Semin-Backstrom-Ovechkin = best line in hockey btw

Londoner 12-12-2009 08:25 PM

I dunno how he can breathe in that, was painful hearing him talk!! looks so tight around his neck :D

Londoner 12-12-2009 08:43 PM

Great game at toronto.

Arashi Kage 12-12-2009 08:51 PM

Not a Leafs fan, but great 2nd period by the Leafs. :y:

OssMan 12-12-2009 09:21 PM

Why the fuck are we staring Michael Neuvirth... ugh

Arashi Kage 12-12-2009 09:25 PM

Awesome short-handed goal by Stempniak!

Emperor Smeat 12-12-2009 09:50 PM

Tim Thomas is really having a "down" year with the Bruins so far. Either he's been making silly mistakes or not as sharp as last season although to be fair last year was his best season and still plenty of games left to get better.

He's not Manny Fernandez bad which is good (something like 8 Goals Allowed per game at one point).

El Fangel 12-14-2009 04:35 PM

Julian will soon start Rask if he is smart, the kid is bloody fucking amazing.

Emperor Smeat 12-14-2009 06:22 PM

ESPN is saying Thomas starts Monday vs Flyers but also noted that another "bad" game or two and he could end up loosing the starter's role and be put in as the 2nd goalie in a back-to-back set of games.

Londoner 12-14-2009 10:06 PM

LOL now i've never seen that before, buffalo 4-3 montreal, clock malfunctioned.:D

He didnt have a bad game tonight, 2 goals on 37 shots is good, the team just let him down.

Emperor Smeat 12-14-2009 10:29 PM

Yeah didn't mean to imply he's the main reason for the team stinking or giving up on certain games. Last year was basically his career year so it was assumed he would go back to normal this season.

The whole team is being too inconsistent than they should be for the talent they have. Might be related to how last season "spoiled" them with a #1 seed in the East and low expectations unlike this year with higher expectations and the injuries being bad to start the season.

Not going to be upset though since they still have the 5th seed unlike earlier in the season when they were in the 11th/12th range in the East.

El Fangel 12-14-2009 10:44 PM

I think losing Kessel was a major blow to the team, they seem to not have that "Holy fuck, we are playing the bruins, fuck" type of deal going on this year.

Last year there was Lucic - Savard - Kessel, that was a scary combo, now its Sturm - Savard - Ryder and that isnt nearly as imposing, plus they got rid of Chara - Wideman which worked out well.

LA Kings on the other hand, got their shit together.

Emperor Smeat 12-14-2009 10:49 PM

Yeah Kings are the real "shock" team so far compared to previous years of usually being in last place or near last place. Might actually benefit the Sharks more since no more slagging off thinking they are the best in the season and then fall apart in the playoffs.

El Fangel 12-14-2009 10:51 PM

I am pretty disappointed with Montreal this year, Its one of those on paper - great, on ice - terrible teams.

Plus, Prices inconsistantcy is brutal. I mean one night 53/55 and the next 11/15.

I dont know to even suggest to fix the team to be honest.

Londoner 12-14-2009 10:59 PM

Good to see the leafs won again!

Me and my dad talked about going to the Caps/Avs game, but decided not to.

Skippord 12-16-2009 12:14 AM

going to that Avs game worked out well for me

:|

OssMan 12-16-2009 01:51 AM

Hey at least you got to see some dickhead on your team take a cheapshot at Mike Green

Gertner 12-16-2009 01:59 AM

Koci fucking levelled Green. The Caps need a better option than Erskine to stick up for their stars.

Skippord 12-16-2009 02:03 AM

weirdly someone's been viciously hit and injured in both games I've gone to this year

Skippord 12-16-2009 02:04 AM

Koci leveled Green and then kicked Erskine's(or whoever it was I couldn't really tell) ass

Gertner 12-16-2009 02:11 AM

lol first fight Koci's won all season.

Skippord 12-16-2009 02:22 AM

as long as I never have to see Marek Svatos fight again I'll be happy

Heyman 12-16-2009 03:03 AM

Latest rumors indicate that Lecavlier might be getting traded out of Tampa. The likeliest locations are Montreal, New York Rangers, and Los Angeles. LA has a lot of cap space and so they are a good candidate. Kopitar and Lecavlier as a one-two punch at center could be f'cking dangerous.

Londoner 12-16-2009 07:38 PM

Really pumped for this toronto game, bet they get beaten easily though.

Londoner 12-16-2009 08:02 PM

Cunting bollocksing bastards, leafs 1-0 down

El Fangel 12-17-2009 11:52 AM

Heyman, its like the Phoenix Coyotes deal over the summer.

By the time something actually DOES happen, no one will fucking care.

OssMan 12-20-2009 05:18 PM

Great comeback by THE CAPS last night, Ovechkin's second goal = unreal

LoDownM 12-26-2009 02:22 AM

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=511060

Scary line up there.

Emperor Smeat 12-26-2009 02:28 AM

Whoever manages to beat Russia with that lineup might pull off another 1980's Miracle on Ice as long as its not Canada since they also a quality team.

OssMan 12-28-2009 09:34 PM

Caps send Chris Clark and Milan Jurcina to Columbus for Jason Chimera

Emperor Smeat 12-29-2009 02:33 AM

So far Northeast division in the East currently has 4 teams in "playoff" spots with Toronto being the only team not in the top 8 for the division. I remember a few years ago when the division managed to have all 5 teams in the top 8 until late into the season.
