With George Edwards at the helm the last two years, the bills have put up their 2nd and 3rd worst season totals in Yards and Points in Franchise history.

I love it. They get rid of Fewell and his 4-3 cover 2 to change to Edwards shitty 3-4 and now they will end up with Wannstedts shitty 4-3.

Brian Schottenheimer gets a stay of execution in New York.

WFAN should be fun to listen to all day long tomorrow.

Emperor Smeat 01-02-2012 09:00 PM

LOL WUT

So does this mean Sanchez is gone now considering the options was to get rid of Schotty and rebuild the offensive style or Sanchez and build around a new QB for the future?

Him and Martz on the Bears had ok systems but don't work for either team (less ground pound for the Jets, less QB protection for the bears).

Skippord 01-02-2012 09:39 PM

They're firing Schottenheimer if he doesn't get a head coaching job somewhere else, they don't want to hurt his chances by firing him now.

Good bye Polians. It's time for a philosophy change.

Rock Bottom 01-03-2012 08:40 AM

why everyone think green bay uis dead

Blakeamus 01-03-2012 11:58 AM

I don't think that they are dead, but I have this feeling that a repeat doesn't happen. I think in the NFC, the Saint's are on fire ever since that lost to the Rams. And I feel that if the two would have a rematch in the NFC Championship game, Saint's will overcome in Lambeau Field. Either way, it would be one hell of a game.

Kris P Lettus 01-03-2012 12:41 PM

I like the cut of you jib, blakeamus..

#1-norm-fan 01-03-2012 01:19 PM

I don't think the Saints can keep up in the elements at Lambeau. They play very average outdoors anyway.

Norv Turner and AJ Smith will RETURN to the Chargers next year. Wow.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-03-2012 03:47 PM

Nice. That means Norv has officially been head coach there longer than Schottenheimer.

CSL 01-03-2012 03:53 PM

they'd have given him the boot had he gone 14-2

Mike Martz resigns as offensive coordinator for the Bears to go along with the GM and QB coach getting fired. Lovie Smith staying as the head coach for at least another year.

DaveBrawl 01-03-2012 04:03 PM

I actually think Norv has done a good job there the last couple of years with what he's had, so many injuries and good players shown the door have hampered the Chargers more than anything else. Smith on the other hand I'm glad they kept since he seems intent on sabotaging them purely to satisfy his ego.

WTF

The Saints only lost two games outdoors this year, one of them by 8 points at Lambeau..

If hanging 34 on the defending super bowl champs in their house is average, i'll take it..

I never understood why people act like an indoor team can not play outside.. its not like they don't play outside.. Brees went to Purdue, PT went to Illinois, Jenkins went to Ohio State..

Emperor Smeat 01-03-2012 04:32 PM

Jerry Jones won't step down as the Cowboys GM nor does he have any intentions of hiring one like Bill Polian.

Giant's Justin Tuck calls the Falcons O-Line a bunch of "dirtbags" with at least 2 other teams also complaining about their "cheap" tactics.

Steelers won't have S Ryan Clark against the Broncos due to illness and the team doesn't want to risk his health. Ryan Mundy (2 career starts) will take his spot for the game.

Andy Reid will return as the Eagles coach next season.

Nark Order 01-03-2012 05:09 PM

I say Saints and Pittsburgh in the Bowl with Saints getting the win.

Nark Order 01-03-2012 05:11 PM

Although, I will say that I think the 49ers can beat NO, and if that happens, things will be a whole lot different.

They only lost 3 total...

I didn't say they were awful but they become average outdoors. They are not the same team.

They beat a bad Jacksonville team 23-10, they beat Carolina by 3, they lost to TAMPA BAY, and they barely eeked by Tennessee 22-17 in a game where I don't think they even score a TD til the 4th quarter.

If you wanna go back to last season, yes they had a couple impressive outdoor wins early in the season... they also struggled some and ended up losing to a 7-9 team in the playoffs in a game where they were playing catch up the whole time.

Yes, they become average outdoors and in the elements, it only makes it worse.

I'm not saying any indoor team can't play outside, I'm saying the Saints specifically are not as good outside. However your theory is flawed since a) Thats only player by player examples, doesn't say anything about the TEAM, b) College... can't really draw comparisons and c) to be fair, Brees wasn't that good in the NFL when he played for the Chargers... an outdoor team

Nark Order 01-03-2012 05:27 PM

Yeah, you know how ridiculously frigid it can get in San Diego, California.

DaveBrawl 01-03-2012 05:31 PM

Yeah we all know how fair weather it is there.

Evil Vito 01-03-2012 05:39 PM

Oh and if I had to make some unbiased, gun-to-my-head predictions:

Cincinnati @ Houston
Pittsburgh @ Denver
Detroit @ New Orleans
Atlanta @ New York

Divisonal

Cincinnati @ New England
Pittsburgh @ Baltimore
New York @ Green Bay
New Orleans @ San Francisco

Championships

New Orleans @ Green Bay
Pittsburgh @ New England

Superbowl

Green Bay @ New England

Supreme Olajuwon 01-03-2012 05:40 PM

Alright let's actually looks at how the Brees led Saints have done in cold weather games:

2006: 1-2 (lost @ Steelers and @ Bears in playoffs, won @ Giants)
2007: 0-1 (lost @ Bears)
2008: 1-1 (lost @ Bears, won @ Chiefs)
2009: 1-0 (won @ Redskins)
2010: 1-2 (lost @ Ravens and @ Seahawks in playoffs, won @ Bengals)
2011: 1-0 (won @ Titans)

So that's a 5-6 record includin the playoffs since Brees took over as starting QB. Not bad, especially since only 1 of those losses was to a bad team (Seahawks). But also not great. And it probably is worth noting that the only playoff game the Saints have won away from the Superdome was the neutral site Super Bowl against the Colts.

DUNNO GUYS, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Nark Order 01-03-2012 05:43 PM

Unless the 9ers beat the Saints. :)

We (9ers) probably have a chance going into Lambaugh against the Packers because cold weather is much harder on an offense than it is a defense. Also, the Packers haven't played at home this late in the season in quite awhile and may not be used to the cold themselves. BUT I DON'T KNOW.

Supreme Olajuwon 01-03-2012 05:43 PM

DUNNO
