After the upcoming December NXT ppv, next one is rumored to occur during Mania 31 week.

That's a while away! I would have thought they would do a tie-in with Royal Rumble with a few NXT spots in the 40 man match on the line.

Rumble would be too short to have another NXT ppv mainly because of the deal they have with Full Sail University. Need to have a dedicated Rumble week like Mania to pull that off in another location.

Them doing it at Mania would be huge for two reasons. Gives NXT a chance to perform at a larger audience and at the same time combat other indie promotions who run their big money making shows of the year during that week.

Something like between 50-75% of all the money indie promotions make in a year is during Mania week.

Nah, I meant doing another special the week (Thursday) of the Rumble at FSU itself. The Mania thing is of course on a larger scale and one that hopefully pays off.

I thought WWE made all the local venues sign a no compete clause type thing to keep Indy shows from running anywhere close for next year.

From reading other boards it seems the IWC has changed their mind about Ryback and I think it has to do with how badly Reigns has done.

I know they won't admit it but I think the main gripe with thw IWC was that they had it in their heads that finally size and look means less than workrate with Punk and Bryan, and ole Ryback came along and basically said to the IWC "yeah.....about that".

A big man will ALWAYS get pushed ahead of a smaller guy in the WWE if the company notices he is getting over regardless of skill. He got over with a chant, squashing jobbers which didn't sit well with the smarks.

Regardless of why he got over, he was red fucking hot. And he's not some schlub in the ring. He's better than Reigns.

I think his time with Axel benefitted Ryback. His in ring work has improved a lot during his time. Start by having Rybaxel lose a match. At the end of the match have Axel slap Ryback. Ryback sells the slap by turning around and then Meathook Axel. Quick feud with Ryback kicking Axel's ass and bam, you're off and running. I'd love a face Ryback vs heel Sheamus feud. Hard hitting matches with two big personalities.

It sucks that WWE wasn't willing to let Angle work part-time. The best thing WWE has been doing over the past few years was making good use of their part timers. It's like they know each appearance/match is precious and put decent focus on building them up. Any match with Lesnar brings a big fight feel in part because he's not wrestling every night. They could use more guys like that. Angle would be a perfect "special attraction".

He's a year out of rehab. The other people who were given part-time deals don't have dodgy track records with pills and booze.

Wouldn't that be more of a problem if he signed a full time deal...

Sometimes it's nice to let people down gently. It might be that WWE would be interested in taking Kurt back once they can be sure he's over his "demons". He's a year out of rehab, maybe that's not enough stability for WWE to take the chance. By saying "we don't think you're worth a part time deal" or putting Kurt's nose out of joint needlessly they could sour the relationship entirely.

I really can't see why WWE wouldn't want him on a part time deal if they believed him to be sober. Yeah it'd be nice for them to get him full time, especially with the depleted roster, but surely it's better to have a guy like Kurt half the time, than not at all
