Daniel Bryan is fucking incredible. Love that guy. His work on RAW got everyone super-pumped. He would be my pick to take the WWE Title off John Cena. Can you imagine how huge it would be if Cena tapped it away to the guy?

With RAW being Bret Hart Appreciation Night next week, you could have Daniel Bryan crash the Bret Hart party. The "American Dragon" cuts a promo about how everyone calls Bret Hart "The best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be," but everyone knows that Daniel Bryan truly holds that title. He was trained by Shawn Michaels, who was infinitely better than Bret Hart, and when he gets screwed out of titles he just wins more and doesn't whinge about it. Bryan can then add "and the most pathetic thing about you is that I can scream all this in your face and you can't do anything about it because you're broken!"

The heat for this in Calgary would be tremendous. Later on you have Bryan debut a new look. We're so used to seeing him in red gear, but he debuts new pink and black trunks with a broken heart logo (used in tribute to HBK and as a jab to Bret Hart), perhaps with "D" on one side and "B" on the other side, and instead of wings coming out, he has goat horns.

Earlier in the night, you have Daniel Bryan walk out on Kane during a WWE Tag Team Title match and have The Shield put Kane out with the Triple Powerbomb after the match. Bryan wrestles Justin Gabriel or something later after he kicks out the crutches of Gabriel's friend and injured tag team partner, Tyson Kidd in the Bret Hart segment. Bryan makes Gabriel tap pretty effortlessly and then does a big "YES!" celebration as people either join or or boo him relentlessly. Their choice.

Bryan vs. Kane is announced for Payback on SmackDown or Main Event or whenever. Bret Hart sits in the crowd to watch that match. Bryan counters a Chokeslam into a Guillotine Choke and Kane is forced to tap out to the former World Heavyweight Champion, who then goes to the ringside and spits in Bret Hart's face. Bryan would be so fucking over as a heel by this point.

So you want Daniel Bryan to turn heel in a non-televised (except in Canada) segment?

That's part of the attraction of the match -- John Cena, despite being a great worker and a guy who has done so much for the company over the years, is largely critically despised by the IWC and even many casual fans; while Daniel Bryan is essentially worshiped for his in-ring acumen.

They're not going to televise any of it at all?

It is going to be after RAW goes off the air. Where they would usually have their dark match main event.

Canadian channel will be showing it, though, since I think they are required by federal law since Bret Hart is involved.

Not really -- I don't really care and it'll be good for people in attendance and all. I just want to see Daniel Bryan go on a tear and become Unified Champion of the Universe.

And, no, I am not actually being serious. Although I wouldn't complain if it did happen.

I still can't believe how much I like Daniel Bryan these days. Seemed like the blandest guy in the world when he entered the WWE.

Bryan knew that being bland would work on the indies. Wrestling would set him apart there. Now that he's in the WWE he's had to evolve and he knows it. The dude "gets" the business. It's why he was a World Champion before he had even put two years in on the main roster and being the second-smallest champion in company history. That he actually has a personality helps -- he did really well on The JBL & Cole Show "Superstar Search," where he basically just acted like a goof, but it works for him.

The way he got the crowd pumped on RAW. Oh, man -- the guy can have people eating out of his hands when he needs to. Such a valuable worker for the WWE to have at the moment.

He needs to bring the Dazzler to Raw.

What a disgrace to the memory of Owen Hart to have him win the NXT title on the day Owen died.

Wonder if the WWE will edit it out or just keep it for the tv episode considering they once didn't bother to remove a US title match a few weeks ago even though Cesaro was no longer the actual champion.
