I can't remember enjoying a Santino Marella match as much as I enjoyed seeing him get knocked around by Antonio Cesaro on RAW. Cesaro is pretty fucking incredible. Since Kofi Kingston is logically the #1 Contender to the IC Title with two victories over Curtis Axel, I hope that Kofi beats Axel and then Cesaro beats Kofi. I think he's ready for people to care about a mid-card title reign of his.

I guess that was the big draw then, because I don't remember caring about Orton VS. Christian at all.

GD 09-11-2013 10:42 PM

Christian won the World's Heavyweight title. How can you not care about it?

Survivor Series 1998 and Fully Loaded 2000 not even mentioned

After I watch the WWF:1997 Timeline Jim Cornette, would anybody else like it? I probably won't watch it more than once. First to reply gets it.

Fignuts, the DVD is yours. I really only watch these things once.

Bad News Gertner 09-12-2013 05:09 AM

I'll do the same with the Superstar Billy Graham Timeline 1977-78 once I get it in.

A Santino/Cesaro team would be hilarious.

I was thinking this in passing today. It'd be like Kozlov/Santino, only probably funnier and Cesaro is a better work than Kozlov.

Bad News Gertner 09-12-2013 08:18 AM

If Marella and Cesaro formed a tag team, smarks would have a massive heart attack.

Mr. Nerfect 09-12-2013 08:20 AM

I was also thinking that Cesaro could make a pretty good babyface in general. I was going to make a thread about this, but I'm too lazy. Being a strong foreign guy that isn't the best talker seems to lend itself pretty well to heel stature, but Cesaro's explosiveness and incredible feats of strength in the ring are things to marvel at.

At Night of Champions, I hope The Real Americans actually win the Tag Team Turmoil match. It's not like people are going to order Night of Champions for the Tag Team Title match this time around. The Usos and The Prime Time Players, for all their virtues, aren't really "heavy" teams. I'm not saying that The Real Americans have been treated as such, either, but I don't think it'd really matter if they got the nod.

In that match, have Rollins and Swagger take it in turns to be beaten down. Cesaro goes on a rampage and looks to have the match won, but it's stolen from them with Dean Ambrose interference. After the match, a dejected Cesaro (who takes the pinfall) is attacked by Jack Swagger under orders from Zeb Colter, who informs Cesaro that this is "tough love."

On RAW, Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger stand in the ring and Colter explains what happened at Night of Champions. Cesaro has been losing too much, so he and Swagger made an effort to toughen him up, but they'll welcome him back with open arms. Cesaro's Dean Malenko theme hits, and he walks out to the ring, arms behind his back, not showing much emotion. He gets in the ring after wiping his feet, and then proceeds to beat the ever-living crap out of Swagger as Colter flees. Cesaro tosses Swagger from the ring and then stands with their flag held up -- then proceeds to rip it in half before posing for the hard cameras with his hands behind his back looking like a badass.

Bad News Gertner 09-12-2013 08:25 AM

Cesaro needs to come out and do a Persian Clubs demonstration like the Iron Shiek

Mr. Nerfect 09-12-2013 08:27 AM

Cesaro doing anything would make me happy.

Mr. Nerfect 09-12-2013 08:34 AM

Cesaro could be the guy who eventually stands up to Ryback.

For Gertner:

By Ryan Clark on Wednesday, September 11th, 2013 at 4:26 PM EST
– According to The West Central Tribune, Eugene Otto “Buck” Zumhofe will stand trial on December 6th of 2013. he is facing 12 felony counts of criminal sexual conduct for having alleged sexual contact with a young female relative approximately 1,800 times between 1999 and 2011.
During an evidence hearing on Monday, “a 24-year-old Wisconsin woman testified that she traveled with Zumhofe’s wrestling troupe for a time around 2006 to 2007. The woman, who was 17 years old at the time, said that she awoke early one morning to find Zumhofe sexually touching her, as she slept on the floor of the one motel room occupied by the troupe.”
More details on the case are available here.

I saw that. Hopefully Zumhofe is released. He did nothing wrong and he's a great man.

I live in Iowa, but my trips to Wisconsin exposed me to trashy women who will do and say anything for attention and be absolutely nasty when turned down for sexual favors. Wisconsin is the land of the cows, and they're pretty mean but not pretty.

Yes, the final five minutes, and they replayed the entire 12-minute match on Nitro the next night.
