it's cool, it has to be drawn out until the last possible moment, I can pull off an Abe Simpson "MRS BOUVIERRRRRRR" at the church. Anything else just wouldn't be wrestling.

lol. What foresight is needed here? He's taking at the very least a couple months off after WrestleMania... Do you really think there's any chance they'd just forget about the WWE title for months?

P.S. You definitely shouldn't antagonize when talking about foresight. I'd just bring back that "You're dense if you don't think Triple H is gonna beat Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam" quote. ;)

No it wouldn't. If he won at WrestleMania and then tried to pull a Punk and leave the company with the title storyline-wise, it would definitely come off as him saying "fuck you" to everyone and being heel-ish. Think about it.

You're definitely going too far with this "anytime anything that could be construed as negative is said about The Rock, I'm gonna throw out a 'mark'" thing. lol That wasn't even a negative thing. It's just what his character would come off as if they booked a storyline like that.

Yeah, I literally just said I wasn't antagonizing or being disrespectful, but if I chose to, I only have LITERALLY one quote about Brock going over.

You fuss 2 minutes after every pay-per-view is over, complaining about the booking with no FORESIGHT involved. I could literally quote you dozens of times.

I'm not coming at you or anything. I'm just saying, based off of your posts, foresight is not one of your strong suits. If it was, you wouldn't get on here after every PPV, spewing "omg i can't believe they did this" and "this guy looks weak now."

a guy that uses "marks" that often like he really has a clue when he spends time posting on an internet message board probably shouldn't be giving anybody else shit

In that case, I don't know what that has to do with me saying I can't see any way Rock could keep the belt while he's not with the company for half the year. Is there some foresight you think I'm missing?

I didn't say it wouldn't apply like you said...

I said it would apply to marks more than anyone else...which is accurate...

When I read quotes that can be summed up by "a part timer shouldn't have the belt rah rah rah" especially 5 minutes after it happened, it just screams "mark" to me. It just so happens that that part timer is The Rock.

Shadrick 02-22-2013 05:45 PM

I mean, I just want to be entertained ultimately. But half the time, I do understand your gripes, even though I may not be as quick to jump, because the E has proven their track record time and time again, especially when it comes to decent long-term booking.

Case in point, with Cena. I thought this losing streak he was on would mean something, long term. Hell, I was optimistic that his loss to The Rock at Mania would mean something long term, and while it still might (as in, he loses again and it does SOMETHING to his character), it doesn't really seem like long-term, they had a plan for it.

#1-norm-fan 02-22-2013 06:22 PM

I started to write a long response to that. Then I contained myself. I've actually enjoyed how things are going more in recent weeks in the big picture. I'll save my rants on the booking for when things go to shit and guys debut with cryptic videos and silent promos and then say "trolled ya!" and move on like nothing happened again. :shifty:

#1-norm-fan 02-22-2013 06:23 PM

Though once Fandango debuts, they can do whatever the fuck they want because I'll likely stop giving a fuck about the rest of the show anyway.

From the front page and dirtsheets:

Quote:

WWE has extended an invitation to talk show host and political commentator, Glenn Beck to appear live this Monday on Raw, in response to a segment that aired on TheBlaze TV yesterday. In the segment, Beck references WWE as “stupid wrestling people,” when criticizing a recent WWE storyline involving WWE characters Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio®, Jack Swagger® and Zeb Colter®. WWE is giving Beck the opportunity to address our 14 million weekly viewers and our global fan base, as he believes we are offending our “conservative” fans with this storyline.
Quote:

Jack Swagger was scheduled to win the World Heavyweight Title from Alberto Del Rio at WrestleMania 29. WWE’s creative team has now met several times this week to discuss how to deal with Swagger’s DUI and drug arrest on Tuesday.

If he is pulled from WrestleMania, he will not only lose a big payday (upwards of $250,000) but Dolph Ziggler will likely get the title shot.
So far only Clark has said it was meant to happen while most have either hinted it was possible or as just an option.

Glenn Beck has responded to the WWE’s challenge that he appear on their program after criticizing their new Tea Party-inspired character.

Beck’s answer? “Unfortunately I am currently booked doing anything else."

I knew it wouldn't happen even though Raw is in Dallas where he lives

I mentioned this in another thread, I'm hoping the WWE takes this arrest and spins it into his gimmick somehow. What if Jack Swagger was raped while in his holding cell? Have Jack Swagger show signs of rape trauma. Or continually be put in positions to be raped again. Would be comedic GOLD. :y:
