Also, I am not dissapointed cause all this year did was knock off the band wagon jumpers..

Yeah, then..

Come on though. Really? New Orleans had some pretty good games but the key players were horribly inconsistent when they were healthy. Brees looked like he did early in his career and Reggie Bush still hasn't put up NEARLY the numbers he was expected to.

and throughout most of your life the Cowboys have been a pretty big joke. In the last 10 years Eagles pretty much dominted the NFC east.

So I can make fun of the Cowboys, and their recent failures.

Are we talking about the past or are we talking about this season? Figure it out and get back to me on whether I should just make fun of Philly for not even making the playoffs this year or for never winning a Super Bowl in their existence. I'm pretty easy. I'll let you choose the argument, I don't really care one way or the other. lol

Gonzo 01-14-2008 07:28 PM

lol I'm all for friendly jabs back and forth but this is ridiculous. I find it hilarious when people bring up a team's past accomplishments when they should be talking about the here and now. lol wtf.

Kris P Lettus 01-14-2008 07:30 PM

What are you talking about??

Brees is still one of the best QB's in the league and Bush is still one of the best utilities players.. With Deuce being hurt (first quarter week 3), Bush was put in the position to be an every down back, which he is not.. He is much better in motion and playing wide out or slot.. Sure they made a horrible pick up in Jason "I'm the biggest piece of shit alive" David but other than that our D was fairly stout.. Good line, with decent linebackers, and guys like Mike McKenzie who didn't give up a TD until like week 15..

Other key injuries hurt us big also.. Brian Young was hurt for most of the season with Charles Grant fighting injuries for more than half the season.. Look at what the Colts great pass rushing line looked like without Freeney.. When some of your best d-linemen are hurt, that allows opposing o-lines to double up on guys like Will Smith etc.. Colston and Eric Johnson fought injuries late and Reggie missed like 3 and half game in the second half of the season..

Show me any team who lose 3 RB's for multiple games in one season, who make the super bowl..

McLegend 01-14-2008 07:30 PM

Please make fun of the Eagles and Philadelphia. We are suppse to lose. We are losers. The Cowboys though are America's team and suppose to win. Cowboys are now Chokers. You are the Yankees of the NFL. You don't see the hilarity in that?

And also the Eagles can take credit for laying the blueprint on how to beat the Cowboys anyway.

So either way I'm cool.

#1-norm-fan 01-14-2008 07:31 PM

lol. I'm not really one for getting into "my team vs. yours" arguments but if someone else says something, I'll jump into it and argue whatever they feel like arguing. Just pick something though. lol.

I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying that simply losing 3 RBs in one season does not make a valid argument that you would have gone to a Super Bowl with them.

Well, you've made my point. I'm done.

Kris P Lettus 01-14-2008 07:36 PM

Oh I didn't say that at all though.. I'm just saying with the injuries we had and inconsistancy I'd rather have not backed into the playoff cause all it would have gained us is a worse draft pick and another humiliating loss..

#1-norm-fan 01-14-2008 07:38 PM

And Brees isn't a bad QB... one of the best is pushing it a little.

I think without the injuries, New Orleans would have made the playoffs but I don't feel like they would have made a very big impact. The team, when healthy just didn't have a consistent feel to me.

Romo and Wade Phillps would fit in nicely then.

What are you smoking??

He is def top five.. Even though he still put up pretty great numbers in several games this year, the lack of a running game hurt him because he was forced to throw ALOT more.. We are much better when we establish the run and then use play action, than just running single back shotgun..

As would Peyton Manning... and Donavan McNabb... and 29 other QBs and every player from 29 other teams and 29 other coaches who won't win it all... do you have a point?

Kris P Lettus 01-14-2008 07:46 PM

FUCK THE BROKEBACK COWBOYS

Yeah, that's the point..

lol but everyone you mentioned right there as won playoff games at least.

Has Romo and Wade Phillips ever done that?

He's a good QB. His numbers get inflated a bit by the fact that they opt to run screens most of the time rather than run.

Top 5? That would imply that he is better than either Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Tony Romo, Brett Favre, or Matt Hasselbeck.

The one you COULD argue is Hasselbeck, however it would be a tough argument to make. And I didn't include some guys on that list that I think are better because you would just argue that they had a bad season (Carson Palmer, for example)

Innovator 01-14-2008 07:50 PM

I'd toss Wade out the door, let Jason Garrett step up

Wade Phillips sucks... lol

And Romo has played less than 2 seasons...

But again, if you want to talk about the past, just say so?

#1-norm-fan 01-14-2008 07:55 PM

Wait... I'm getting caught up in arguing again. I'm forgetting that this is the guy who is trying to call someone a loser:

You brought up the 5 super bowls. I assumed you wanted to talk about the past.

Was I wrong with the assumption?

In his two years in NOLA, Brees has beat both Romo and Hasselbeck so..

Oh boy! lol

You know who beat Brees this year? Kyle Orton. I was unaware that that is how you rank QBs. based on whose team beat who. So let's go ahead and throw Kyle Orton ahead of all three of those guys. :y:

I've never heard the well known "Losers can recognize their own kind" adage but if it's true...

lol. I still saw a good amount of fans during the 5-11 seasons. Maybe you should have left the house or something.

It wouldn't have mattered, because all Cowboys fans are front runners.
