Yeah, they attacked a guy then watched him lose and left. They didnt signal punk, they didnt celebrate with him.

This is going to lead to a new stable that wars with Ryback, and will probably get squashed in doing so.

Corporate CockSnogger 11-19-2012 01:42 PM

Will obviously wait to see what happens on Raw and over the coming weeks but my first instinct would be to agree with Hanso here. It's much more likely that these three will just target Ryback. Eventually he'll get the better of them and they'll just start phasing out as a group and gradually go on to be singles guys lower down on the card.

I think it would be interesting to see who they side with, I'd even tease them siding with Cena.

Yeah - the WWE does alot of short sighted booking lately to bridge planned gaps. That is one drawback of booking the Rock for the Rumble so far out, you need to just tread water until then. Maddox and now these three are just stop gaps to keep Ryback strong while keeping the title on Punk.

They will not be in a Punk stable, they will be NXT guys looking to make a statement.

Hell, if I am wrong Ill take a week long ban.

Everyone sees what they want and are getting way too amped up. Just be happy a couple new talented guys who should have good careers made the roster. This isnt going to be some kind of HEYMAN GUY STABLE OF GUYS WHO ARENT HEYMAN GUYS

Hanso Amore 11-19-2012 02:16 PM

Ryback has so little history it makes it hardto book this "invasion" as well. Would be cool if it was part of a bigger picture but he is so new and has had nothing in regards to storylines the last 6 months.

But it COULD turn into a bigger picture! Maybe the guys that are in a heyman stable who aren't heyman guys at all will turn out to be Heyman guys after some development, only to have the original Heyman guy (lesnar) to return, wipe out the new heyman guys that aren't really heyman guys in the heyman stable and then form a tag team WITH Ryback called the Badass Submission Machines!

There's no reason to re-unite Nexus. It's not like the name "Nexus" brings back such memories like the NWO or something that they can use the name to make people think "OH SHIT! NEXUS IS BACK!!!" It was a stable that was strong for a couple months back a couple years ago and then went to shit and drifted aimlessly with a bunch of glorified jobbers.

Evil Vito 11-19-2012 04:19 PM

I can see it going either way (stable or no stable) but I'm just pumped that Dean Ambrose has finally made the roster. Been waiting for that for months. Good times.

#1-norm-fan 11-19-2012 04:24 PM

I lean more toward what Hanso said. WWE thinking of something noteworthy to get Ryback out of the picture in this situation but not really planning much past that one incident. I'm guessing from here on out, they fly by the seat of their pants. I wouldn't put too much hope in some drawn out, elaborate story coming from this.

Heyman 11-19-2012 04:46 PM

My question is, what storyline purpose does it serve to have all of these guys going after Ryback? (Outside of Heyman's command).

Like why would all these guys just randomly target Ryback with the intention of making a name for themselves?

At this point, it would almost make no sense for these guys not to be secretly aligned with Heyman.

Supreme Olajuwon 11-19-2012 04:48 PM

Well, the simple, easy (lazy) explanation is they wanted to make an "IMPACT!!!!!!!!!!" just like Brad Maddox so they attacked Ryback just like Brad Maddox.

Seems like everybody does things these days to make an "IMPACT!!!!!!!!!!!" without much other thought behind it.

True.

It just seems odd that that would be the logical explanation when you consider that everyone is going after the same guy.......a guy that isn't even the Nu bed one guy in the company.

Why couldn't some of these guys go after Punk, Cena, or Sheamus per se?

But again - most fans won't think along these lines and so it's a moot point anyways.

Exactly, and just like propaganda, you have to target the simplest minds to have the greatest effect.

#1-norm-fan 11-19-2012 04:55 PM

Maybe they'd be guys that Ryback destroyed jobber-style before coming to WWE? I don't know.

This could be a good plausible explanation. Jealousy of how he got called up instead of them could also be used as justification.

#1-norm-fan 11-19-2012 05:06 PM

OOH! Can't believe no one thought of this. Or if they did, I just missed it...

Maybe they're friends of Brad Maddox from their FCW/NXT days together.

Cool King 11-19-2012 05:12 PM

I was thinking that.

They're probably associated with Maddox in some way.

Supreme Olajuwon 11-19-2012 05:16 PM

I thought of that like 6 weeks ago. I just didn't say anything.

Corporate CockSnogger 11-19-2012 05:17 PM

Maybe they'll just go back to NXT again without much more than a "hey wasn't that weird" mention from the commentators. Like Brett DiBiase.

#1-norm-fan 11-19-2012 05:45 PM

lol. Totally forgot about that Brett DiBiase thing. Ridiculous.

Hasney and I got it covered a bit ago :D

#1-norm-fan 11-19-2012 06:02 PM

Oh... I see...

#1-norm-fan 11-19-2012 06:02 PM

I'm actually leaning more toward Tod Gordon now though.

I went to tha show it was pretty awesome. They had autograph pics of cena and punk for 20 dollars at the merch stand. The pyro is way to freakin loud but the pacers arena is damn nice. Sat with a bunch of Punk fans up in the balcony. We yes'd! and No'd! on like every bryan kick, punch, whatever, and I then got a Summers Eve chant going during the diva match. It was a kick ass show.

Biggest live pop- Ryback through the table, Orton, Punk
Most heat- Vicki G. we couldn't even hear what she was saying over the speakers.
Tensai when he f'd up the Brodus suplex, and Cena(lol)

Tommy Gunn 11-20-2012 12:52 PM

We only just got Antonio Cesaro, Ryback and Damien Sandow added to the roster in the summer, and those guys all need room on the shows to grow, plus Ziggler and Miz are prominently in the upper-midcard / main event, so do we really have room for 3 new NXT guys? It's getting kinda stacked in the midcard, I wouldn't want the fore-mentioned guys to lose TV time in the middle of pushes.

Ziggler is getting moved up to the main event, Miz doesn't need a whole lot of TV time as he slowly develops into a full-on babyface, Cesaro is fine getting is 1 segment a week, and Ryback only needs 1-2 segments a week. The NXT guys will be involved with Ryback for at least a month and then will probably go into the tag division until they splinter off after a few months.
