The Miz 07-04-2005 06:33 PM

He's catching up to Ichiro

The Outlaw 07-04-2005 07:26 PM

lol

Loose Cannon 07-04-2005 07:33 PM

Mariners really need a win tonight. Not that they're in contention or anything. Just so they can

win one for Booney :(

The Miz 07-04-2005 11:27 PM

What the hell is wrong with Keith Foulke

MVP 07-05-2005 12:06 AM

WTF, how many blown saves does he have after tonight?

The Miz 07-05-2005 12:09 AM

at least 6

Boomer 07-05-2005 12:26 AM

Dan Kolb is still up for sale.

Yankees are up 10-0 in the 4th.

Pretty ridiculous, the starter for the Orioles gave up 10 runs, 1 earned.

The Miz 07-05-2005 02:29 PM

lol yeah wtf, every pitch Lopez threw was a belt high 92 mph fastball. Meat

BCWWF 07-05-2005 03:16 PM

You can't hit the ball without swinging the bat. Meat.

RoXer 07-05-2005 03:19 PM

Kuip, when the cutters coming over the plate, the batter has no CHANCE at that pitch.

I heard that like 5 times in a row one game.

RoXer 07-06-2005 12:44 AM

Kotsay, Oakland's center fielder, made a spectacular play in the bottom of the 11th when he faked as if he was going to catch Gabe Gross' blooper before letting it drop. He then flipped the ball from his glove to his hand and forced out Russ Adams at second.

``That's one of the best plays I've ever seen,'' Macha said. ``What a play. And clutch. It could have been first and second and nobody out. That's why people who don't see this guy everyday don't appreciate what he does. That won the ball game.''

:D fivehunderedddddddddddddd

The Miz 07-06-2005 01:02 AM

God Macha is such a stupid dickhead it's unbelievable. Hatteberg bailed you guys out but Macha made 9829862 stupid decisions

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-06-2005 01:05 AM

Timlin was 1-2-3 in the Ninth tonight. Helped by a great catch from Damon.

Foulkes days as closer might be numbered..You know its going to be all over the talkshows tomorrow

BCWWF 07-06-2005 01:11 AM

Oh my god, you should have seen the strike zone while Shields and F-Rod pitched tonight. The beginning of the game was rediculously slow, but it was like a high school ump at a Babe Ruth game.

The Outlaw 07-06-2005 06:08 PM

Schilling to closer? :|

BCWWF 07-06-2005 06:30 PM

Saw that too, it just might work

WTF?

He didn't fake catching the ball, in fact he just missed catching it and because it was so close, Russ Adams was caught in no man's land. Jesus Christ, I watched that game. Someone is gay for Kotsay

Sox: Schilling to pitch out of bullpen

BOSTON (AP) - With their struggling closer on the disabled list and their ace at partial strength, the Boston Red Sox are sending Curt Schilling to the bullpen to plug a gap there and help him work his way back from an ankle injury.

"It's definitely the best thing for him," Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein said Wednesday, " ... and it just so happens to be exactly what the team needs right now."

rest of the story

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-06-2005 10:55 PM

I don't think Schilling with close. Timlin is actually a closer, I think they will just keep using him. He has like 119 career saves.

The Outlaw 07-06-2005 11:46 PM

I could see him doing it though. Be pretty crazy.

BCWWF 07-07-2005 01:54 AM

Yeah I agree with Outlaw, I could see him being a real good closer. They might as well try it, as it sounds like they are, and then if it works out you have Timlin and Foulke able to go earlier in the games. I'm interested to see how it turns out.

RoXer 07-07-2005 01:55 AM

Cards win on a suicide squeeze.

MVP 07-07-2005 11:39 AM

Schilling will be a great closer. At this point I don't think it's a serious blow to the starters if he goes to the bullpen.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-08-2005 01:29 AM

LOL Wow. crazy day. Jay Payton basically kicked off the team, Vaquez traded for Cora. Plus a few players benched for speaking out againest Schilling in the pen. Crazy Red Sox lineup for a 6 inning game.

Dragon 07-08-2005 01:32 AM

Only 3.5 back now.

Giambi with another homerun today too.

Dragon 07-08-2005 01:36 AM

Yankees only have three starters right now though, not sure who's going to fill in for Pavano. I really can't see Sturtze going again.

The Outlaw 07-08-2005 05:06 PM

Giambi is on a roll.

YOUR Hero 07-09-2005 01:40 PM

Halladay got hit last night on the shin. Dammit. That was a terrible game to watch as a Jays fan. Not only him getting hurt, but the terrible defence by the Jays (hurry back O Dog) and their inability to mount any offence past the second inning.

Jesus Shuttlesworth 07-09-2005 03:26 PM

Fucking great defense by the O's today. Ortiz got robbed of a 3 run homerun by Matos and like 4 other great plays by them today.

The Miz 07-09-2005 03:54 PM

A's sign OF Mark Kotsay to a 3-year extension.

Don't work Yankees, you got a guy who hit .267 in AA now

Dragon 07-09-2005 04:20 PM

Yeah, some great plays by the Orioles today. I saw two great ones by Matos, one robbing Ortiz and then one diving one, and then one by Roberts where he went behind second to make a play.

The Yankees have Darrell May pitching today, I heard he was doing pretty awful before coming to NY. I dunno, I guess we will see.

MoRcHeEbA 07-09-2005 04:20 PM

Halladay is out for a month with a fractured shin bone.

Loose Cannon 07-09-2005 05:10 PM

god dammit. 5-2 Indians. gonna need 10 runs here.

Dragon 07-09-2005 05:17 PM

Yeah, he's pitched almost 100 pitches already.

Loose Cannon 07-09-2005 07:00 PM

7-6 now. I hate not being able to watch the games :(

OssMan 07-09-2005 10:35 PM

ALRIGHT DANNY GRAVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOUR Hero 07-10-2005 01:37 PM

Huge 7 run ninth inning by the Jays last night

Too bad they needed 9 just to tie. :'(

(lost 12-10)
