I'm just glad he's not our problem anymore.

Droford 03-18-2015 06:23 PM

Bernard Pierce got a DUI in Baltimore.

Quote:

While Officer Kindervater was helping the defendant into the rear seat of his patrol vehicle the defendant asked if this incident could be kept off the books. Officer Kindervater explained that he was under arrest for DUI and that couldn't be kept off the books. The defendant advised he would take citations if it could be kept off the books. The defendant then slurred "Never mind."

When en-route to precinct six the defendant uttered "Do you know what happened the last time a Raven player got a DUI? I'm getting cut tomorrow, not like you care."
And he just got cut. Good thing they managed to keep Forsett

They suck. And Sanantonio Holmes' toe never touched.

Also, the San Francisco 49ers never won a Super Bowl without Joe Montana, Steve Young, or Jerry Rice. Their last Super Bowl win was 20 fucking years ago.

Greg Hardy to Dallas. 1 year, incentive laden deal for up to 13.1 mil, no guaranteed money. Dallas making a lot of relatively safe moves with a lot of upside. I'm not sure how contracts like this work against the salary cap though so a one year deal "potentially" worth that much money seems high considering how strapped for cash they are.

Droford 03-18-2015 06:30 PM

Also the Colts made a proposal to the Rules Committee for the possibility of 9 pt plays with the addition of a bonus 50 yard PAT if teams successfully go for a 2 pt conversion after a touchdown.

Emperor Smeat 03-18-2015 06:39 PM

Seems really unnecessary and should just tack on the extra point to 50+ yard field goals like in the CFL.

road doggy dogg 03-18-2015 07:05 PM

Harvin to the Bills fo' realzies

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-18-2015 07:49 PM

The shit has hit the fan for 2nd place in the AFC East.

Nark Order 03-19-2015 02:14 PM

I love that Rex Ryan will go down in history as the hundhunter of Bill Belichick. He also plays them so hard. Even this season. It's like when the Ravens play the Steelers.

Those Bills/Pats games will probably be insane.

such an odd argument

"The Dallas Cowboys never won a Super Bowl without Roger Staubach or Troy Aikman"

"The Pittsburgh Steelers never won a Super Bowl without Terry Bradshaw or Ben Roethlisberger"

"The New York Giants never won a Super Bowl without Eli, Phil Simms or Jeff Hostetler's moustache"

Brady, Elway, Art Shell and a bunch of others etc

Difference is that you are choosing from 2 disparate eras in a team's history. The Niners went immediately from Montana to Young, and basically had Rice the entire time.

road doggy dogg 03-19-2015 02:31 PM

Still a ridiculous argument.

CSL 03-19-2015 02:34 PM

so dynasties don't count basically. It only counts/you only have history if you win the Super Bowl once a decade.

DaveWadding 03-20-2015 12:25 AM

I'm not denying that it's a ridiculous argument. I just don't think "my team won a lot 20 years ago" holds weight as a reason to act like your team is superior.

Nark Order 03-21-2015 01:53 AM

They were also one of the best teams in the league for the last 4 years (give or take a year) and went to a Superbowl.

Get off me, broh.

Ruien 03-21-2015 08:34 AM

Anything in the past is stupid to brag about IMO. Only time it should be allowed is bragging about last season during the offseason. Once the new season starts who gives a shirt. You either suck or don't. If you suck then go enjoy watching games from 1980 but no one else cares.

Nark Order 03-21-2015 10:38 AM

Allowed, you say. I'll be sure to check in with the word police the next time I want to talk about the 49ers.

Ruien 03-21-2015 12:55 PM

Thanks.

Besides Raiders and Chargers possibly sharing a stadium in LA if both move, Rams owner also working on having a stadium in LA to be shared by two teams. Unlike Raiders and Chargers, his plan doesn't require a 2nd team in case nobody is willing to move.

His plan competes with one by the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders, who want to share a stadium in Carson.

Kroenke hasn't said he plans to move the Rams, but analysts doubt he would invest in a stadium and not use it for his team.

The Browns are the favorites to be the Hard Knocks team this year.

Hardly surprising. They were always going to be on that show within a year or two of drafting Manziel.

Evil Vito 03-23-2015 03:46 PM

Darren Sharper pled no contest to rape allegations in Arizona and was sentenced to 9 years in prison. Louisiana sentenced him to 20 years. Still two more states to decide on his plea deal.

He can serve all of his sentences concurrently but he'll be locked up for at least 20 years. Good riddance.

Good news for you fans with teams who suffer TV blackouts, NFL is suspending the Blackout rule for the 2015 season.

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-23-2015 04:14 PM

Maybe if they lowered ticket prices more people would go.

Clerk 03-23-2015 05:41 PM

Browns have done great in free agency! Pick ups like Brian Hartline, Dwayne Bowe, and Tramon Williams make this an easy favorite for AFC NORTH. Losing Buster Skrine is not good though

Great step in the right direction. Still wonder how NFL Game Pass blackout stuff will work though. Probably still not worth getting yet.

NFL announced the compensatory picks for the 2015 draft, the Cardinals get to select this year's Mr. Irrelevant.

The NFL has never revealed the formula used to decide on comp picks but it relates to players lost in the previous year's free agency. The Pats got an extra 3rd round pick largely due to losing Aqib Talib.

Also funny is seeing the Bengals get a 3rd rounder mostly due to losing Michael Johnson, who they already got back. Nice job Bucs.

Instead of making a "football move," receivers must now "establish themselves as runners" to complete catches.

After review with this new wording, the Dez Bryant play is still not a catch.

Ruien 03-24-2015 03:03 PM

So, now, when someone catches the ball with 2 feet in bound but then gets hit out of bounds is it not a catch? Because they never established themselves to be runners?

He is established as a runner by having his feet set and the ability to run if he wanted to.

Because it wasn't a catch.

Simple Fan 03-24-2015 03:42 PM

Oh it was a catch alright.

Jags/Bills game in London only going to be streamed on a site to be named. Won't be on TV at all.

Ruien 03-24-2015 06:33 PM

That kind of sucks. I enjoyed the extra game. Gave a little excitement in the morning.

Ruien 03-24-2015 06:33 PM

Of course I will just stream it and put it on the television.

So will all diving catches result in a no catch now? Or is there a separate rule for diving catches. Say its a clear catch ,receiver dove to make the catch so he's on the ground, defensive player touches him. Incomplete pass. :|

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-24-2015 10:45 PM

Does the ball hit the ground?

screech 03-25-2015 12:17 AM

To his point, suppose it doesn't hit the ground. The receiver could not "establish himself as a runner" if he was diving to catch the ball.

SlickyTrickyDamon 03-25-2015 02:11 AM

The ability to dive and maintain control of the ball would be enough to establish himself as a "runner." You are all being to literal with the phrase runner.

screech 03-25-2015 08:41 AM

If referees can barely decide what a "football move" is, I don't think it's a stretch to say there will be issues figuring out who is a "runner."
