As of this week's answer... No. Just no. No one else is going to hit that level of legacy that Mae Young has hit.

Stephanie McMahon because Triple H's penis is the fountain of youth. Proof: Look at Chyna before, during, and after copious amounts of Paul Levesque coitus.

I don't think there's a man that can match the longevity of Mae. She wrestled/made appearances for pretty much 75 years. Flair would have to do another 20 years to match that, do you think he'll live to be 84!?

When was the last time a woman remained relevant for a decade let alone 7?

Stephanie is probably the safest bet for obvious reasons.

I wouldn't compare anyone to Mae Young, but when you want to talk about a lasting impact on the business, I really do think that AJ Lee, Paige and Emma could all have long careers in the WWE, providing they keep their nose clean. Paige and Emma are not only two of the most talented girls on the WWE roster (perhaps the most talented two), but they are also babies. Emma is twelve years younger than Layla, for example, while Paige is fifteen years younger. That's a long time to make a splash once they connect with the WWE audience on the main roster.

As far as AJ Lee goes, I feel that she is one of the most important female characters the WWE has ever had, and she's only going to get more important if the Divas Division continues to be highlighted and they want to expand their female viewership. She's already achieved so much with the WWE and still has years left to achieve more. It's very likely she will compete at WrestleMania XXX this year, and it's very likely she will get a very good reaction and be able to ride a wave of momentum to an even better year than she had last year.

Being so young now just means they'll be younger when they finish up with WWE - whether that's because they've expired their "shelf life" or get bored with the way they get booked.

What's the average life-span of a Diva? 6 years?

I think the closest thing to Mae was Trish Stratus, but she's all but forgotten now anyway. Currently, I guess AJ Lee, but that still feels like a serious stretch.

I'd add Natalya to the discussion. She's not going to go down as an all-time great, because they book her pretty shittily, but she's got the family name and she seems to be well-liked, so I can see her showing up from time to time for a very long time to come, even if she'll never be an important part of the show.

I was just saying that was the numbers I came up with in order to get anywhere near 62%. I have no idea if those numbers match up to anything. I thought at first it might be over 9 years, because 'the decade' could include this year which hadn't been won yet, leaving you 9 years. Nothing would break into 9 years to give close to 62%, so I went to 8. God knows.

Poit already explained in the podcast. The promo video was supposed to say "the last TWO decades". I worked it out in the Raw thread that they'd included 21 events in the last 2 decades. That gave you 61.9%.

I don't think a decade is 8 years. I guessed that maybe they were counting 8 occurances in the space of a decade because that was the way to get close to 62% in a flipping decade. I am terribly sorry that I didn't hear poit definitively explain it.

Just to stitch up the wound while the axehead is still buried in there.

I was going to say that I think every time there's a bad PPV the show should open with me killing myself to the sad piano music to The Incredible Hulk, but then that would be pretty much every PPV week.

You could kill yourself in a different way each time. It could be something to look forward to. "What's Cayse going to do to himself this time?" You'd be like the Kenny of TLP.

Only Batista is left and #30 turns out to be Bryan who ends up tying Santino's record for quickest elimination. Authority joins Batista in the celebrations with Triple H saying this was "best for business" and everyone in the ring openly mocks the crowd with the YES! stuff to end the Rumble.

I want that as a single file on my phone or on youtube.

Batista entering at #29 and eliminating everybody in the ring within the 90 second interval followed by Daniel Bryan entering at #30 only to be eliminated as soon as he enters the ring and breaking Santino's record for shortest time in the Rumble match. The shitty ending would then be made up for by the ensuing riot.

What is wrong with him? I thought it was a visa issue again. Was Summerslam the last time we saw him wrestle? Unless he was on Saturday Morning Slam for a while...

AJ Styles definitely WAS the face of TNA, but I guess that's over now. I'd say Kurt Angle is the closest thing to it right now. They should probably make it Austin Aries soon, though.

Samoa Joe. He has been constantly with the company, primarily as a face, in the singles division. He really evolved there, unlike (INSERT YOUR FAVORITE FORMER WWE WRESTLER HERE) when they jumped to TNA.

Did you guys completely skip over the Wyatt Family match on Smackdown? It was the main event.

Actually, I'd like to see Christopher Daniels get a run at the top for awhile. He is entertaining and great in the ring, I guess his size is his holdback, which is not a good excuse these days with Punk and Bryan being in the fold.

The face of TNA should be Jeff Hardy because he is exactly like TNA. More often than not he is good and even occasionally great, but he is very liable to completely fuck shit up once in awhile. He is the lovable underdog who you always seem to can't stay mad at no matter how many times he takes a giant sloppy diarrhea shit all over your carpet. Jeff, please come back home.

Kurt Angle. By going there, he made the company seem legit.

Angle. Pretty much their biggest star remaining and has done a lot for the company.

Think Magnus and EC3 have the best shot at being the future "faces" for TNA.
