This is the guy who I was talking about, and Kenny mentioned as well. He did this dunk back in 2007. |
And yes, I know the reaction of the players is very annoying.

I miss the dunk contest being good :(
"STEVE NASH IS THE MVP! STEVE NASH FOR MVP! STEVE NASH FOR MVP!!!"
Possibly the greatest dunk ever that's been forgotten.
Truth be told, Nash should have won that dunk contest without even having dunked.
I like how the announcers are saying the "Dunk Contest is back" when a few years later they go back to saying it needs help and how before 2005 they said it was getting stale/boring.
Kind of disappointed with Shannon Brown's effort in the dunk contest.
Nate
But yeah overall the dunks were pretty weak. Contest isn't going away though. Nate should be back again next year to try and make it 3 in a row and 4 overall...but besides him I think they should try and get more "sexy" names in there. I dunno, I don't follow NBA much so I had no idea about any of the other guys in there except Nate. |
Shannon could have done much more. Dude has ups and can palm the ball easily...i was looking for a 'rock the cradle' or something similar to show the control of the ball. I dunno what he was thinking. Weak contest.
The Mavericks have reached a tentative agreement to send Howard, Drew Gooden and two other players to Washington for swingman Caron Butler, center Brendan Haywood and guard DeShawn Stevenson, numerous NBA sources said Friday.
the best part of the dunk contest was definitely the announcers mocking everyone's dunks
watching the celeb repeat on ESPN2 and Mark Cuban keeps on getting beat by some woman..Still dont know who it is
Nancy Lieberman |
The birthday cake is still the best dunk in like the last 10 years

Amare might be heading to the Cavs.
and dam wish Curry would of pulled it off last night. love him. should be a Knick  Nate's got incredible ups though. |
Shannon destroyed my hopes.
This is pretty ridiculous..
Hate how goddamn long it takes for this all star game to actually start.
Holy shiit they're gonna start? OH NO, MORE TALKING!
I shudder to think how insane Super Bowl XLV will be.
I'm wondering whether the all star game actually exists?
Its not supposed to start to 8:35..Id say they're behind schedule but anyway..
I'm in the UK so had no idea of the start time, first all star game i've been able to see, or i hope, anyway.
Introductions and nigger music.
Gotta have national anthems to! Man why do we never do that at football games? I can not think why!
Why do players want to play in this in the middle of the season?
Big game, but seems abit weird to me, playing with your rivals during the season.
GO WEST! FUCK THE EAST!
Whose favourite?
Lots of people were saying the east with the west being without Kobe.
Seems abit dull of an atmosphere to me, so quiet and slow despite high scoring. Like a friendly match in football.
It's basically an exhibition game.
put Deron williams in the Dunk contest next year!
oohhh shakira!
clearly isnt singing but fuck it.
or maybe she is.:)
Old Spice Old Spice Old Spice..
Anyone hate alicia keys like i do? Saw she was singing earlier in this, same old crap with her, over dramatic rubbish.
lol this is just a glorified Globetrotters game

without the ladder.
With 1:46 left in the 4th its a 2 point game East is up.
It feels like the East should be up like 15 though. Weird |
lol Dirk's face when Williams fouled Wade.
EAST WINS HOME ADVANTAGE IN THE.....
Wait, wrong sport |
Surprised Dirk didn't take the last shot regardless if it went in or not.
Did Kobe just win player of the decade award?
I thought that was a pretty decent game for once.
Even though it's retarded to have any all star game decide home field/court advantage in the finals it should definitely be basketball instead of baseball, because the NBA allstar game is always such a fucking joke. Nobody plays defense, all they do is try to set up some ridiculous dunk or have Shaq shoot 3 pointer. It's not like there is much fooling around to do in baseball, they play it like a normal game.
I don't get why that makes it a joke. It's not serious competition but it's still entertaining to see what some of these guys can do when they are out in the open.
West did an awful job with 5 seconds left, let's just throw it to 'Melo and make him force up an ugly contested 3 point shot. I know it's the All Star game but why not actually draw up a play? The East did a couple times at the end coming off of time-outs. |

fan voting is fucking retarded people who know nothing voting who they like best |
Kobe has been in his prime for the whole decade

Wow 90,000 fans for an exhibition game.

Uh. If it's not Kobe, who is it? Shaq?

I woulda said Kobe, then Dale Davis |

Kobe played in 5 out of the 10 NBA Finals series during the decade and while Shaq dominated during the first 3 it's not Kobe was just out acting like a role player. I don't think Kobe is the hands down choice but I really can't think of a better one off the top of my head. |
I agree with Stima

Even George Karl's 5 year old daughter knows whats up
Camby to the Blazers for Outlaw and Blake?
I love Camby and hate Blake. This makes me very happy! |
lol @ Camby being pissed for going to Portland. You idiot, you're going to a playoff-caliber team.
Also, Kobe out again tonight. This might be more serious than Laker trainers thought. |
Shannon lit it up tonight.

and lebron james was #2 behind kobe? retarded hes done nothing in this league 1.Shaq 2.Duncan 3.Kobe 4.Iverson 5.Garnett thats the way it should have been although if people want to put duncan 1 and shaq 2 i have no problem with it |
No. Kobe is the best, fag.
This trade deadline shit is awesome, I can't wait to see what goes down. Please God, no Amare in Cleveland. |
Quote:
I would definitely put Shaq as the player of the decade if he didn't drop off a bit towards the end. He was unreal in the early 2000's, on those Lakers teams he was the man no doubt about it, and Kobe was Pippen. Shaq also has the best line of the decade, "Kobe, tell me how my ass taste?" I'm not a Kobe fan at all, I actually think he's a clown for all the bullshit PR stuff he does now (like using his daughters for props or showcasing his wife that he cheated on) to make up for the fact that he banged a snow bunny in Denver and she bugged out. He's been pretty unreal on the court though for the last decade. Been hearing that Nate Robinson might be coming to the Celtics. Would hate to lose Eddie House but after watching him get abused by Darren Collison the game before the All-Star break I can see why this trade could happen. I'm assuming Robinson's D is much better? I haven't really seen him play very much to be honest. |
Quote:
I bet if the Lakers were 0-6 in the games he was out he would be back, but they've been playing pretty well so there's no point to rush back. |
Really hope he plays against Boston. It's a race to get home court throughout the playoffs basically, dunno if the Lakers can beat Boston without Mamba.
k. nvm, he said he's sitting out. fuck.

Was reading that the Knicks might have gotten a first round pick with House if that deals go through.
Pretty good if they can do that for Nate, who they were gonna lose at the end of the year anyway. Especially with that McGrady trade being rumored and draft picks probably going to Houston if that deal happens. |
I want for SammyG to die, that is all.
3 team deal between Cavs, Wiz and a Western Conference team: Jamison, Ilgauskas, and Gooden all involved. No details yet.
Cavs get:
Antawn Jamison Bassy Telfair Wizards get: Zydrunas Ilgauskas Al Thornton Brian Skinner Cavs 1st rounder Clips get: Drew Gooden |
Good pick up for the Cavs. Being a Carolina boy I'm a huge Jamison fan.
oo, Antawn Jamison? I'm sure the Lakers are terrified.
Antawn Jamison is probably a better fit though.
I think Amare would have been the wrong move for basketball purposes. |
Quote:
That's interesting he doesn't play any D though, there's gotta be a reason why they are looking to get him. Maybe they think he will be better at running the point or something, seeing how Eddie House can do really well is catch & shoot. I would rather have Jamison than Amare. I know Amare is an All-Star pretty much year in and year out but I just don't know how good he would be not playing in the Suns system. I think Jamison is a better fit for the Cavs. |
Apparently it might not be a pick and is House and Giddens instead. Not really sure what the point of the trade is for the Knicks if this is the case.
Quote:
Yeah, Ant is pretty close to a 20 and 10 player on a team where for a really long time he was the ONLY offensive player. He'll fit well with that system.
Hmmmmmm not sure how I feel about Jamison and LeBron together.
Doesn't seem like it's gonna fit that well. Better fit than Amare, but still seems like an odd choice for the team. He's a damn good player though, don't get me wrong. |
Blatche went for 33/13 tonight vs the Timberwolves..don't know why they'd want Big Z.
Im reading several things that say the Wiz will buy out Big Z and he'll end up back with Cleveland. That makes ZERO sense. |
Hope the Cavs lose tomorrow.
don't you hope the Cavs lose every game they play?
Jim Obrien is the worst coach i've ever seen out of any sport ever. I'd rather have Magic Johnson coaching the Pacers.
Quote:
Maybe he has an expiring contract or something? I thought it was suppose to be House, Giddens AND the pick for Robinson. I've at least heard that once. Getting sick of the speculation though, just make the trade already lol |
Yeah, I think both House and Giddens are expiring contracts, although I think I heard one has a team option or something. If there's no pick it just seems like swapping expiring contracts which doesn't make a ton of sense for the Knicks since Nate's gone anyway. Either way this deal isn't really anything for the Knicks. Nate was fun to watch at times but he obviously wasn't gonna be here long term.
I just want the Knicks to deal Jeffries so they have the cap space for 2 max contracts next year. Nate doesn't really affect that unless he brings back a draft pick/bargaining chip. |
The Sacramento Kings have reached an agreement in principle with the Houston Rockets on a trade that will swap Kevin Martin for Tracy McGrady, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Along with Martin, the Kings will send Sergio Rodriguez, Hilton Armstrong and Kenny Thomas to the Rockets. Joey Dorsey and Carl Landry will go to the Kings. |
If I was Ainge, I'd be saving on the draft picks for bench building since last year's draft the Celtics only had 1 pick and ended up getting rid of the player a few months later and the other pick was given away from the 2007 KG deal.
The Cavs really benefited a lot from their trade since ESPN is saying they will get back Ilgauskas after 30-days since he was used more for making the salaries equal. |
NBCsports:
Nate Robinson did not play Wednesday against the Bulls due to flu-like symptoms, and if the reported trade sending him to the Celtics happens as expected, he could be in uniform for Thursday's game against the Lakers. He flew to L.A., and barring a huge surprise he'll be a Celtic come Thursday. Anything can happen between now and the trade deadline, but as the C's are constituted now, Nate-Rob projects to be a gunner off the bench -- and a poor man's Jamal Crawford sounds like a reasonable outlook. |
Heard Nate Robinson gets a 1million dollar bonus for being on a playoff team. No wonder why he waived his no-trade clause to go to the C's (and not try to force a trade to a team where he could get more PT)
Is the Nate trade official or what? Deadline is in an hour...
Also omg @ the possibility of T-mac and Lebron being on the same team next year... |
T-Mac and LeBron wont be on the same team next year, that would be a waste of a starting spot on the roster, besides New York wont keep him, they want his expiring contract. And Lebron is staying in Cleveland.
I think Bron is gone.
Why? He has a team thats ready to win now built around him, where is he going to go that can afford him and then win? New York? I don't see New York even with LeBron contending anytime soon.
I think Wade, Bosh and James all stay. Wade is the most likely to leave. |
