And Dynamite is a big part of the problem. WWE has a deep enough roster to somewhat (SOMEWHAT) manage the oversaturation issue but AEW absolutely isnt. With the WWE at least they tour which keeps some cashflow going to offset the production costs but AEW is just a money pit. It has a host of problems they i dont think it can survive. But its failure should never be a reason to prop up the wwf. Thats absurd. That would be like comparing Disney to Nikelodeon. They both make kids programming but theyre operating at completely different levels. If disney loses 100 million its a bad year. Id nick does it they go under. If AEW averages 1mil they can potentially earn more for the network through ad sales. If wwf does they lose money. Its pretty straightforward. |
Raw just needs to lose the 3rd hour and they’ll be averaging 4.0s in no time!!
|
It would help viewship but hurt revenue. Its a weird time. Dynamite is the same issue. Its not helping numbers week to week but with them not touring the money from TBS is essential. So its a weird catch 22. They need the money but its sucking the life out of them. The business model is completely counterintuitive.

That’s all well and fine and you make plenty of cogent points, Destor. But it all falls apart when you consider FTRBadFedBaldVickieEvilNylaPenisShamblesROFLROFLROFL.

I'm a Shamblin' Gamblin' Man!
It doesn't matter how he Turns the Page, Tony Khan just isn't good at his job. He is just running Against the Wind when it comes to the idea of good booking. That's why his ratings are falling Like a Rock. For the record, I did the "Shamblin' Gamblin' Man" bit as a reference to the whole Shamble's meme. When I typed in "Turn the Page," I realized serendipity. So, I just went with the whole Bob Seger run. |
He should've never gotten the book. He wouldve been a fine money mark

The Khans are an amazing financial resource. If only it was limited to that.

SD - 2.38 million
Rampage - 287k |
287k is a fucking disaster.
|
Who gives a shit? The Australian ratings are what really matter. AEW has a TV deal in Australia therefore will have ratings in the country.
|
Let me guess, low AEW Ratings = Fan is getting mad again
SHOCKING! :rofl::rofl::rofl: |
When the stress of constantly being outed as a retarded person finally causes your heart to pop, Noid’s gonna commit the ultimate act of betrayal and have his half of the gravestone removed.

287k for Rampage is objectively bad. It’s down 39.1% in viewership yoy (does that still matter to the apologists?) and 65% in the alleged key demo (let’s really hope it doesn’t). That’s brutal. There’s no way around it. |
I wonder how wise it was for Tony Khan to go looking for a ROH deal and coming up short as he heads into negotiations for Dynamite (which I believe currently has Rampage linked in the deal). He’s tipped his hand to show that no one is really interested in more Tony Khan wrestling. Why would WBD offer him a significant increase when they’re one of the few bidding for wrestling?
Yeah, cable is dying and the network’s prerogative could be to drive viewers to streaming and use wrestling to create a false gauge for the overall network popularity to sell whatever ads they can. But they can get all that from Dynamite without breaking bank. |
watching two people who have fan on ignore discuss what fan posted about is peak wrestling forum

Got anything to say about AEW’s declining ratings or is that not “peak wrestling forum” enough for you?

Wasn’t last week’s show on 3 hours prior to its usual time slot?
(I know that ruins the narrative, sorry). |

It’s only gonna get worse now that he won’t be able to step outside and play with his boomerang without EVERYONE discussing AEW (AEW has a TV deal in Australia, if you didn’t know.) There’s no didgeridoo loud enough to drown out the talk of what Tony’s big surprise is gonna be happening everywhere he goes now! |

it's unfortunate for me as a fan? i'm not gonna give you three paragraphs of bullsht if that's what you're looking for.
|
I’m just looking for you to participate in a wrestling discussion as opposed to trying to stir the pot while acting like you’re above it.
|
i'm above it? you're the one who never shuts the fuck up and doesn't even watch wrestling. which one of us is acting above it?
|
i do my wrestling discussion in the show threads. if you're looking for what i have to say, go to those.
|
having noid on ignore is great because I don't even have to read his dumbass posts to know ron is owning him rn

although my good friend screech has pointed out that i'm also wasting my time here so what do i know? just a dumbass like the rest of us.
|
It’s really only wasting time if your goal is to get them to understand and acknowledge that they are just the worst.
If you just wanna shame people for saying stupid things in an arrogant manner in a public forum, I say you’re fighting a noble fight. |
2.00 million for RAW

Do you think every forum has a “Time of the Month” like we seem to here?
|
Probably not the smart people forum. Nothing but speculation and scuttlebutt that fits the shared narrative. Pure bliss.
