Really starting to dig Curtis Axel. He's getting more and more comfortable in his role. He seems kind of awkward at times, but I'm enjoying the Intercontinental *Heavyweight* Champion.

SlickyTrickyDamon 07-11-2013 12:06 AM

Marked out a bit when Heyman said Intercontinental Heavyweight Champion. Old school like when Randy Savage had it.

Wow great eye

I noticed the paper the very first time.

He is a sock, first post was today.

VSG 07-11-2013 10:10 AM

Still, to get >2.5K rep in a day must be a record.

I love Axel. Just don't let him speak.

Some recent dirtsheet stuff

With Dolph Ziggler going babyface and AJ and Big E remaining heels, the direction at this point is Dolph vs. Big E for SummerSlam.
The previous rumored plan was for Big E to turn face and just take over Henry's supposed face push that never occurred.

Quote:

The Wyatt Family will be in a six-man at SummerSlam. Based on the angle that was shot Monday, where they beat up Kane and apparently took him out of the Money in the Bank match, it'll likely be Kane and two partners taking them on. Whether one of those partners will be Undertaker will be made clear in the next few weeks. Originally it was going to be Kane & Undertaker vs. Shield. They shot the angle the night after WrestleMania when the Shield put Taker through the announcer's table. Unfortunately, Undertaker re-injured himself on that spot, so he may not want to return to action prior to next year's WrestleMania. We were told that he had made a decision and that the top four matches were set for the biggest PPV of the summer and not likely to change. Kane being put with the Wyatts suggest to me that Undertaker isn't working the show, since it only makes sense for his first match back to be revenge against Shield. Rollins and Reigns will work a tag match at SummerSlam and Ambrose will do a singles match for the US Title.

The Wyatt debut on Raw was said to be just what everyone wanted and management was very happy with how it went down.

The belief is that the crowd at the PPV Sunday in Philadelphia is going to treat RVD like they treat CM Punk in Chicago.

MoviePilot.com reports that actor Liev Schreiber has been tapped to play Chris Benoit in a movie about the tragic double murder-suicide. The movie is titled Crossface and is written by Sarah Coulter.

The movie will reportedly cover Benoit's life from the early days in his career through the final days of his life where he murdered his son and wife. Several WWE stars including Triple H and Vince McMahon will be portrayed.

Also several design and concept images of the WWE's new training center were revealed recently.

I remember watching the WrestleMania Rage Party as a kid and being confused as hell about there not being any wrestling. Anyone remember WWF Eve of Destruction?

James Steele 07-11-2013 07:42 PM

 @ Isaac Hayes playing "Chocolate Salty Balls" at a nationally televised wrestling party though.

Partial Source – Wrestling Observer

WWE officials are getting close to picking a location for the 2015 and 2016 WrestleMania events. One of the frontrunners is the new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, which opens for the San Francisco 49′ers in 2014, and is also hosting the 2016 Super Bowl. If Levi’s Stadium is picked, the Hall of Fame and RAW would take place from the HP Pavilion in San Jose.

There is also said to be a major Northeastern location in the running.

I contacted a source this morning who tipped us to first break the news of WrestleMania 29 being in New Jersey and he said that the Philadelphia Eagles Lincoln Financial Field is currently a top contender being considered. WWE is said to no longer be afraid of going into areas where there may be a colder climate during the event after their successful event at MetLife Stadium this year. Given Philadelphia’s history with the WWE, it all makes sense.

There is also one other Northeast city being considered for the event. It’s assumed that those locations are either Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field, Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium, or Washington DC’s FedEx Field.

James Steele 07-11-2013 08:12 PM

FedEx Field would be neat since Vince got his start in Washington DC with the Capitol Wrestling Corporation which had some amazing tag teams like The Amazing Kangaroos, The Shiek & Zebra Kid, and The Bastien Brothers.
