Benoit chops away like he's getting an orgasm each time. He meets feet off of a charge and Cena slugs away. Cena meets feet also and gets taken down with a leg screw leg whip. Sharpshooter on Cena. He almost makes the ropes but Benoit draps him back to the center of the ring. Cena tries crawling again to the rope and makes it. More slugging but Benoit UNLOADS THE GERMANS. Slit that throat, BIYATCH!!! Benoit goes up but misses the headbutt. Shoulder block from Cena into a Protobomb. BENOIT CAN'T SEE HIM!!! Five Knuckle Shuffle connects. Benoit tries to counter the FU with the Crossface but Cena locks in the STF and Benoit taps. Wow, that's not going to piss off people. HBK sneaks in and looks to deliver Sweet Chin Music....or is he??? CONFLICT! Handshake offer from HBK and Cena looks to accept but he picks HBK up for the FU.....or will he??? This brings out JBL. This Cena/HBK is the best build to a Mania event since WM XX.

Whic yes I know is only like 3 years ago.

The shows have all just become about plugging WrestleMania and while it makes for some interesting TV it leaves a lot to be desired from a wrestling standpoint. The main events for next week are all about angle advancement anyway so I'm not looking forward to those that much. Hopefully we'll get some more interesting matches added to the card so that we don't end up with another WrestleMania 21 where they struggle to fill four hours with a bunch of crap. Until next week....maybe.

Tbh, I liked Raw.

I mean, I don't like Cena making Benoit tap in any scenario, but you have to realize Benoit's the US champion and Cena's the WWE champ heading into a main event at Wrestlemania.
They need to make him look really strong and beating Benoit who's currently an upper midcarder former champion is a good way to do it.

Doesn't mean we have to like it, but you should understand it.

Triple H/Batista had a great build.

O yeah I forgot about that one actually, and it was tremendous.

I still think I like the build to this one more though.

Both Smackdown and Raw champions are faces going in, and their opponents are faces for the time being right now.

I miss the days of the face hunting the heel, or even the reverse of it.
