It really looked like the front row was jumping out of their seats to react to the last second kickout by Taker. And then just just stood there in shock. lol

Also, I didn't know for sure, I just figured if they were going to end the streak it wouldn't be clean. Plus, CM Punk told me that's what was going to happen. Soo.... |

Watching the Battle Royale.
Loved Fandango's elimination spot though. Tyson Kidd needs his shorts back. Tiger Uppercut! Kofi's spot was hilarious. So was the swing. I still love the fluidity of ADR's arm breaker. Loved the finish! Thank goodness Cesaro keeps Swagger's music. And the crowd's pop for the finale spot was awesome. |
lol at you taking my bitching seriously. It was the first time I was emotionally invested into something in the WWE in a long time. I'm glad it paid off.
|
Wait, you took my "some people" as a reference to you who I don't even know. I don't even remember a post you made two days ago but you went digging!
|
Just rewatched Taker vs. Lesnar. It's much better on a second viewing, likely in light of knowing that it was an important match, but also because I actually actively watched it instead of zoning out.
Taker definitely didn't look like he should be in the ring, but that may have just been great selling. Crazy. |

Also, WHO ELSE predicted CM Punk would return to screw Undertaker? Stop back-tracking, you were wrong, so was I. Take a breath or get your inhaler. You're not cool. |
I just hate when people re-write history to make themselves look better. I was telling this to CM Punk the other day in my hot-tub as we drank a gallon of Florida Orange Juice.
AJ Lee was there in the nude. |
I think it was either one of the Bella twins fellating me or maybe it was HBK.

Rob12 > Rob11

And my wildly successful band Fellatio Born had just won our Grammy and I had been offered a role in the Walking Dead. I declined, because my busy schedule as a secret agent wouldn't allow for it.

Probably one of the best Manias ever.
Lesnar vs Taker is WWE's Red Wedding. |

Seriously though, it was awesome. |
lol at Damninator for taking me seriously and neg repping me for closing the thread for 60 seconds

Punk showing up this quickly after bailing wouldn't be good. He shouldn't get the wrestlemania bonus for showing up after bailing. He's found peace right now and maybe his future wife (if rumors are true.) We shouldn't feel sorry for him he wasn't mistreated and he chose to leave.

Also, I need a fuck load of green dots to get that dickheads red one of my rep sheet. Please feel free to spam this post with love people.

I don't think I could die with a red dot on my rep sheet. #seriousbusiness

I thought the same thing, mang. I sat there with mouth agape for a solid minute, haven't had that kind of shocking moment since The Red Wedding. |
I'll certainly be watching Raw tomorrow night to see the Taker-Lesnar match outcome get reversed, Fandango beat Big E for the IC title and Bryan lose the title to Batista.
|
Mostly for Fandango though.

I like to think WWE found out who was leaking info to that dolphin guy, and said "if you want to keep your job, you'll feed him a lode of bullshit tonight."
Fuck that dolphin guy. |
I'm not upset Brock beat Taker. Yeah, I was a huge fan of the streak, but we all know that Brock is also a legit fighter who could probably fuck up a lot of people on real life? So why not an old man?

This was an absolutely terrible Wrestlemania.
Christian wasn't on the show. |
- Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan was alright. Already knew what was gonna go down, but decent enough match. Triple H's entrance was hilarious.
- The Shield NEED to stay together. Just when you think one of them is primed for a main event push, another one of them steps up. Any one of them has the potential, but they operate so incredibly as a team. The fact that they've been together a year and a half now, have been constantly featured in main angles, and have not yet gotten boring is a testament to how amazing these three are. Give 'em a face turn. - 2014 will hopefully be Cesaro's year. Guy is mad over right now. Not bad considering Vince apparently didn't like him a few years back. - Lesnar/Undertaker match was pretty boring, but holy fuck the end. The entire sports bar I watched it in went silent. The beauty was that it wasn't even dramatic or after a billion finishers. EVERYONE expected Undertaker to kick out. Brilliant. - Main event was brilliant. When Triple H came out loadsa people in the bar were like "CM Punk's gotta come out"... I knew no one was coming. They really stacked everything possible on top of Bryan tonight, and it paid off. All-in-all, despite an incredibly underwhelming card on paper, this pay-per-view was brilliant. :y: |
Seriously, though... good show. D-Bry/HHH and D-Bry/Orton/Batista were both great matches. Cena/Wyatt was good, but not great.
Lesnar/Taker.... wow..... I was, you know... sunk into my couch... just like "yeah yeah, here comes another false finish".... and then three count... but it didn't sink in right away.... then after a few seconds it was like "Wait, that was three. ..... THAT WAS THREE?!".... at which point I sat up straight on my couch and was like "What?" I still don't know how I feel about it... need to process it... still doesn't feel real |
I loved it.

Guys, I propose that we call The Shield's finish from tonight the Triple Double Powerbomb.
Rolls of the tongue better than Double Triple Powerbomb. |

... of course, it would eliminate any confusion if they just gave it a name.
And WWE actually used said name. They kinda are inconsistent with named manuvers and will sometimes go "and there IT is" insead of saying what "it" is for those who don't know. |
So the shit about Lesnar sabotaging the match is obviously bullshit, but they're saying Taker went to the hospital for concussion like symptoms.
Wondering if it's possible that in his dazed state, Taker mistook the 3 count for 2. Not that far fetched. Fans weren't the only ones who looked confused. The ref, and even Lesnar himself looked like they were lost. |
I was reading all these rumors about Taker having to be rushed to the hospital afterward on Twitter too but I was hesitant to post anything until I saw at least a link to a source.
It would definitely fucking suck if they did fuck up the ending but I'd imagine the referee is aware of the ending and can bullshit a "shoulder's up" or something. It's happened before. |
Yeah, could all be nonsense, but still fun to speculate.

I think the WWE needs to bring in Kazarian, just so they can team him with Cesaro and get the more accurately named Cesarian section.
|
Thought that said "Kizarny" at first glance. I like that option better.
|
Had a few hours sleep and it still hasn't sunk in. How are they going to use this going forward? On a plus side, the Network streamed pretty smoothly throughout although I ended up a few mins behind.
|
Double Triple Powerbomb
DTP or DT Bomb |
Ended up watching Taker / Brock, the Divas match & the main event.
The finish for Taker / Brock just came out of nowhere. Shocking? Yes. Beautifully done? Not sure. But, it has me intrigued about the future for both. Is Taker done? Will Brock have a full schedule? Hopefully, only good comes out of it. The Divas match was fun for what it was, although i hated the idea of everyone being tossed outside the ring, followed by individual spots. Too fake. Absolutely fine with AJ's win. The main event was a solid match, with the finish we've all been waiting for. And that was the problem. Was the pop when Batista finally tapped gargantuan? I'm not sure. Maybe it was the exhaustion, maybe i was still trying to get over Taker's loss. But it didn't generate the response i expected it to. Leads me to think if the thrill of the chase is better than the victory itself? Hope not. I haven't seen Cena / Wyatt yet, but overall, this was a solid Mania. |

It's ok, Wyatt did enough. If they book the next few weeks right, he'll remain relevant. He had a few spots that genuinely creeped me out. Tonight, the smark crowd will be swaying and singing 'The whole world in his hands'. You're right though, this Wrestlemania has pushed the newer talent to the front and it's exciting. |
Cena didn't need the win and it wouldn't affect his standing one bit had he lost. If he'd put Bray over clean it would have given him a huge rub, at least it wasn't the Super Cena routine.
|
Being there for SCSA and the Rock was magical
Hogan got some intenese heat for saying the "Silverdome". Lesnar is awesome. Cesaro and Bryan got the biggest pops next to SCSA and the Rock. I was the only person marking out for Santino. |
|
People seem to want Cena to lose to every younger guy as if Cena himself has been in "pass the torch" mode for years now. He hasn't been. He's still a full-time star and the face of the company. Just being in a competetive match with Cena for a guy who has only been in the company for around 9 months is HUGE for Wyatt and signifies his arrival as a star of the future. Hogan didn't really NEED any of his wins past WrestleMania 3 just to keep him in good standing. But he got them. And he shoulder have. You build a guy up to make his matches draw people in and keep his wins and losses memorable, not to wait til he's established and then just job him out to the all the younger guys just because he doesn't NEED to win anymore.
|
Overall a great Wrestlemania to watch tonight. Enjoyed pretty much every part of it.
Like millions of others and all of the arena, I could not believe Taker got pinned. Absolute shock. Taker should get the last half an hour of Raw tomorrow and a standing ovation from every single person in the building. I am glad in my first live wrestling event I was able to see Taker's last WM win in person, too. The way they did Bryan's story tonight was outstanding. It may have been the obvious route but it was the right one. Crowd was amazing despite what Asmo was questioning, and he gave a great ending to a great Wrestlemania. |
really enjoyable show, but then again i also thought it looked good on paper. taker/lesnar still seems weird to me. it wasn't a very good match as far as telling a story goes, or even as far as spots go. i have no problem with the streak ending because it definitely should have at some point. not sure if lesnar was the right guy, but that will ultimately be determined by what they do from here. does he automatically step into the title scene? i'd imagine he has to. where else is there to go?

I really wanted Cena to go full Sith mode and join the dark side. Not terribly upset that he won; the match itself was phenomenal and Wyatt still goes over huge despite the loss. But I think it would have been a much more impactful finish if Cena gave in to the dark side and started choking bitches with the Force
