Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. There's no way they only returned 2 starters. This needs to be addressed or I'm afraid we're gonna have to start taking things Droford says with a grain of salt, gang.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-10-2012 01:40 PM

It actually may be to his favorite team's benefit.

Did you know that the Baltimore Ravens are 140-115-1 when Droford says something ridiculous?

Did you know that each one of Joe Flacco's wins has come after Droford has manipulated stats to coincide with his world view?

Did you know that in each of Ray Lewis' 13 Pro Bowl seasons, Droford watched each Ravens game alone in his house with the lights off?

You can't tell me these things are just coincidences. There's no way. If you believe that, you're an idiot.

Innovator 09-10-2012 01:46 PM

Did you know Ray Lewis watched a murder and drove away?

Ermaximus 09-10-2012 02:37 PM

Did you know Droford caused Justin Blackmon to get that DUI during the offseason?

Boomer 09-10-2012 03:53 PM

Brent Grimes on IR. Welp, I don't have much hope for the Falcons' secondary now.

'Alex Smith was essentially flawless. Frank Gore ran wild through the Packers defense. Late in the Green Bay Packers' loss to the San Francisco 49ers, we thought the Packers were lucky just to be in the game.

The Packers feel differently.

"We beat ourselves. They really didn't beat us," cornerback Jarrett Bush said after the game, via the Green Bay Press-Gazette. "We just have to hunker down and make sure we're gap sound and get on the same page. Obviously, small things being miscommunicated on the field become big things, so they exploited us and that's what happened."

Oh boy. If any of this sounds familiar, let's replay some comments from Clay Matthews this offseason about Green Bay's playoff loss to the New York Giants.

"The fact is, (the Giants) didn't beat us; we beat ourselves," Matthews told Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports.

Give us a break. The Giants and 49ers pushed the Packers around. Green Bay has lost three of its last five games. Their defense was generally awful for all of last season.

We're starting to think Green Bay's attitude that no team can actually beat them is part of the problem.'

Lol. The "we beat ourselves" defence from teams never gets old eh. Flawless argument...

Gonzo 09-10-2012 04:32 PM

Yeah, you can say that you didn't execute X, Y, or Z but at some point credit has to go to the opposition. There are things that I thought the Giants didn't do well or at all in the opener but the Cowboys played well and made plays. It's homerism to think otherwise.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-10-2012 04:34 PM

NFL Week 1 overreactions: claiming there's a "problem" with Green Bay because they think they're good.

Gonzo 09-10-2012 04:36 PM

For the record, I don't think there is a problem with the Packers, but call a spade a spade.

Nark Order 09-10-2012 04:49 PM

And I'm already tired of people getting angry over the replacement refs like its completely one sided against their team. The refs are awful but they've at least been pretty consistent being awful across the board. GB fans were complaining about the Niners not being called on false starts but GB also scored a touchdown because two illegal blocks in the back happened in the same play. We're just gonna have to deal with the ref situation for now and look at is as just part of the game.

Emperor Smeat 09-10-2012 05:08 PM

So far the general consensus with all the complaints about the replacement refs is the lack or inconsistency with holding calls. For example the Dallas vs Giants game had them all called in bunches during one Dallas drive and almost no other time in the game.

I'm on your internets, Narc. Noticing your subtle implication with that wording.

The bears are going into GB on Thursday and putting the packers in an 0-2 hole..book it.

Jarrett Bush feels differently. Not the Packers. This writer's a douche for lumping them all in with Bush's comment.

McLegend 09-10-2012 06:55 PM

I'm not confident in Michael Vick.

Innovator 09-10-2012 07:08 PM

Are you confident in Andy Reid and Michael Vick?

McLegend 09-10-2012 07:44 PM

No, no I am not.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-10-2012 07:55 PM

whoooooooooooooooooooooa

what the fuck happened to Suzy Kolber

#1-norm-fan 09-10-2012 08:43 PM

lol. Holy shit how did they not call that a catch? That was probably the worst call by these officials all weekend.

Team Sheep 09-10-2012 08:46 PM

The ball spots by the officials have been terrible all weekend.

Lol at that no catch call. He took like 3 maybe 4 steps with it?! How did the Bengals not even challenge it.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-10-2012 08:50 PM

Marvin's not good at challenging. It it what it is I guess. :-\

Supreme Olajuwon 09-10-2012 08:53 PM

Flacco killing it so far. Maybe this is finally the year.

Droford 09-10-2012 08:55 PM

That's not a td unfortunately

Droford 09-10-2012 08:57 PM

Or it is..wow

Supreme Olajuwon 09-10-2012 08:57 PM

these refs are AWESOME

Team Sheep 09-10-2012 09:30 PM

What an effort Green-Ellis.

Team Sheep 09-10-2012 09:33 PM

Thank god for that TD. Keeps the game interesting for the 2nd half. I need it, this MNF coverage on BBC is awful. :$

ClockShot 09-10-2012 09:33 PM

The Dalton Gang is starting to make this interesting.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-10-2012 09:35 PM

Red Rocket

Droford 09-10-2012 10:29 PM

Ed reed! Ha

Droford 09-10-2012 10:38 PM

It doesn't look like the defense misses suggs all that much

Supreme Olajuwon 09-10-2012 10:44 PM

very impressed with the long term planning of the Bengals here

let the Ravens offense get all tired in Week 1. They'll be exhausted for the next game! HA HA!

Team Sheep 09-10-2012 10:49 PM

This has to be the highest scoring week 1 ever.

Droford 09-10-2012 11:09 PM

That's a murderers row of qbs the ravens have to play..ugh

Last year was.

This week wasn't really all that high scoring. A lot of middle of the road 23-20-like scores.

Droford 09-10-2012 11:24 PM

The ravens scored 45 vs Pittsburgh last year at home week 1..only 44 tonight :(

I guess you're right. It was just 5 teams putting up at least 40 points compared to only 2 last year which made it look like a lot at first glance.

11/09/2011 - Ravens 35 - 7 Steelers.

If you're going to carry on spouting your shit all season again at least get your basic figures right please.

Kris P, your thoughts on the Pass Interference call in the endzone please.

Personally, I think there was enough there to warrant a flag.

The one on Roman Harper, yes..

I thought the Skins DB's got away with murder, specially on Jimmy Graham, all day..

Offence looked mediocre and offbeat the whole first half.. Defense still needs to learn to tackle/wrap up..

Pretty pissed about the whole preformance...

RGIII is the truth..

Well, we lost the opener last year to the Pack and still went 13-3 being one play away from the NFC Chamionship so I'm not worried..

p.s. Vilma on PUP list..
