Here's my theory:

All of the missed perks were phone-related. I think the fans who were denied phone calls from Jake or Scott should compare their area codes and see if any stack up as way more frequent than others.

Because area codes are assigned to have roughly the same population in each, this could mean Hall and Roberts' telephone providers are incompatible with those area codes. Not every cell provider covers the entire U.S., you know?

They could just use skype then. Not a good excuse.

ESPN is working on a 30 for 30 piece on the Von Erich family. The plan is for the piece to air sometime in January 2014. Kevin Von Erich will be interviewed for the piece and they will be traveling to Hawaii to film him at his home.

Probably is going to be one of those mini 10-15 minute episodes they've done for a few 30 for 30 topics.

Biggest indicators would be how short of time they are working on it and haven't read anything about the WWE suddenly approving of Bill Simmons idea for a full episode.

ESPN already owns footage of WCCW as they retain the rights to all programs that aired on their network.
