He can cash in anytime he wants and it just so happens that Cena is involved in another match at the time. Cena would officially just be in two totally separate matches. Then as soon as Orton touched Cena, Daniel Bryan would lose his match by DQ and it would just be Orton vs Cena.

That's a real mind fucker.

Well, fuck.

I guess Christian is now my second favorite wrestler.

Lock Jaw 07-20-2013 07:53 PM

Dunno if it is just the angle, but Khali's legs look ridiculously small. No wonder he has problems moving.

#1-norm-fan 07-20-2013 07:54 PM

Seriously, can we just put WWE in a time machine and fast forward to the point where Johnny Curtis is the face of the company?

I miss Johnny Curtis. Not convinced that Fandango can ever be anything above IC/US level.

Johnny Curtis (w/ Maxine) could have been huge if they could have just taken their act off of NXT.

#1-norm-fan 07-20-2013 08:07 PM

Yeah, Fandango is probably never gonna be a main event level act. I'm looking long term though. The Ringmaster wasn't a main event level act either but it got Austin involved in the thick of things at least.

Lock Jaw 07-20-2013 08:42 PM

Yeah, but Fandango is likely not to turn into Johnny Curtis again.... due to there already being a "Curtis" name on the roster.

Could become Johnny Dango.

#1-norm-fan 07-20-2013 08:47 PM

Goddammit, another reason to hate Curtis Axel.

Cool King 07-20-2013 08:54 PM

Not necessarily.

At one point, we had Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Chris Masters, Chris Nowinski and Christian on the roster at the same time.

A guy with Curtis has his first name and another with Curtis with his surname won't really confuse anyone.

Cash-ins are not no-DQ.

Loved the Fandango vs. Christian match on Main Event this week. I do think there is potential for the Fandango character to evolve into something. I'd like it if a commentator suggested that Fandango isn't really a dancer and just uses it to throw his opponents off. Make him out to be a mastermind deceiver.

Cool King 07-20-2013 09:29 PM

Knowing WWE, if they want to get away from the Fandango character, they'll probably just have him in an angle where he breaks his legs during a match and is out of action for a long time and when he returns, he can't dance anymore and just says "screw learning to dance all over again" and he loses the dance gimmick and the "Fandango" name because it was his dance name and he becomes "Johnny Curtis" again.

Mr. Nerfect 07-20-2013 09:50 PM

Still really want to see a Fandango vs. Wade Barrett feud. It doesn't even need the Intercontinental Title involved. Barrett and Fandango have a match where Barrett lines up the Bullhammer (admittedly foolishly) against Fandango's head which is resting on the ring post. Fandango dodges (perhaps Summer Rae can pull him out of the way) and Fandango crashes his arm into the ring post. Fandango goes on the attack and forces Barrett to submit to a standard armbar. Barrett is examined by doctors after the match.

The following weeks have Fandango mocking Barrett for forcing him to submit to the first move he learned in wrestling school. They eventually announce that Barrett will be ready to compete at the next PPV, and the two have a contract signing. Barrett says that at such event, he's going to knock Fandango's teeth down his throat. Fandango says that he heard that from Barrett before, and what happened? It was Barrett who got hurt.

To prolong the feud, you could have Fandango win the match via roll-up after Summer Rae gets involved on the apron or something. Another loss would bury itself into Barrett's psyche pretty deep.

Mr. Nerfect 07-20-2013 09:51 PM

I hope TNA drop the Aces & Eights storyline now that Bully Ray is no longer champion and DOC is gone. DOC was probably the only guy in the group besides Ray and Anderson that I found even remotely interesting.

Evil Vito 07-20-2013 10:00 PM

When Anderson first joined Aces & Eights I thought it was going to turn out that he was just a mole Hogan put into the group, kinda like Angle joining the Alliance. I guess that could still happen but it's been almost 8 months now, he'd seem to be almost "in too deep" at this point for it to not seem ridiculous.

Mr. Nerfect 07-20-2013 10:07 PM

I like the idea of Anderson turning on the group for his own agenda or something. He's too "big" to just be a support player in there.

Mr. Nerfect 07-20-2013 10:34 PM

Not sure if the rumors of Randy Orton being hurt are true or not, but if they are, The Wyatt Family should take out Orton and claim his briefcase as a trophy.

In fact, it'd make more sense for Orton to interfere whilst the Cena/Bryan match was on-going causing the DQ before cashing in.

Didn't want to dedicate a whole thread to it, but will any of you take a guess to the percentage of Lesnar appearing tomorrow night on RAW?

I'm mostly a fan of his theme song and would ensure beforehand that I use the restroom before the thunderous cadence washed over me.

Shisen Kopf 07-21-2013 02:39 PM

I'd say 50/50. Don't forget to use silver glitter on your Shisen Kopf sign so it shows up better on TV!

Some stuff from the dirtsheets:

Plans for NXT star Kassius Ohno, f.k.a. Chris Hero, to join the main roster have apparently been put on hold.

According to a source, the creative team had a storyline to introduce Ohno this summer. People within the company were impressed with his in-ring skills and his promos, and had asked him to improve his physique while creative worked on his introduction. According to trainers at NXT, Ohno seemed reluctant in the weightlifting and gym sessions, although he continued to receive high marks for his overall attitude and the great effort in his daily in-ring sessions.

Word got back to Triple H about Ohno dodging gym time, and he was removed from TV tapings. Ohno has missed two tapings in the past few weeks, and there is said to be increased concern about his status with the company. A lot of people are still high on him, but this could prove to be costly for one of the top prospects in WWE's developmental system.

The TNA live event in Cape Girardeau, Missouri started last night with a TNA agent coming out and announcing that Chris Sabin, Garett Bischoff, Jay Bradley, Wes Brisco, Gail Kim and Miss Tessmacher would not be allowed to compete by the Missouri Athletic Commission because they did not have licenses to wrestle.

Around 500 fans were in attendance for the 90 minute show. The card featured just 5 matches and 3 of those 5 featured the same four wrestlers. Quick results look like this:

* Bully Ray beat James Storm
* Devon beat Gunner
* Samoa Joe beat Bobby Roode
* Gunner and James Storm beat Ray and Devon
* Jeff Hardy beat Kurt Angle

TNA officials tried to make up for the problems by inviting all fans backstage after the show to meet wrestlers for free. However, Jeff Hardy charged $20 for a photo and fans could not get his autograph. This led to some of the people that paid $65 for VIP tickets to be upset that fans were getting what they paid for free.
