To be honest, I always felt that Zack Ryder would be a "flavor of the month" type guy........like a modern day version of Rikishi if you will.

I think Ryder is a great mid-card guy but I don't see him successfully progressing beyond this level.

I think he should get another "broski" and be a permanent fixture for the Tag team division perhaps.

I'm looking forward to Zack being GM of Smackdown next week, but fuck I hope he tones back on his catchphrases. I'm pretty certain his promo the night after he won the US title is what caused his downward spiral.

Keep in mind I'm still his #1 Broski, I just know his mic skills are fairly limited.

Practice... having him on superstars isn't helping him. All wrestlers do a lot better when being interviewed by regular news shows because they can be themselves. If they can't really "act" then creative needs to give them a character that they can relate to.... Accent the positives, minimize the negatives.

But it's easier said than done.

He's fine on his show most of the time, but as soon as he's on TV he goes into character mode and gets too corny. Nobody can fix that but himself, and until he gets out of that I don't see him getting too much extra interview time. Next week could be a good test for him though :y:
