I honestly only remember him being a really tall guy that Dalton Castle called "Banana hands" once when he was going full Shallow Hal.

Didn't even know he was down in developmental. I thought he fell off the world like so many people do.

Very hyped for Cody vs Omega this weekend, but can't convince myself to watch Supercard of Honor over TakeOver.

Anybody Thrilla 04-03-2018 12:52 AM

Why do they keep trying to bring Del Rio back when you have Almas and Vega just sitting there?

1) I was expecting the 3Count green circles to show up at some point.

2) I couldn't not imagine CM Punks trunks-shitting story, and his Vince McMahon impression: "... and you're gonna get ALL WHITE GEARRR!"

Its due to Vince and WWE being absolutely terrible at developing a big Mexican star on their own. Vince's biggest weakness for a very long time has been his handling of lucha style wrestlers since its the one style that barely meshes with his preferred WWE style.

They got super lucky with Rey Mysterio and Del Rio due to WCW doing all the work beforehand for Mysterio and Del Rio being an established big star in Mexico prior to arriving in the WWE.

Anybody Thrilla 04-03-2018 01:15 AM

I mean, Almas seems to be coming along beautifully.

Anybody Thrilla 04-03-2018 01:16 AM

And I can't say enough about Zelena Vega. So good. So sexy. She's a star.

Almas has some really good big star potential but wouldn't be surprised at all if he fails on the main roster like Kalisto when it comes to them trying to building a big Mexican star on their own. Best case is him being a constant star in the IC/US scene.

If it wasn't for the spark Vega provided, he'd probably still be floundering in NXT because even they struggled to handle him well prior to the Vega pairing.

Fignuts 04-03-2018 05:49 AM

Almas speaks less English than Asuka.

He's got charisma but not enough to make up for that imo

Innovator 04-03-2018 10:30 AM

He's tranquilo, that makes up for it

slik 04-03-2018 10:56 AM

I think this is is overall the strongest card for a WrestleMania since WM X-Seven.

Maybe? It's hard to say, because I love the lower card, but Cena/Taker, Roman/Brock and The Rousey match I give so few shits about and they're the biggest matches in terms of promotion. I think of they're all in the final chunk, it will make for a deflating experience.

Possible WM34 set description:

SPOILER: show

The WrestleMania 34 set has been described as a huge hat with a Fleur De Lis and WM logo via stageswwe on insta. Interesting!

slik 04-03-2018 12:28 PM

Here's a video of a French YT'r attempting to get into the SDome -- he does get video footage of what appears to be the top of the set and lighting rigs above the ring around 3:10

That's why I keep mentioning Vega in this package.

Jordan 04-03-2018 03:39 PM

I wonder what the point of the NXT North American title is? Is it like a "King of the indies" title? If so that's cool, that actually helps the NXT title be even bigger.

i'm probably the only want who wants to see Jeff Jarrett and Hulk Hogan each have one more match at a Wrestlemania.

Emperor Smeat 04-03-2018 11:54 PM

Based on data from the Observer, this year's Road to Mania for RAW actually managed to break the years long streak of the current year doing worse than the previous year's Road period.

The biggest reasons were RAW having fewer declining weeks and the RAW 25 show doing mega numbers.

In regards to the go-home episode, the decline was due to it competing with last year's RAW After Mania show.

and Monday was the end of March Madness

Emperor Smeat 04-04-2018 01:15 AM

WWE actually caught a huge break since this year's NCAA championship game barely affected the numbers for this week's RAW. Also helped this year's title game wasn't on CBS unlike last year.

Only if Jarrett lays down for him at the opening bell again.

Jarrett could probably wrestle another match.

Hogan should never be allowed near a ring ever

slik 04-04-2018 09:30 AM

I hope Hogan is the new GM of RAW or SDLive

Big Vic 04-04-2018 09:32 AM

I hope he is the GM of 205Live once Rapstar Potato starts wrestling.

Me too. Less desire to ever watch Raw and Smackdown again and not waste time.

Sixx 04-04-2018 09:54 AM

This again?

Keep Hogan away from wrestling for good.

slik 04-04-2018 10:11 AM

Hogan deserves a good final run in the 'E in some role.
He's the biggest name in the history of pro-wrestling.

Sixx 04-04-2018 10:17 AM

How many final runs can one have? Fuck's sake.

slik 04-04-2018 10:20 AM

His last one was interrupted b/c of his sex tape. Glad he dropped the big boot on Gawker.

Hogan should get a final run as a GM and then a huge send-off as big if not bigger than Flair got. For a company that honors Andre and Warrior each year, it wouldn't be right to not acknowledge the Hulkster in some way. Hogan, Savage and Warrior were the biggest stars of the era that redefined pro-wrestling.

You can't be serious about the Warrior.

wwe2222 04-04-2018 10:32 AM

Ill never not want to see Hogan on tv.

I'd rather they didn't honour the Warrior either tbh rather than add bullshit.

It's time to move on.

Simple Fan 04-04-2018 10:35 AM

I'd like to see Hogan back. I think he will be the Smackdown GM after Bryan quits to wrestle. Hogan vs Cena next year at Wrestlemania.

Sixx 04-04-2018 10:39 AM

I used to be a huge Hogan mark, mainly watched WCW because of him. But seriously, fuck off already. Stay home, brother.
