Evil Vito 01-02-2012 12:01 AM

We don't need your negative energy going into the tournament, dude.

The Jets should go after Flynn.

Giants might be scary in the postseason.

Evil Vito 01-02-2012 12:23 AM

New York Nicks

To be fair, it seems like every time I'm on the brink of a heart attack they turn it around and do something good. It works.

Evil Vito 01-02-2012 12:28 AM

Everything after this is gravy. Playoffs

Innovator 01-02-2012 12:28 AM

TUUUUUUUUUUUUCK

Innovator 01-02-2012 12:32 AM

Bring it Falcons.

#1-norm-fan 01-02-2012 12:32 AM

I blame the incentive of theme music for the Giants only.

Emperor Smeat 01-02-2012 12:36 AM

 Cowboys

Traditional late season collapse once again occurs. Threw away too many games in December when they were in no position to do so (ex. Ari, Philly).

Gonzo 01-02-2012 12:37 AM

This should be cool. I'll get to go to my first playoff game this weekend.

Droford 01-02-2012 12:43 AM

Coughlin should be "Thanks for saving my job!"

FearedSanctity 01-02-2012 12:50 AM

No Mendenhall and probably no Clark? HAHA, WE GOT THIS

:(

Nark Order 01-02-2012 12:51 AM

I'm still thinking probably not. :(

They didn't need to beat Philly and thus were in a fine position to throw that game away.

Stop with thiiiiis.

Droford 01-02-2012 01:07 AM

Broncos winning would be a free pass to the Patriots getting to the AFC championship one way or the other (If they play Baltimore than that means the Bengals won).

Supreme Olajuwon 01-02-2012 01:32 AM

don't worry man the Ravens will win by 52

Droford 01-02-2012 01:43 AM

9. What can we tell from how these teams did against other playoffs teams: A lot. The Bengals went 0-7 against teams that made the playoffs. The Broncos beat Cincinnati 24-22 in Week 2, but they lost by an average of 27 points to the Packers and Patriots, the only other playoff teams they faced. The Texans went 3-2 against playoff teams, the Steelers 3-4 and the Ravens 6-0. The Patriots went 1-2 against playoff teams.

Nark Order 01-02-2012 01:44 AM

Anybody but the Ravens, for the win.

Now if only it didn't take just one loss to make all that irrelevant

Nark Order 01-02-2012 01:46 AM

Droford, what about teams that everybody else used as fucking doormats that the Ravens lost to? Your stats are kind of silly.

Evil Vito 01-02-2012 01:47 AM

My order of preference for the playoffs:

1. Giants

2-11. Other teams

12. Patriots

Pats are really the only team that I hate in the whole thing. Outside of them I will just pull for upsets across the board as per usual.

Droford 01-02-2012 01:49 AM

The Steelers and Broncos have played 6 times before in the playoffs splitting the 6 games, the upcoming game will put them 1 matchup behind the Rams and Cowboys.

If the Giants play the 49ers, they will have met a record tying 8 times as well.

Nark Order 01-02-2012 01:49 AM

Yeah, I'm still a little sour at the Pats for the whole cheating fiasco.

Evil Vito 01-02-2012 01:53 AM

I just dislike the Pats in general. Belichick being easy to hate only adds to it. They have some likable players but for the most part fuck 'em. Also have some Pats fan friends and according to them, every Pats loss is the fault of the refs. Always excuses.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-02-2012 01:58 AM

Rooting order for the playoffs:

1. Bengals
2. Lions
3. 49ers
4. Broncos
5. Texans
6. Packers
7. Saints
8. Giants
9. Falcons
10. Patriots
11. Steelers
12. Ravens

6-9 could really go any way really

Titans finished 9-7
Chargers finished 8-8
Seahawks finished 7-9
Jaguars finished 5-11

Like I said, the Jaguars game was the only real embarassing loss looking back now...well the SD game was a horrible performance but on the Road vs a team that was like 20-1 in December over the last 5 years..

Packers lost to 7-9 KC
Saints lost to the Rams (who the Ravens beat in St Louis 37-7) and Tampa Bay (finished 4-12, the last game TB would win this year)
49ers lost to 8-8 Dallas and 8-8 Arizona
Patriots lost to the Bills (finished 6-10, won 3 games after the week 3 win)

I want to argue that the Saints had 2 way more embarassing losses (2-14 rams, 4-12 Bucs)..yet no one gives them any grief over them like they do the Ravens..
