Definitely satisfied with the actual Rumble match. Everything rumored to happen did happen, but in this case, I'm glad it did, because that's what I wanted to see.

But some of the other matches were bad.

Tipster performance: :( I should have seen some of this coming, though.
- I actually considered a draw in the LMS match, but then chose HBK for some reason after choosing HHH. Of course. Benoit's going to face HHH at WM, so he has to retain. DUH. And WWE never has one person go cleanly over another, so HBK can't lose... so draw is the logical conclusion. Grrr.
- Bradshaw eliminated first. I was going to pick that then thought that since hosses are always loved, he couldn't go out first.
- Eddie winning. Heart said he wound, but I thought they'd try to start off his feud with Angle accidentally costing him the match. Maybe Eddie's going to be heel after this and feud with face Angle. Basically, he turned heel AFTER he won the match... he'll unleash a new vicious side of him, similar to what the writers tried to do when he killed Tajiri on the lowrider.

Whatever... decent Rumble... the end certainly was great though, and I'm glad it finished on such a strong note.

This isnt the first time either remember Foley-The Rock back in 99 same thing happened

The Mackem 01-26-2004 05:33 AM

The crowd didn't seem to like the ending, did they? (last man standing)

The Mackem 01-26-2004 05:41 AM

I've read a few of the pages and I've missed a week of Smackdown. My question is why is Benoit going to face HHH? Has he switched brands?

Disturbed316 01-26-2004 06:02 AM

Ok I didn't ordered it, but I've seen some clips.

That F5 to Goldberg looked insane, I dont know why, it just did

Goldberg sold it so well

That had to be one of the loudest pops I've heard for a while for Takers bells

PorkSoda 01-26-2004 06:27 AM

I accidently ordered it last night, didnt know I did. But was the crowd like totally dead throughout the night? They didnt really seem like they gave a crap and were just silent pretty much throughout every match and entrance, or was it just my TV?

Seemed like Eddie had to carry Chavo throughout their match.

The rumble was good, but could have been slightly better with the crowd more into it..or my TV was just half-assed or something.

Evil Vito 01-26-2004 06:33 AM

I didn't order the PPV and I was forced to listen to the audio on the PPV channel when the picture was all scrambled, and even that was enough to cause a king-sized orgasm when I heard Taker's bells go off.

Yeah, I thought the same. Unless I need a new TV as well.

Rumor Killer: John Cena Not Injured At Royal Rumble
Published On: 01/26/2004

Despite reports stating otherwise, John Cena was NOT injured on RAW last night.

Cena took a nasty fall from the ring apron to the floor. When he landed, it looked as if he twisted his knee. Although it was an awkward landing, Cena was fine and did a great job of selling.

So again, John Cena is NOT injured.

I'm glad I ordered it, it was pretty good show by WWE standards. The whole card before the Rumble match seemed a bit rushed. The ending to the last man standing match was a huge letdown.
The Rumble match itself was awesome, great to see Benoit go the distance, and 5 people hitting finishers and trying to eliminate Show was pretty damn funny.
Also, i'm not ashamed to admit I marked out like a little bitch when Taker's bells hit, Kane played it really well.
Overall, good show WWE....:y:

Apocolyptik1 01-26-2004 12:39 PM

Hmm, wresltemania...

Benoit doesnt job to HHH, wins the title, and then the Hitman's music hits and he comes down and congratulates Benoit on his win only to do his classic heel-turn and throw Benoit in a sharpshooter :).

I would blow the load.

PorkSoda 01-26-2004 02:36 PM

I marked out too when Takers gong rang, and I marked out even more during the Last Man Standing, just the amount of blood HBK lost was good enough. I thought he really was hurt, you could see some concern in HHH's face as well, but when he yelled "GET UP SHAWN" you could tell it was planned then.

Disturbed316 01-26-2004 03:08 PM

 @ Tazz saying 'Steiner-line'

Corkscrewed 01-26-2004 03:57 PM

I have an idea about Cena's "injury."

They did put up the X sign, but it COULD have been scripted. Yeah, he landed a bit awkwardly, but that might have been part of the storyline to reintroduce him into the US title feud. Basically, the feud would be to end unfinished business and because Big Show "tried to take him out" or something like that.

I dunno, just a thought.

John la Rock 01-26-2004 04:07 PM

Undertaker teaser was the best part of the night IMO

Razor Rybek 01-26-2004 04:18 PM

Very Entertaining PPV however there were a few things that i disliked.

Only one Dudley going through a table :wtf:
Batista is very clumsly when not doing big moves(just an observastion)
Rey and Knoble only getting about five minutes
Eddie and Chavo's non-event of a finish :wtf:
Big Show being made to look awesome by eliminating Cena, Angle and Jericho. When will Vince realise, that no matter what he does and how hard he try's,NO ONE IS EVER GONNA LIKE THE BIG SHOW!!!!

other than that i was very impressed
:y:

mikenegrin 01-26-2004 05:29 PM

hey i was in the crowd, i was on my feet the whole time. the crowd sounded great except for that jackoff behind me who yelled things every five minutes. it was funny the first few times buddy, not after you keep screaming
