Still have the same feelings about the WWE title Triple Threat match. Match itself was good but didn't care for it back than and didn't care about it now.

Mayweather vs Big Show is arguably Big Show's best ever Mania match. Had no reason at all to be as good as it was in the end. Also pretty funny this Mania supposedly made one of the least amount of money ever in Mania history when considering the rumored amount WWE spent to get Mayweather.

Emperor Smeat 03-21-2018 11:16 PM

Taker-Edge match reminded me of the stretch of great Mania matches Taker had from Mania 23 to either Mania 26 or 29 depending on your preferences.

Everything after Taker-HBK II was overkill but him retiring after hitting 20-0 or after the streak broke would have been a lot better than him still dragging on.

Evil Vito 03-21-2018 11:24 PM

I would love to bang Rhea Ripley.

Droford 03-21-2018 11:25 PM

KO has gone to being Kevin Steen on Twitter and Sami just tweeted still as Sami.

Doh

Emperor Smeat 03-21-2018 11:28 PM

Rey Mysterio officially got pulled from NJPW's US show this weekend.

Instead of Jushin Liger vs Mysterio, its now Liger vs Will Ospreay.

Doh

Well, to be fair, Kevin Steen's WWE name is Kevin Owens, where Sami Zayn could just be Sami Zayn's "shoot" WWE name.

I honestly feel wrestlers never know when enough is enough. Whether it's their own career, a gimmick, or a storyline.

Shawn Michaels aside.

#BROKEN Hasney 03-22-2018 08:20 AM

I like what HBK said in his table for 3 with AJ, that he would come back for a single match if it makes sense. But if he comes back and wins, who's that done for anyone and if AJ beats him, it's just expected.

Mr. Nerfect 03-22-2018 08:52 AM

I wouldn't mind that expected outcome if it's a classic match and moment.

Random fact. Since WM 13 I have witnessed every Wrestlemania live on PPV or The Network with the exception of WM 20 and WM 29. Both years I was too busy and lost interest in WWE around WM season. I just put on WM 29 to watch. The thing is, I've never really been able to sit through either show without falling asleep. So anyway, here goes with 29.

According to the Observer, WWE is still working on plans for an eventual UK division to happen. They also have plans for a new Performance Center to open in the region.

In regards to a potential tv show, still not happening any time soon and the big reason is due to ITV looking more likely they won't be restarting their World of Sport project. Without ITV's competition, WWE has no motivation to speed things up with the UK stuff.

The "big five," which they consider as Trent Seven, Tyler Bate, Pete Dunne, Wolfgang and Mark Andrews were believed to have gotten better deals, in at least one case from $20,000 a year to $50,000. They also just signed Zack Gibson, and it was for the U.K. project and not for NXT. The idea is still to do tapings and run a U.K. based promotion, and eventually open a training center with the idea of bringing U.K. trainers to Florida (like Johnny Moss already did) to teach them how WWE wants people trained and have them run it ...

In the U.K. dressing rooms the word has been passed around that Joe Coffey has signed a U.K. deal, but Coffey himself has personally denied it. The problem is the immediate counter is that he has to say that until WWE announces it, but as a story, this has already spread in different places

#BROKEN Hasney 03-22-2018 04:26 PM

I find it hilarious that they're doing all this glamorous shit in markets they're trying to crack like he Greatest Royal Rumble.... and the UK gets an even in Bumfucknowhere, Kent

Cool King 03-22-2018 04:32 PM

They should call the event "The Jolly Boys' Outing" and end it with Kane or someone like that blowing up a coach.

According to PWI, WWE is in serious talks again with Hogan for a possible return to the company.

If they seriously bring him back publicly, WWE is even dumber than before since they would have learned nothing from the Moolah mess. Also wouldn't be surprised if Vince gets revealed as the main person responsible again since he's been the biggest supporter of wanting Hogan back since his departure.

PWInsider.com has learned that conversations are underway for Hogan, 64-years old, to return to the company. Discussions began several weeks ago.

There is no word yet as to what role Hogan could play for the company should the two sides come to terms. The obvious guess would be an authority role for the Smackdown brand. It fits logically, given that Shane McMahon has taken a “leave of absence” from his role as Smackdown Live’s storyline Commissioner and Daniel Bryan is returning as a pro wrestler, but that’s just a guess.

It could simply be Hogan is returning to resume his former duties as an ambassador for the company. Wrestlemania is coming and as nonsensical as it sounds, Braun Strowman needs a partner. WWE is also lining up tons of major names for the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. Hogan would certainly fit in as a major addition there. There will always be a need for star power to mine for future DVD and WWE Network projects. Hogan fits into all those scenarios and many more.

WWE, in responding to a PWInsider request for comment, issued the following statement:

“"We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes, however, he is not under any contract with WWE."

So Jeff Jarrett managed to not just tank World of Sport but also WWE UK AT the same time?

Thanks Double J

A UK promotion with a TV deal, 5 Star Wrestling, went under this week. They'd booked some large arenas and seemed to mainly be trying to push former WWE stars which I doubt were cheap so think they may have been over ambitious.

If Strowman and Hogan team up I may drop dead after as there's no reason for me to live anymore. I want to die with that as my last memory.

That would be epic. Only thing that could possibly be better would be to have Titus Worldwide in the match so Hogan could get the pin on a black guy to show he's not racist and will squash anyone.

5 Star were absolutely clueless and made some absolutely apprehensible decisions. The ridiculous 128 man tournament, falsely claiming to have booked CM Punk for 1 million per appearance, cancelling all their shows everywhere "because of the Manchester bombing", booking guys and then telling them they don't actually want to use them when they get to the arena. Shitty company all round.

Random WM prediction. In an effort to get Roman cheered after beating Lesnar, Lesnar will be instructed to get color hardway. If the last match is any indication, this match will be incredibly stiff.

Pro Wrestling UK Ltd. were running the 5 Star Wrestling events but it was shut down for some reason, leaving 5 Star Wrestling no option but to fold.

They did focus a lot on former WWE talent, but Zack Gibson did get a pretty good push during the company's run.

They never claimed to have booked CM Punk. They made an offer to him for £1m, which to be fair, was most likely a publicity stunt.

Also, what's your source on them saying they canceled their shows because of what happened in Manchester? I had been following them since day one and this is the first I've heard of Manchester being the reason for the cancellations.

I always thought it was because some big names like Mysterio and Carlito couldn't make the original dates but to my knowledge, 5 Star Wrestling never actually explained why the dates were canceled and moved.

They posted a statement on their website (which no longer exists outside of a front page) and emailed all the talent very close to the date cancelling the entire tour of bookings and citing that reason. Not even sure if any of the shows were even supposed to be in Manchester. In reality they didn't sell enough tickets to cover the huge losses they were taking. Lots of UK guys were very open / pissed off about it on twitter.

Jordan 03-24-2018 04:09 PM

In my opinion, WWF's biggest booking error was not having Hogan beat Flair at WM 8, and then Hogan drop to Bret Hart at WM 9.

It's a glitch. I once made a (poorly recorded) video on it on my OLD channel, both of which are probably long gone by now as I think I put the vid up about a decade or so ago.

Bonus Fact: The ref's theme will be either the early 2003 SD! theme (for matches at SD! and SD! exclusive PPVs and dual-brand ppvs where both competitors are on SD!) or "Across the Nation" (for matches at RAW and RAW exclusive PPVs and dual-brand PPVs where both competitors are on RAW).
