There are a few things that are so wonky with this situation.

-Numerous past/present players have come forth and have said that they like their footballs a certain way. Some are downright religious about it.
-the event in question had no outcome on the game.
-It has been speculated whether or not having a deflated ball is even a competitive advantage at all. Aaron Rodger admitted to liking his just about as full as they can be pumped.
-it has been proven that air pressure can be sapped from footballs just from the cold climate alone
-His punishment was increased because of SpyGate. They are acting like he was personally filming them with a go pro on his helmet.

It just sucks. His legacy is going to be tarnished for something that absolutely does not matter at all. Are you alright with that? Because I'm not.

The NFL has had a bad rep the last couple of years but I think they got this one right. They couldnt let Brady off after screwing with the integrity of the game, so the made an example out off him.

I'm sure every shithead player will be glad to know that as long as they don't kick the living shit out of their wives while they are on the field, then everything is fine

Shut the fuck up, NerF. I see you.

poopfromweiner dude 05-11-2015 07:03 PM

oh my god Tom Brady is such a buttlicker this is the greatest day of my life

I think anybody who seriously looks at Deflategate as a blemish to Brady's legacy is a bit moronic, tbh. I'd be willing to bet other teams do the same thing to cater to what their QB prefers. The Pats just happened to be the ones to get caught.

Brady takes the fall. He'll come back with a vengeance in week 5 and the Pats will win the division just like they always do anyways.

He'll still go down as one of, if not the most prolific QBs of all time and will be a first ballot HOFer. He'll be fine.

Nark Order 05-11-2015 07:10 PM

Hopefully.

I suppose the only good thing to come out of this is that we get to see Jimmy Garapolo sling it. If they can get at least 2 wins out of Garapolo, they are in good shape.

Evil Vito 05-11-2015 07:13 PM

2 wins without Brady is doable. Teams are extra amped up for that Thursday night home game after the Super Bowl and the Steelers are usually slow starters. Also the Jags should be an easy win even if Bill Belichick were playing QB.

Evil Vito 05-11-2015 07:14 PM

I do love the amount of "done with the NFL" outrage posts on Facebook, though. Kept watching after the atrociously handled Ray Rice incident but fucking DEFLATEGATE is what makes you quit?

Goodell says see you in September.

Who makes an example of the NFL when THEY screw the integrity of the game?

Steve Irsay is a bigger blemish to the NFL with his DUI Arrests. Pats when they face indy it'll be like 70-0 Pats.

Fuck you.

Nark Order 05-11-2015 07:24 PM

And if I was Tom Brady, I would have cut off my own dick before surrending my phone and personal information to the NFL. They are a circus.

Ugh. Such a circus.

Whoa whoa whoa, you need to change The Colts to The Ravens. They were the ones crying foul. Someone from the Colts just handed the ball to the official during the game.

On a side note, fuck the Colts for needing to be paid to support the fucking troops. So upset at them right now.

Droford 05-11-2015 09:26 PM

I could see the Patriots starting 1-3

McLegend 05-11-2015 09:57 PM

Anyone else find it funny that Brady's first game back is against the Colts?

road doggy dogg 05-11-2015 10:52 PM

I hope the pats go 19-0 this season...or like 18-1 if they play the lions w/e

owenbrown 05-11-2015 11:24 PM

what's the closest the Lions been to a Super Bowl? Exactly.

Shisen Kopf 05-12-2015 07:02 AM

That's a very racist statement owenbrown. Why not just call all the people in Detroit the nasty N word while you're at it. So hurtful :(

How's McNair these days?

Evil Vito 05-12-2015 08:36 AM

lolllllll @ putting "Eligate" on there. Not sure how it's considered cheating to trade for a guy who was being a bit of a baby about where he would be willing to play, especially seeing as they had to trade a small fortune for him. Frankly up until the first Super Bowl run that was looking like one of the worst trades in NFL history for the Giants. Merriman was incredible for a while.

Evil Vito 05-12-2015 08:39 AM

the guy who wrote about "Inflategate" for the Packers is clearly a bitter Pats fan

road doggy dogg 05-12-2015 08:43 AM

I'm so glad it's May and the NFL has found something to make people remember football exists for the next couple months. Can't believe this non-story has dragged on this long

Evil Vito 05-12-2015 08:44 AM

actually the words "more probable than not" are bolded in like 90% of these cases. definitely a Pats fan.

Too bad Tebow already signed with the Eagles. If the Pats were to have signed him a day after the Brady suspension I'm pretty sure ESPN would implode upon itself.

road doggy dogg 05-12-2015 08:48 AM

Well, they do still have the LBJ buzzer-beater to fall back on, bless their hearts.

screech 05-12-2015 09:05 AM

Have they asked Lebron how he feels about this mess? That could take up a few days.

poopfromweiner dude 05-12-2015 11:49 AM

You guys what if LeBron played tight end?

McLegend 05-12-2015 12:38 PM

Also I wouldn't give my phone to te NFL if I was Brady either. Even if I didn't do anything.

The way everything leaks out I would be worried about personal stuff leaking out. Not just pictures, but also phone numbers of friends who would probably be famous. I wouldn't trust the NFL at all with any of it.

So the NFL goes after the patriots for deflated footballs when the SEAHAWKS have had the most players popped for PEDs than any team since Pete Carrol has been their coach.

Emperor Smeat 05-12-2015 01:35 PM

Not sure which one seems more ridiculous, that or the petition to hold off on banner ceremonies until Brady comes back from his suspension.

Or even Forbes teasing at the possibility of a class action lawsuit being filed against the NFL or Pats. Last time it was Jets fans who tried to sue the Pats.

They were popped for it... What's the problem?

How creatively bankrupt are we as a nation that -gate is the only SCANDAL name we can think of

#1-norm-fan 05-12-2015 04:54 PM

Outside this guy's clear disdain for Patriots fans (he also clearly isn't a big Goodell fan either), this sums up my thoughts pretty well. Pretty sure the hatred of Goodell has lead people to not think of this whole thing logically.

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2015/05/roge...ner-four-games

"Nothing was going to be good enough. Had Goodell gone too easy on Brady, it’d be a sign there’s a star system. Had he gone too harsh, which he evidently did according to some, he’s suspending Brady for his lies or the cover-up or his lack of participation in the investigation, not because he cheated. Nonsense. Brady didn’t fully participate in the investigation because he’s almost certainly guilty. And he lied because, well, that’s what people do when they get caught doing something they shouldn’t. How anyone can have sympathy for Brady when he knowingly tampered with the integrity of one of the three biggest football games of the years shows how toxic Goodell has become. To many, he’s not even allowed to punish the cheaters properly."

Nark Order 05-12-2015 05:38 PM

Honestly. This whole situation just makes me really angry. It is ludicrous.

There's also a facebook group giving Goodell's address and telling to mail pennies.
