnson, he can run really fast in a straight line :y:

Probably because it was the most boring Superbowl ever.

Atleast the Patriots weren't in it, they have the most boring Superbowls I guess, since everyone was "sick" of seeing them in it.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-01-2006 10:37 PM

Brady returned to practice today without any mention to why he had missed the last 3. Reggie Bush also practiced, on the article I read it was noted that he was wearing cleats with gold tips? lol COOL MAN, everyone seems to be real hyped with Reggie Bush being around though. Thought that was pretty interesting, even guys like Joe Horn saying how he seems like a "cool cat" and shit. Bush is legit, Houston made a huge mistake. If they drafted Bush nobody would have faulted them if they didn't end up being good (highly unlikely) but now if Bush blows up everybody will all over the Texans front office (and they will probably be on the way out)

Kris P Lettus 08-02-2006 12:18 AM

I didn't go to the practice..

:(

Chiefs traded for Michael Bennett

Kris P Lettus 08-02-2006 04:39 PM

Just saw that on NFL Live.. We still have Deuce, Bush, Stecker, and McAffee..

Kris P Lettus 08-02-2006 04:40 PM

I may be behind, but what happened to Priest?? I know he was hurt and Larry Johnson had a steller season.. What happen since??

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-02-2006 11:52 PM

I thought it was Dexter Jackson too at first but then when I googled Dwight Smith couple of sites said he was Superbowl MVP...weird

Pretty sure Holmes had lingering effects from his neck/spine injury or something? Like career threatening.

Kris P Lettus 08-03-2006 01:00 AM

With everyone going ape over Seattle and Arizona, I would not be surprised if St. Louis won that division.

SammyG 08-03-2006 03:01 AM

Bulger is gonna be back, healthy, and hopefully he wont get injured again, Linehan is installing a lot of 2 tight end schemes, designed to protect the quarterback. HOPEFULLY, they commit to the running game more, Steven Jackson can be a stud. If the offensive line lets him of course. They made some moves defensively too, drafted Hill, Got Fahkir Brown, Corey Chavous, Will Witherspoon, Laroi Glover. Hopefully they can turn it around. I'm just glad Martz is gone. No more crazy play bullshit.

I don't think they know yet, and grabbed Bennett as insurance.

I read somewhere it was for a 4th rounder, which for a guy who they picked up in free agency I guess is ok.

SammyG 08-03-2006 04:11 PM

Hm. Rams got Moe Williams too. Pretty solid running backs, Steven Jackson starting, Tony Fisher and Moe Williams as the backups.

Kris P Lettus 08-03-2006 08:11 PM

Mo Williams was the man at Tulane..

Too bad he went to the Viqueens..

BCWWF 08-06-2006 01:22 AM

Moe Williams was always a very solid goalline back, he was one of the NFL leaders in touchdowns one year somehow. I think he was in the whole love boat thing though, and it was all kind of downhill from there.

SammyG 08-06-2006 04:37 PM

Preseason kickin off today. Kinda lookin forward to the Rams/Colts game in 6 days.

Like Charlie Casserly? Was he cut loose before or after the Bush fiasco?

Also, Moe Williams went downhill two years ago when he got old. He's still old, and slower than before, but he has excellent push, and is one of the best blocking backs I've seen. He blew up Brian Urlacher a couple years ago, sent the fucker flying into the air, I justabout creamed my pants watching that.

Rams will be awesome, their TEs will tear shit up, and Raonall Smith is going to prove his worth finally.

IN OTHER NEWS, DWIGHT SMITH WINS THE TIGHT SAFETY BATTLE FROM TANK WILLIAMS IN MINNESOTA.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-08-2006 12:44 PM

Rodney Harrison returned to practice yesterday, hopefully they can get Deion Branch into camp soon.

The votes are in. Roger Goodell is the new NFL commish. Elected unanimously as I'm reading. Here's the story. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...v=ap&type=lgns

On a side note, I've heard Prince got the spot for the Superbowl Halftime Show.

Skippord 08-08-2006 08:25 PM

Mike Bell

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-09-2006 12:09 AM

Yeah if Mike Bell actaully ends up as the starting RB this season that is pretty ridiculous, especially since the NFL draft has 7 rounds.

CNM 08-09-2006 03:09 AM

Terrell Davis was drafted in the 7th round, so who knows

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-09-2006 03:23 AM

Yeah I am a bit surprised Bell didn't get drafted, I remember hearing a few good things about him while he was playing at UofA

BCWWF 08-09-2006 02:08 PM

They've also got Damien Nash now though

Joey Slugs 08-09-2006 02:36 PM

I'm going to Solider Field for the Bears "@ home" practice tonight. Kinda pissed that I won't be able to see Benson get some work in.

BCWWF 08-13-2006 02:15 PM

In case anybody is wondering, because I was, that insurance ad where there is a guy walking around a big empty stadium talking about insurance, it is the LA Coliseum. I did some research.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-13-2006 05:23 PM

I actaully never wondered that.

dude its adrian mcpherson the freaking qb for the saints.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-13-2006 11:39 PM

haha I ment to type McPherson but I typed Peterson for some reason

my b nigs

el fregadero 08-14-2006 12:07 AM

lol Adrian McPherson. I remember in Madden last year I traded to get him as my back-up QB for like my entire career. He was a solid holder.

SammyG 08-14-2006 12:43 AM

Poor Clinton Portis

OssMan 08-14-2006 01:28 AM

HAHA Portis, maybe something to shut up the stupid skins fans nah prolly not, they probably think Rock Cartwright is the next Barry Sanders. So I guess the Redskins are still superbowl champs this year. i hope they go 0-16

Kris P Lettus 08-14-2006 09:38 AM

This whole mascot hitting our backup qb shit is ridiculous..

HE GOT HURT BY A MASCOT DRIVING A GOLF CART

WTF

He's a pretty good backup also, mad athletic scrambler, kinda like Mike Vick without the rep..

Aarron Stecker got hurt Sat night too.. I'll check out his status..

p.s. Portis is the man.. He hurt himself making a hell of a tackle and saving a td.. Nice tackle..

BCWWF 08-14-2006 01:40 PM

Just found out I've got tickets to the Vikes preseason opener tonight against Oakland. :y:

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-14-2006 03:48 PM

So AssMan, Clinton Portis is now out for the year after paritally dislocating his shoulder?

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-14-2006 03:49 PM

But yeah McPherson woulda tore it up while he was FSU if he didn't kicked off the team for doing really stupid shit. I'm not surprised he is doing well in a back up roll, he is like a better verison of Marcus Vick.

The Outlaw 08-14-2006 06:32 PM

Preseason is ridiculous.

Nah you don't understand. The Redskins are superbowl champions this year no matter what happens to their team. I mean take a look at the past 5 seasons - all in which they have won the superbowl.

2001: Skins get Marty Schottenheimer - Superbowl
2002: Skins get Steve Spurrier AND draft future HOF Patrick Ramsey - Superbowl
2003: Spurrier year 2 can't go wrong with Laveranues Coles - Superbowl
2004: Joe Gibbs Returns!!!!!!!! - Superbowl
2005: Mark Brunell - Superbowl

Skins are 5 time defending champs. There's no need to even play this season because the Skins already won.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-14-2006 09:50 PM

Assman, say something that isn't retarded once in your life please.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-14-2006 11:58 PM

Yeah what are you talking about? Alls I am saying is that you overreacting to Clinton Portis getting hurt about a month away from the season starting.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-14-2006 11:59 PM

And when did the Raiders move Darnell Bing to linebacker and why haven't I heard about this? I am kinda surprised by that

DrA 08-15-2006 12:00 AM

I saw him play linebacker in the first preseason game, but he looked like he struggled a little bit.

Supreme Olajuwon 08-15-2006 12:12 AM

He's too slow to play Safety in the NFL

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-15-2006 12:15 AM

Just did some searching, didn't realize he fell so far in the draft either.

Cards sign Lienart FINALLY

BCWWF 08-15-2006 03:04 AM

I didn't realize that Ramsey was only drafted in 2002, thought he was older.

Anyway, went to the Vikings game tonight and I guess I will post some thoughts in bullet form.

*The starting defense looked great, the offense was OK and the special teams coverage was awful. I disagree with the ESPN analysts who were praising the offensive line. The McKinney/Hutchingson/Birk connection was really hyped up, but I thought they were quite average. I expect them to get better, but the fact that Chester Taylor was held completely in check shows that something wasn't right. Brad Johnson was basically average, like he has always been. Koren Robinson gives me some hope for a strong receiver, but the other guys don't give me any hope. I think Mewelde will win out the starting job if he plays again like he did tonight.

*Tavaris Jackson was awesome. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he wins the starting job this year when BJ inevitably gets injured. He definately has some work, some bad decisions that could have led to interceptions against a first string offense, but I think he is one of the guys who will actually turn out to be a success.

*I'm not sure what to think about Childress to this point. He has been getting a lot of credit in the media, but again disagreeing with the ESPN analysts, the first string and second string offenses were not great tonight. Maybe we were spoiled with the great offenses when Denny Green was here and later with Moss in his prime, but the offense is going to have to be better than it was tonight. My problem with Childress is that this team really lacked an identity. Fuck, two years ago Moss and Culpepper were awesome, huge fan favorites. This year it is kind of like "boring, ineffective run play, repeat, maybe mix in a pass." Tice wasn't the smartest head coach, but I liked his style. You knew the Vikings were going to come out and do something different. With Childress, it is all business. If it works out, I guess it will be accepted here, but if this team is just average for the next two years, I'd rather have fun and be average with Tice.

*Chad Greenway had a nice tackle on special teams, I guess we'll see where he ends up after leaving with a knee injury. The new linebacker, can't remember his name but five year vet from Kansas State, I like this guy. He brings an identity to what should be one of the leagues better defenses this year. It's too bad we are without Tank, I was always a big fan of Chavous too.

*I really do feel for Moss. He was loved in Minnesota by all of the fans and was an incredible wide receiver. He was awesome the last year he was here, but because Joe Buck overreacted, the Vikings crumbled under pressure and traded him. In retrospect, the trade did neither team any good. Troy Williamson is an athletic but hard handed receiver, Napolean Harris is nothing special and Moss is barely one of the better receivers in the league. Watching him play again was nostalgic, I wanted him to get a touchdown and I'm sure a lot of people did too. He should have gotten a touchdown. He was wide open on two plays in Oaklands first drive (not in the end zone on both of them) but Aaron Brooks couldn't find him and threw it away. Moss was the man in Minnesota, he knows that and everybody else knows that. Although we (the fans) would take him back with arms wide open, that isn't going to happen because we are a completely different team now. That being said, I don't think he will be in Oakland next year. He is just too amazing of a talent to be on such a bad team with such a bad quarterback. I think Miami is going to be a good team this year, but Moss will put them over the edge next year, teaming up with Culpepper again and being one of the top teams in the league. It's proven to work, I just can't see him staying in Oakland if he has any say in it.

BCWWF 08-15-2006 03:05 AM

Vikings are in a bad position though, open against Washington, next against Carolina and Chicago I think, we could easily start 0-3, which isn't a strong way to prepare for the playoffs. I guess that's better than a 6-0 tease though.

Kris P Lettus 08-15-2006 09:00 AM

Aarron Brooks had ONE completed pass in like 5 possesions last night..

LOL

Leinart signed a 6 year $50 mill deal with AZ..

Reggie Bush was fined $10, 000 for having the gold tipped shoes.. Addidas, his shoe company, is picking up the tab..

Who Dat??

Mr. Monday Morning 08-15-2006 02:03 PM

It would be pretty stupid, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Denny Green tried to get Moss. They'd still need an offensive line, but damn that would be some firepower.

BCWWF 08-15-2006 02:42 PM

I can't see the Cardinals doing that, you just can't have three WR's of that caliber on one team.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-15-2006 03:41 PM

Chad Greenway got destoried when he hurt his knee last night. I couldn't tell who blocked him but he got pancaked

RoXer 08-15-2006 06:30 PM

Why would we need Moss?

Jesus Shuttlesworth 08-15-2006 06:45 PM

Dennis Green is the man, TOM BRADY WAS NOT A NUMBER 10 PICK

BCWWF 08-15-2006 06:56 PM

Lol, yeah, Dennis Green really tore into Leinart the other day, and well deserved IMO.

RoXer 08-15-2006 07:02 PM

Yeah and then like an hour later he was signed. lol

I was hearing reports the past few months that his rehab for that type of thing was going well, but I guess he fell off the wagon pretty badly.

It's a shame, since he's a very talented player and this can only harm his career moreso.
