Von Miller facing the possibility of more games being added to his current suspension because of his recent arrest.

...

Goodell has repeatedly said he would take a sterner approach with what he called "repeat offenders." That Miller was cited during a suspension has certainly been noticed by league and Broncos executives.

...

Goodell also doesn't have to wait for a conviction or public admission of guilt from a player or league official to invoke the policy. To that end, the policy reads: "It is not enough simply to avoid being found guilty of a crime. Instead, as an employee of the NFL or a member club, you are held to a higher standard and expected to conduct yourself in a way that is responsible, promotes the values upon which the league is based, and is lawful."

The Broncos had no official comment Wednesday.

When it comes to the Broncos, there is already precedent for a substance-abuse suspension paired with a personal conduct suspension. Last season, linebacker D.J. Williams was suspended six games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy, and Goodell added three games for violating the personal conduct policy with multiple DUI-related arrests several years apart.

Shut up Urlacher....go away.

Team Sheep 09-12-2013 10:51 PM

Hoping this torrential rain suits the Jets now. Liking Chris Ivory.

Team Sheep 09-12-2013 11:07 PM

Need to run more on first down!!

Evil Vito 09-12-2013 11:50 PM

What a terrible football game.

Team Sheep 09-12-2013 11:54 PM

Ugh. At least it was close... Would still rather Sanchez in there.

Emperor Smeat 09-12-2013 11:55 PM

Happy at how good the Pats D was tonight but the offense is still pretty miserable. Probably won't be until after the Falcons game that they start to gel a lot better.

Evil Vito 09-13-2013 12:02 AM

I still had the Patriots available in one of my Survivor entries...balked at using them because of all the injuries. Though they wound up winning anyway, this game would have scared the crap out of me otherwise.

Definitely taking the Eagles with one of my picks. I'm not buying into the hype just yet...but the Chargers are terrible, the Eagles are home, and it's too early in the year for people to have figured out how to defend Chip Kelly's offense. Would rather use them now before the league catches on and/or Vick gets hurt.

Not sure about the other pick though. Going back and forth between the Packers and Ravens. Both are home. Packers probably have better "future value" but the Ravens have so many people banged up against a good defense.

Nark Order 09-13-2013 12:03 AM

This seems like the most lackluster Pats team that has been around in quite awhile. But they are 2-0 so maybe it doesn't matter.

Team Sheep 09-13-2013 12:24 AM

Well they've squeaked past the Bills and Jets. Time will tell, as they do tend to look pretty lacklustre in the first few weeks of every season and then just blow everybody away from about week 7 or 8 onwards. That offence definitely seems a lot more out of sorts than usual though, and I think that formula of "Tom Brady can make anybody look good" will run out at some point. I think Miami can shock a lot of people and take the East this year. The Jets will improve but be lucky to get 8 wins at best.

Glad I'm not the only person that thinks that might just be the worst football game ever.

Tebow would have been better than Brady last night.

Sepholio 09-13-2013 02:09 PM

Also, Peyton Manning rules you all.

What games do I get to watch today? Hope they're good.

Supreme Olajuwon 09-15-2013 09:41 AM

1:00 on Fox: Washington v. Green Bay. Very good. Both teams interesting. 9/10

1:00 on CBS: Baltimore v. Cleveland. Division rivals. Also rivals with my favorite team. Neither team that interesting. 6/10

4:00 on CBS: Denver v. New York G. Ok. Denver very interesting. New York G sorta interesting. Manning Bowl doesn't do much for me. 8/10.

8:20 on NBC: San Francisco v. Seattle. Yes, very good. Both teams interesting. Division rivals. 9.5/10.

Good football viewing this day. Thank you football.
