SOON TO BE THE "SETH ROLLINS CONFERENCE ROOM" ONCE THIS CONSPIRACY GETS BUSTED OPEN, AMIRITE!?

Interesting fact. John Cena granted his first 6 make a wishes in late 2003, after his debut in 2002 while he was A HEEL. Just saying.

Tazz Dan 04-08-2013 02:52 AM

I'm not doubting that kids want to meet John Cena, but don't by fucking cynical enough to think that just because Cena has given the most that he's the only wrestler who does, or who ever gets asked for.

Tazz Dan 04-08-2013 02:55 AM

I'm going to leave this now, as getting you to admit that you could ever be wrong about something, is like owenbrown being rational when replying to a Shisen Kopf post. It's just not possible.

That's precisely what I said. Amazing. lol

Like crying "YOU'RE WRONG BUT YOU'LL NEVER ADMIT IT SO WHATEVER!" when you make a ridiculous argument? Seriously. lol

Tazz Dan 04-08-2013 03:00 AM

I don't recall seeing that at all.

#1-norm-fan 04-08-2013 03:02 AM

Going the "you're wrong but you'll never admit it" route doesn't make your case valid.

It would be very facepalm-worthy if he did make a point to say in any public forum that he does something he doesn't want publicity for. Obscure podcast or not.

As someone who likes CM Punk I hope you dreamed or hallucinated this because I don't want to think of him as someone who would do something that lame.

Alright, got some stats right here.

John Cena was recently honored by Make-a-wish for being the only celebrity to grant 300 wishes.

No information on the number of wishes any members of The Shield have granted. Tough to find. Surely it's a cover-up.

#1-norm-fan 04-08-2013 03:08 AM

... None of those quotes say Cena is the only guy kids want to see.

I feel like getting you to admit your wrong though would be next to impossible.

Tazz Dan 04-08-2013 03:08 AM

My point was being, you are throwing this out like its absolute truth when really, you honestly have no idea, and nothing to back up what you're saying. And the fact that you make arguments like this a lot on here. You are obviously passionate with what you believe is cool, but sometimes it's like 'C'mon fan, you're better than this'.

I'm not disputing the Cena thing, I said that dipshit. My point is about the shield and your claims that kids would not want to meet them. Stop trying to sidestep what I'm saying.

This is what started everything. If dying kids wanted to see The Shield, they would. If dying kids wanted to see Drew McIntyre, they would. If dying kids wanted to see Camacho, they would. Insert any random name you want. If, if, if.

They don't. That's the point. Unless you think The Shield or Drew McIntyre or Camacho are granting wishes and whatnot left and right then what are you arguing? If you do think that, then we've got an issue of giving some evidence. I can show you the evidence for Cena. And on top of that, logically, I think we can say The Shield, D-Mac or Camacho don't spend much time visiting little kids and such. I mean... seriously.

#1-norm-fan 04-08-2013 03:21 AM

It's not their appeal. Clearly. There's reasons Cena is so valuable in that spot and the main one is that he's been the top babyface for years and kids are marks. At no point was I speaking in absolutes as in "No dying kid would ever want to see The Shield". Obviously there are exceptions. The gap between them and Cena though is ridiculous. And to go back to the discussion before that, yes Cena turning heel would put a huge dent in that.

The Condor 04-08-2013 11:28 AM

Otunga is the most hateable person in the WWE and he does BA* events, as does Mark Henry, because data wut he do. I don't know if its a face/heel thing but more of a a THE face thing.

Last night's Mania felt rushed. No backstage segments and no "America the Beautiful" at the start of the show.

Can we agree that Brock/HHH 1 was better than Brock/HHH 2

The flaw in your logic, though, is in your third sentence. Kids are marks. Cena is their #1 babyface. Hence, they want to see Cena. Turn Cena heel, someone else becomes #1 babyface, kids are still marks, they'll still want to see the #1 babyface. Only difference is, it will be someone else in the role.

No epic pyro to start the show off either.

Triple H is proof that you don't know what you have until they become part-time.

If kids lined up to see Lex Luger, they'll line up for anyone.

Some post-Mania dirstsheet news:

Quote:

Triple H had x-rays performed on his arm last night but there were no signs of injury beyond some muscle bruising. His arm and hand were swollen after the Brock Lesnar match.
Quote:

There were no fireworks to open the show last night due to the light skies and the feeling that the Hurricane Sandy video would be overpowered by pyro. They wanted the video to affect those watching and help quietly push their Sandy victim auctions.
Quote:

There were several WWE midcard talents who were upset that they didn't get to go out in front of the crowd or even have backstage segments, especially considering in past years when the company tried to get everyone on the card. There was also a lot of talk about how wrong it was that Antonio Cesero didn't have a spot considering how hard he has worked.

Quote:

The inter-gender tag match was cut before the PPV went on the air, as they decided to give the top three matches as much time as they wanted. Time was cut from the Jack Swagger vs Alberto Del Rio match and the company also cut Lilian Garcia singing "America the Beautiful".
This one surprised me the most when it happened. Didn't really feel like they were rushing for time until the Cena-Rock match started.

According to Wikipedia, there was only about 2 hours of actual wrestling last night and the big matches were only in the 20-25 minute range. The WWE managed to somehow mess up with an extra 2 hours of time even though there were no skits/promos and hype videos were mostly limited to Cena and Rock before the Taker-Punk match.

GD 04-08-2013 03:06 PM

It's high time that the World's Heavyweight title was retired or unified with the WWE Championship. There is absolutely no need for the belt to be treated like a secondary level title.

Schlomey 04-08-2013 03:12 PM

I'm feeling a renewed love of WWE after last night. Hoping last nights torch passing was the end of The Rock's triumphant return to WWE and a new beginning is afoot. Looking forward to tonight's Raw. Cena and all.
