Redskins fall apart on defense and give up a 4th down TD to Houston. Could have won the game by preventing it but instead game is tied late in the 4th.

IC Champion 09-19-2010 06:57 PM

Go Houston. and then lose next week.

Yep, i know he's a great defensive co. But the team hasn't improved at all on penalties and mistakes. That's coaching. He's too laidback, just like Norv Turner neither of them are ever winning a superbowl.

IC Champion 09-19-2010 07:17 PM

Why because he isn't Bill parcells and doesn't stroke out everytime there's a mistake? The penalties that killed them last week were because they were missing starters on the offensive line. You wanna blame Phillips for those tipped balls and and Williams fumble?

Cowboys can live with mistakes and penalties, they can't afford to keep kicking FGs in the redzone and running the ball when the other team stacks the box.

Norv Turner is also a very good coach, and is a brilliant offensive cooridinater.

Saying neither are ever winning a superbowl is easy to say, but you don't really give any reason other than Phillips is laidback. C'mon on, use your head. Tony Dungy went to the playoffs like 7 times before winning a superbowl. I just hate when people spew things they have heard from an alalyst or saw on NFL network without giving any explanation. You probably don't even know that Phillips is a good coordinater, you probably just took my word for it.

Emperor Smeat 09-19-2010 07:18 PM

Can't really blame Phillips for being laid-back since before him, Parcells was the coach and the players eventually mutinied against his tough style and wanted a more "laid-back" style coach.

Jerry Jones listened to the players more than realizing a tough coach was needed for a team that was on the decline or lacked discipline for years. Also didn't help Parcells was a confrontational coach more than a "yes man" coach that Jerry wanted to boss around.

Exactly, not to mention he's blaming penalties while completley ignoring the fact that 2 starters on the offensive line were injured.

Team Sheep 09-19-2010 07:22 PM

Wow what a 2nd half. Loved how the replacements stepped up and showed great strength in depth on the roster. Fantastic. Next week at Miami's gonna be incredible.

CSL 09-19-2010 07:28 PM

Graham Gano gets iced on a 50+ yard kick that he made and missed the 2nd attempt. Not a fan of that rule at all. I don't mind icing the kicker after the formation has been set but after the run up has started, nah.

Nervous Ferret 09-19-2010 07:32 PM

goddamn jets

Triple A 09-19-2010 07:34 PM

What a great day.

Shit @ Houston about to win though.

OssMan 09-19-2010 07:48 PM

Damn @ Redskins game

Droford 09-19-2010 07:48 PM

I didnt think the Skins/Texans wanted to win the game.

2-0 Teams: Chiefs, Steelers, Dolphins, Bears, Packers, Buccaneers and potentially Giants/Saints
0-2 Teams: Bills, Browns, Lions, Panthers, Rams, Cowboys and potentially Colts/49ers.

Chiefs, Bears and Bucs are all surprises at 2-0, Cowboys and Colts would be surprises at 0-2.

As far as the Ravens, they haven't given up a TD yet so the defense is still there but you gotta be worried with Flacco. They'll bounce back next week vs the Browns at home but then they get the Steelers in Pittsburgh...so..ugh

Evil Vito 09-19-2010 07:53 PM

Rocky Bernard and Linval Joseph inactive, meaning Barry Cofield and Chris Canty are the only two DTs.

Ie: Coughlin doesn't give a shit about defending against the run against Peyton.

Victor Cruz is active.

GO GIANTS!!!

ClockShot 09-19-2010 08:22 PM

I see Legend Killer Kyle Orton, the D, AND the reciver corps. were all solid today.

Now if we can just fix the quagmire that is the running game.

SammyG 09-19-2010 08:22 PM

RP 09-19-2010 09:22 PM

You could see that play action coming a mile away. It will happen again too.

RP 09-19-2010 09:22 PM

Antoine Bathea is destroying souls tonight. He's everywhere.

RP 09-19-2010 09:30 PM

ROFL i wish every team would let the Colts run on them like this.

RP 09-19-2010 09:31 PM

Here comes the play action on 1st down. This is gunna be brutal.

RP 09-19-2010 09:32 PM

LB's are back in.. Dallas Clark gobble gobble.

RP 09-19-2010 09:33 PM

Addai and Brown might go for a hundey tonight

Innovator 09-19-2010 09:34 PM

Jesus took them long enough to put the LBs in, Addai was looking like he was good.

RP 09-19-2010 09:35 PM

Addai has looked good all off season and was decent on his 10 carries last week.

RP 09-19-2010 09:36 PM

I wouldnt be surprised if Addai had 1200 yards rushing this year.

Innovator 09-19-2010 09:45 PM

Holy shit did Jim Caldwell just move?!?!

RP 09-19-2010 09:47 PM

This is a mismatch. I thought the Giants might be better then this.

RP 09-19-2010 09:50 PM

Fuck i hope i dont have to sit through a quarter of Curtis Painter

Gonzo 09-19-2010 09:56 PM

I just want to fucking spit.

Pretty obvious the Giants didn't show up today, and against a team like the Colts? Come on. Pretty terrible defensive game plan from the Giants too.

Innovator 09-19-2010 09:58 PM

Looks like they forgot about last week and just remember how to play like last season

OssMan 09-19-2010 10:02 PM

Giants suck so bad

Team Sheep 09-19-2010 10:03 PM

Most Giants fans had a huge boner last week. I think they forgot that the Panthers are shit and were only so happy about it because they got thumped by them last game last season. Giants are as bad, if not worse than last year.

The thing that pisses me off, is that this team isn't really any less talented than the team that won the Superbowl in 2007. There are several key changes to personnel, but it's like the entire organization has just lost the desire to put a good product on the field.

I thought the Giants played like shit last week during the first half. They came out with some nice adjustments after half time, but, the Panthers are pretty awful, so they worked. Against a team like the Colts? Child please.

My boner went away when Carolina lost to Tampa
