Hate that Revengeance is a word.
|
It sounds so odd.

I remember hearing a while back that they had wanted to make RDR a full on series like GTA. So, that obviously means we'll get sequels.
It'll probably be like GTA with a new protagonist each time. I don't think we'll get Marstons "early years" or anything. |
That actually would be pretty entertaining as they established his lifestyle back then. If they did a prequel 5-10 years prior, it could be pretty sweet.

People wanted a Cowboys & Indians style of setting before RDR was released. Forums often had people saying they wanted to come across Native tribes and so on.
If R* listen to fans, they might do something with that. |
Make a Red Dead game where you play as a Native American, fighting the white man.
Red Dead Reservation. |
Cowboys and Aliens :shifty:
|
Would have been a more entertaining DLC than Cowboys & Zombies.
|
Red Dead Redemption 2 : Bonnie's "wild ride" :naughty:

Really happy Rockstar refuse to streamline their games into yearly iterations, quality over quantity.
|
There's going to be a Payday: The Heist and L4D crossover.
I'm not sure what to think about that. Could be great though. |
Rockstar had that stance for a long time, announcing it a few years ago after GTA4 came out. I guess they wanted to reiterate it after Max Payne was released. It's an honorable stance. But really, nobody really does it but Activision(?).

Some good and bad news in regards to Gearbox's upcoming Aliens: Colonial Marines game.
The good news is a new trailer was released for the game and Gearbox confirms the game is in the last stage of development. The bad news is the game has been delayed from its original late 2012 release date to now a February 12, 2013 date with the Wii U version being delayed a bit longer. Gearbox was hoping to have the game ready by the time the Wii U launched but will not be able to in the end. It appears Sega might have been the ones to make the official decision to delay the game based on the press release sent and Gearbox mentioning they will just polish the game for those extra months. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/9lF_ON58_7Y" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://www.giantbomb.com/news/and-no...r-either/4163/ ______________________________________________________________ Daily Recap: 1) Microsoft has added a new disclaimer to the XBLA version of Minecraft about the lack of non-HD tv support for split screen mode while also offering refunds for anyone who can't play the co-op split screen. http://kotaku.com/5912095/microsoft-...necraft-gamers 2) Square Enix is planning on releasing two more Just Cause games with Just Cause 3 debut expected to arrive by E3 and Just Cause 4 teased for the future based on recent domain names purchased by the company. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...use-4-domains/ 3) Concept art for the next game in the Tales series hints at a potential futuristic and city setting which would be different than the usual rural-type setting previous Tales games had. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...c-concept-art/ |
Forgot to put that the first one is about Minecraft Smelly.

FUCK yes @ Just Cause 3 & 4. For the love of god though, put in cheat codes this time. This type of game begs for them.
New 007 looks sexy. Wonder what the other 5 movies will be. Dr. No, surely. |

Bought Sonic 4 Episode 2 and kind of wishing I hadn't. Dunno, the tag moves are a bit dull and you get told when to use them and which move to use so there is no need to "experiment". Or you could just tag-team barrel roll through the level. The bonus stage being accessable at the end of every level is a bit dull too. It would have been better if it was only accessable at the end of the frst act of each zone. Though they don't put enough zones in the game for that. |
The details of Bungie's contract with Activision have been made public as part of the legal action with the former IW heads.
They're going to make 4 "sci-fantasy" action shooters under the code-named "Destiny". The first should drop fall 2013 and be 360 (or it's successor) exclusive for one year. Follow-ups will then be on Sony, MS and PC in 2015, 2017, and 2019. Then you have 4 DLC expansions code-named "Comet" coming out in the falls of 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020. Activision are allowed to take over all these projects if Bungie cannot meet their requirements, but they cannot make spin-offs or sequels until all of Bungie's work on the franchise is complete. Finally, 5% of their team are allowed to work on a new Marathon game with that team allowed to grow once they reach a certain level of operating income. http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/21/ac...code-named-de/ Not mentioned in the Joystiq article is the promise of large cash bonuses if a game gets a metacritic ranking of 90 or above. I was hoping to see something fresh out of Bungie personally that wasn't a sci-fi (or sci-fantasy, I guess) shooter, but stick to what you know seems to be the credo here. |
38 Studios is fucked.
http://www.joystiq.com/2012/05/21/ri...udios-layoffs/ Not sure if they or EA own the copyright on Kingdoms of Amular, but if it's the former, don't expect a sequel anytime soon. |

Pretty much. This Governor Lincoln Chafee fellow has said he's done letting the state give them "easy money", confirms layoffs, doesn't confirm if the current staff are being paid or not and then says the MMO will be out June 2013.
Basically, they owe $49 million to the state, they paid off $1.125mil this month and the next payment is due November 1st of $2.6 million. Then a wonderfully crippling $12.6 million in 2013. The Rhode Island administration says they'll do everything it can to stop the company failing short of giving it more cash. But since they're ambiguous about staff being paid or not, the cynical bastard in me assumes they're not. Turbine and Avalanche studios are holding recruitment events in the area to try and get some of their staff with the former having 50 openings on their current MMO project. If their MMO comes out June 2013, I'm assuming it will be out regardless of what state it's in to try and rake in some of the cash to keep them afloat |

According to recent rumors and leaks, Konami is planning on making two new Castlevania games with one set in the classic 2D style for the 3DS and a sequel to Lord of Shadows for every other platform.
The 3DS Castlevania game is rumored to have the title of "Mirror of Faith" with no other details besides the game expected to follow in similar style to previous games on the GBA and DS. Also hinted was the possibility of the producer from Lord of Shadow, David Cox, taking over the project instead of Koji Igarashi who has been the producer for the portable branch of the series. There were initial plans for Mirror of Faith to also have a Wii U version before it was canceled which would have used the tablet's cameras to activate AR features and motion controls for the game. The sequel to Castlevania Lord of Shadow is also rumored to be in development with the Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita, and Wii U expected to be the platforms for the game. Almost no actual details were leaked in regards to this project nor any confirmation if Hideo Kojima is helping with the development like the original game. The official debut for both games have been rumored to occur at this year's E3 and be one of the main games featured for Konami's press conference. http://www.screwattack.com/sites/def...der_158734.jpg http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...-to-3ds-report http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...a-and-xbox-360 _______________________________________________________________ Daily Recap: 1) Bioware announces layoffs are being done to a significant amount of staff involved with the Star Wars The Old Republic MMO game. The unofficial reason is due to the growing decline of the user base and declining revenues generated since the game's launch. http://kotaku.com/5912361/layoffs-hi...bioware-austin 2) The reboot of Devil May Cry has an official release date of January 13, 2013 according to Capcom. http://www.giantbomb.com/news/today-...ch-dates/4166/ 3) Hideo Kojima confirms footage from the E3 demo for Metal Gear Rising: Revengence will be shown off well before E3 officially starts. http://www.egmnow.com/articles/news/...own-before-e3/ |

Should have gotten some kind of Alpha Anthology out for this too.

Huh. 95% sure I'll end up getting that SF collector's set. Just as well, since I traded in SFxT a couple of weeks ago and they probably won't have the jumping issue fixed till the time when all the 12 dlc characters are out.
