Donovan McNabb going to the Vikings.

Team Sheep 07-27-2011 12:33 PM

Jets agree to five-year deal with Holmes

Yeah I can't believe he won't trade his QB who already has a huge contract yet still continues to threaten retirement and act like a crybaby bitch. What a jerk that guy is.

Redskins gonna kick in some money with that ridiculous contract he got last season?

What does the value of Palmer's contract have to do with anything? He doesn't want money. He wants to play for a well run franchise while he can still play.

The only reason Mike Brown won't trade him is because Brown doesn't want to set a precedent because then everyone will want to leave. Of course this obviously ignores the real issue that his franchise is so shitty that nobody wants to play there, but what do you expect from the worst owner in professional sports.

Ahmad Bradshaw to the PHINS

I saw Orton might get traded there, but I haven't seen this on nfl.com or espn.com. do you have a link by chance?

Minnesota almost cancelled the trade because they were also considering Tyler Thigpen but that ended once he signed with Buffalo.

It also means that the Jets have to get rid of Braylon Edwards unless he wants to take a huge pay cut and also hurts going after Asomugha unless he wants to take a big discount. The Jets offered too much money to Holmes especially with the guarantee being in the Top 5 for WRs.

Team Sheep 07-27-2011 07:16 PM

Rex can be a hell of a negotiator. We'll see what happens. Main priority first and foremost was securing Holmes though imo. Sanchez and Holmes partnership was arguably the difference between 11-5 and 8-8, and of course the ridiculous touchdown catch against the Pats in the play offs to kill them off just when they got back into it and the stadium was rocking. Seconds later you could hear a pin drop. Amazing.

Evil Vito 07-27-2011 08:22 PM

Now I'm reading Bradshaw is out of the Dolphins' price range and that he will probably stay with the Giants.

God I hope so. That would be a devastating loss, and with DeAngelo off the market there won't be anybody who could truly replace him.

Like the David Baas signing a lot.

Crimson 07-27-2011 09:44 PM

I dont understand the Panthers signing Deangelo all that much. You have Stewart and Goodson a decent backup..this isn't a running back league anymore. They coulda signed help elsewhere, like who's their starting wr's for example

Emperor Smeat 07-27-2011 10:03 PM

They had to due to the team being $70 million under the cap and the new CBA forcing teams to spend up to the limit and not have owners pocketing the money. Even if they started shopping in free agency, they probably wouldn't have reached that amount unless they gave out bad contracts which is something the owners got upset with last time.

Its one of the side effects of the rookie pay scale being reduced since under the old system, Cam Newton's rookie contract would have "eat" up most of their extra money.

RoXer 07-28-2011 03:14 AM

Fucking done with Arizona teams

RoXer 07-28-2011 03:15 AM

Its difficult to build a future when you constantly trade away young talant

RoXer 07-28-2011 03:18 AM

Trading away an excellent player who was a first round draft pick for an unproven backup QB might be the most retarded move I've ever heard of.

If Kolb turns out to be an amazing QB then I'll eat my hat. But I have a good feeling I'm not eating any hat anytime soon. Fucking rediculous

Nervous Ferret 07-28-2011 03:58 AM

Will it be the As hat from that one picture

RoXer 07-28-2011 04:12 AM

That one doesn't fit me anymore so I had to buy new ones

RP 07-28-2011 07:26 AM

Albert Haynesworth traded to the Patriots.

CSL 07-28-2011 02:30 PM

what's the betting Belichick has Haynesworth playing like it's 2008 in no time

MVP 07-28-2011 02:55 PM

At least the Pats didn't give up too much for Haynesworth other than a 5th round pick in 2013. I guess he praised Belichick and the organization in an interview like last year, so maybe he'll actually step it up this year instead of being a lazy bastard like he was on the Redskins.

I am hoping he acts like his normal self. I want to see how Belichek handles him.

Agreed, the guy is a total moron and I fully expect his off the field nonsense to continue.

FearedSanctity 07-28-2011 04:00 PM

Kolb thing is finally fucking over. Way to overspend on one mediocre looking QB Arizona when you could've had another for a lot less

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2011 04:19 PM

The Bengals sign Bruce Gradkowski to the delight of absolutely no one.

Couldn't possibly be worse than that other Palmer or a rookie on a team that's basically imploding.

Anybody Thrilla 07-28-2011 04:41 PM

Just wait. It'll turn out worse. Somehow.

A part of his laziness was him not wanting to adjust from a 4-3 system in Tennessee to a 3-4 system with Shannahan and it didn't help that Shannahan was unwilling to adjust his defense to take advantage of Haynesworth talent.

Belichick can find a way to make Haynesworth work in any defensive system or even his current system without having any problems. Of course Haynesworth needs to work on his attitude problem since Belichick is even more stricter than his last couple of defense/head coaches.

RoXer 07-28-2011 05:17 PM

AND A 2ND ROUNDER?!?!?!?!

RoXer 07-28-2011 05:18 PM

It's not bad enough to destroy the possibility of having two young, top tier, excellent cornerbacks to build a defense around, YOU HAVE TO GIVE UP OUR FUTURE'S FUTURE AS WELL?!?!?

Kolb better become a god damned hall of famer

RoXer 07-28-2011 05:19 PM

Can I veto the trade? What can I do as a fan here?

Hanso Amore 07-28-2011 05:31 PM

BILLS BIG MOVE

BRAD FUCKING SMITH

RoXer 07-28-2011 05:50 PM

FearedSanctity 07-28-2011 06:02 PM

RoXer, how do you feel knowing you could've had Orton for a 3rd?

Supreme Olajuwon 07-28-2011 06:30 PM

Chad Johnson just got traded to the Patriots. Hooray

Hanso Amore 07-28-2011 06:42 PM

I ain't the biggest fan of Belichick or the Golden Boy, but I hope they put him in his place the minute he steps foot into Foxboro.

RP 07-28-2011 07:31 PM

pretty sure the Patriots are jumping the shark right now.

CSL 07-28-2011 08:28 PM
