Not over yet

Aguakate 10-24-2010 12:16 AM

I thought it was over in the first. Oswalt pitching, a 2 run inning, the Giants don't hit alot...I thought the Phillies had it in the bag.

McLegend 10-24-2010 12:17 AM

The Phillies really need Johhny Damon in this game.

Aguakate 10-24-2010 12:21 AM

The BEARD is coming up to the plate! LoL

Triple Naitch 10-24-2010 12:25 AM

How can Victorino be the best base stealer on the team while also being the worst base runner in baseball?

It means the rest of the team sucks.

The Fraze 10-24-2010 12:29 AM

LET'S GO GIANTS

Aguakate 10-24-2010 12:34 AM

Man...this is nail-biting.

The Fraze 10-24-2010 12:36 AM

I'm in my car listening to the call...so nervewracking. I think I'm losing weight.

Aguakate 10-24-2010 12:38 AM

Haha yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeah, buddy!

McLegend 10-24-2010 12:39 AM

Congrats to the Giants. The phillies biggest issue the past 4 years has been hitting with runners in scoring postion, and this year they didn't have the long ball to bail them out.

DaveWadding 10-24-2010 12:39 AM

Wow.

Triple Naitch 10-24-2010 12:39 AM

Fuck.

McLegend 10-24-2010 12:39 AM

Not congrats to you front runners though.

RoXer 10-24-2010 12:40 AM

Will never understand how professionals can just look at that pitch go by.

Emperor Smeat 10-24-2010 12:40 AM

 the umpire with the dramatic delayed K call.

Crazy how the World Series is set to be Giants vs Rangers.

Before the playoffs started, Giants were fighting to even make the playoffs while everyone assumed red-hot Phillies would take the NL. The Rangers dominated a very weak AL West but also had issues and either the Rays or Yankees were expected to take the AL.

Triple Naitch 10-24-2010 12:41 AM

I don't dislike the Giants, but I'll be pulling for the Rangers in the World Series.

Aguakate 10-24-2010 12:41 AM

ALCS ends on a superstar striking out looking, and so does the NLCS.

Juan 10-24-2010 12:41 AM

wooooooooooo

Tb1 10-24-2010 12:41 AM

MOTHER FUCKING YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Tb1 10-24-2010 12:42 AM

Shaking right now. Unbelievable series.

McLegend 10-24-2010 12:42 AM

I also no idea it was the Joe Carter anniversary. What a terrible day.

Sanchez coming out was the best possible thing for the Giants.

Skippord 10-24-2010 12:42 AM

looks like the Straight Edge Society is going to have to handle the Giants

McLegend 10-24-2010 12:44 AM

Also the Phillies really need a bat this off season.

Evil Vito 10-24-2010 12:44 AM

Fucking so happy right now. Now I can finally watch a World Series without having a team I hate in it.

Juan 10-24-2010 12:45 AM

this is pretty awesome.

Aguakate 10-24-2010 12:46 AM

A Rangers-Giants World Series. The Giants haven't won in a while, and the Rangers never have. So, I mean, it's AWESOME.

Tb1 10-24-2010 12:46 AM

Props to the Phillies, could've gone either way

Skippord 10-24-2010 12:47 AM

I hate it when former Rockies do things to help teams I'm rooting against

Tb1 10-24-2010 12:47 AM

Yeah, Giants haven't won in 60 years

Aguakate 10-24-2010 12:47 AM

This is a pretty evenly matched World Series. Both teams beat the "powerhouses" of their respective leagues to get there, so they deserve it.

Triple Naitch 10-24-2010 12:48 AM

Amazing how the Giants could never win with one of the best hitters of all time on their roster, but are going to the World Series built around pitching and small ball.

Everyone of their players(not pitchers) is a cast off.

That's even more amazing. It doesn't really make any sense.

Skippord 10-24-2010 12:49 AM

why is this guy giving the National League trophy to Bill Clinton?

Same thing with the Rangers, when they had Juan Gonzalez, Pudge Rodriguez, AROD, Palmeiro, etc. A lot of hitting, but no pitching and no small ball. It was said they couldn't win because of their ballpark, but they're playing in the same ballpark they did in the 90's and they are winning.

It's awesome, for both teams.

Triple Naitch 10-24-2010 12:50 AM

Did they say his name is Wayne Newton?

Skippord 10-24-2010 12:51 AM

I find it a little hard to take the Giants seriously with their front office being entirely comprised of celebrity impersonators

Skippord 10-24-2010 12:52 AM

as much as I like Bruce Bochy, I hate listening to him talk

Yeah, but the Rangers made it because of their hitting (and Cliff Lee). Giants completely remodeled their team philosophy.

McLegend 10-24-2010 12:54 AM

Just for the record Cliff Lee would have won game 1. So the Phillies front office still should get ripped for that disaster.
