This is why I didn't expect Dean to turn on Seth so quickly. The Shield's return last year was only like a month and a half/two months before Dean's injury. They were always going to milk one more Shield run before they started feuding with one another again.

Yes, but only a select few can pull that off. Rock, Austin, etc. Reigns is not one of them, at least not currently, especially with the way they've been handling him (scripting him, booking him, awful writing, etc.) so far.

Seth and Dean came out and saved their brother from being ambushed by a monster among men right after he'd just fought a grueling 30 minute match. The Shield are very clearly meant to be faces in this story.

Was it executed particularly well? Not really, specifically Reigns having that cocky ass grin. But that was certainly not a Shield heel turn. If it was, Cole would've been condemning them because WWE likes having him hammer the point across.
