Bs lost the season finalie which means Habs take the division. Habs get the #2 seed, Bs the #4 seed, and the Senators moved to #7 with the win.

Evil Vito 04-28-2013 09:55 PM

Fuck. Really wanted to play Boston at this point.

Ah well. Unlike the NBA, all 16 teams that make the playoffs actually have a chance at going on a run. Glad the Isles are back in it.

SlickyTrickyDamon 04-28-2013 09:56 PM

Bruins Vs. Leafs. Going to be an interesting series.

Bad News Gertner 04-28-2013 10:01 PM

Lol here's what I've noticed on facebook

Bruins fan to Leafs fan: we're gonna kick your ass

Leafs fan to Bruins fan: wooooo we made the playoffs!

Hahaha we Leafs fans don't give a shit.

SammyG 04-29-2013 12:42 PM

Canucks (3) vs Kings (5) Kings in 6

Blackhawks (1) vs Kings (5) Hawks in 5

FINALS

Blackhawks (1) vs Penguins (1) Pens in 6

I don't get to watch much of the Western Conference, but I truthfully believe that there's little chance of anyone derailing the Pens, short of themselves.

And I really don't see that happening with the amount of playoff-tested talent they have.

LoDownM 04-30-2013 11:38 PM

Good job Quick.

Sabres are my darkhorse
Oilers won't make the playoffs

Finals will be Rangers vs Blues

Rangers in 6

Wasn't far off on this. Go Sabres!

Do they reseed after every round? I thought Wings Hawks would only happen in the WCF.

I agree with most of that tho.

Pens vs Caps- Ovechkin vs Crosby might actually be awesome this time.

Hawks vs Canucks- Because it's just meant to be. I mean, what a Final Four that would be. Boston v Pens might be more appealing in the East, but i personally would like to see Caps vs Pens.

The Blackhawks are very very good. Good defense. Great offense. Great goaltending if Emery is healthy. Toews really should be the MVP of the league. The best 2-way player in the game hands down. Kane, Hossa..Saad is quietly the rookie of the year probably. The Blackhawks are stacked.

LoDownM 05-01-2013 12:22 PM

Highest seed always plays the lowest seed in the second round, so it can happen.

Arashi Kage 05-01-2013 08:08 PM

When did Redden join the B's???? I wasn't aware that he finally made it back into the NHL. Paying off so far for Boston. I loved Redden & Chara in Ottawa.

Coming from a life long leafs hater, I hope the Leafs pull this off and win the series. :y:

Evil Vito 05-01-2013 08:44 PM

Welp...guess this is why not a single person in the world picked the Pens to lose to the Islanders.

JimmyMess 05-01-2013 09:29 PM

Well this game turned out exactly how I said it would.

Emperor Smeat 05-01-2013 09:48 PM

 Bs 4-1 win over the Leafs.

Got him at the trade deadline mainly for depth reasons and ended up only having to give up a late round conditional draft pick.

LoDownM 05-01-2013 10:17 PM

PENSSS

Make the playoffs after a full season and we'll give a shit.

weather vane 05-02-2013 12:40 AM

That was a shit kicking. Not even sure what the Leafs can do to get back into the series. Tough to watch. Bruins.

DaveBrawl 05-02-2013 08:18 AM

Avs get #1 pick in the draft.

#silverlinings

Nicky Fives 05-02-2013 03:22 PM

a little late, but still.....

Pens in 5, Habs in 6, Caps in 5, Bruins in 4, Blackhawks in 6, Ducks in 7, Canucks in 7, Kings in 6

Arashi Kage 05-02-2013 09:56 PM

Weird scheduling:

Leafs-B's get 2 days off between games 1 and 2.
Habs-Sens play games 1 and 2 on consecutive nights then only get 1 day off until game 3. :wtf:

Must be conflict of scheduling at the arenas.

LoDownM 05-03-2013 12:44 AM

Holy crap this Wings/Ducks game.

CBC wants Leafs and Habs on opposite days to maximize T.V ratings. That's my guess and it's smart.

Nicky Fives 05-03-2013 10:57 AM

MTL would have played on Saturday, but Marie-Mai (Quebec singer) is at the Bell Centre this weekend....

Bad News Gertner 05-03-2013 08:53 PM

Well that explains it. Although is does benefit the network.

Evil Vito 05-03-2013 10:13 PM

What a game. Looked like the Isles were gonna get blown out. Hopefully this can generate some momentum headed to the LI.

Skippord 05-04-2013 01:07 AM

RAFFI TORRES!

(rooting against the Canucks)

Emperor Smeat 05-04-2013 10:05 PM

Leafs took Game 2 almost in a reverse of what happened in Game 1.

Leafs scored first but Bs ended up being more active in Game 1 while Bs scored first and the Leafs were more active afterwards in Game 2.

Blitz 05-05-2013 03:32 AM

James Van Riemsdyk just dancing

Evil Vito 05-05-2013 12:57 PM

Damn, what a disappointing first period. Isles get off to a quick 2-0 start and the crowd is absolutely shit hot. Then they give back the lead in 19 seconds after a couple of dumb penalties and the Pens pull ahead to close out the first. Crowd now sitting on their hands.

Corndad 05-05-2013 01:02 PM

That was the loudest I ever heard an Islanders crowd. Matches what we had here for first 2 games in Pittsburgh. Pens although ahead after 1 need to get back to physical game they had in Game 1.

Evil Vito 05-05-2013 03:17 PM

Goddammit. Knew this game was over when that penalty came in.

Isles have played the Pens tough, but they need to win the next 2 if they want to score the upset for the series. They aren't winning back to back games in Pittsburgh.

LoDownM 05-05-2013 03:45 PM

They don't play back to back games at Pittsburgh again.

Evil Vito 05-05-2013 04:06 PM

Shit. Forgot. In a weird way I think it works out better that way. This has been a fun series.

parkmania 05-05-2013 06:58 PM

Penguins still the only team to have not lost in OT this season.

LoDownM 05-05-2013 07:10 PM

Now if they could just stop playing like shit when they have the lead...

parkmania 05-05-2013 09:44 PM

I'm afraid to say it, but Crosby coming back may have been a mistake. It's like everyone (even Iginla, Murray, Morrow) puts it into neutral when Captain "The Kid" is in the lineup.

weather vane 05-05-2013 11:03 PM

That's dumb.

Bad News Gertner 05-06-2013 12:33 AM

Been saying this for a while: best way to combat Boston's toughness is to ignore it. Boston's defence are too slow for Toronto's forwards. Leafs got a shot.

Emperor Smeat 05-06-2013 10:19 PM

:D Bs won and take the 2-1 series lead.
