Every single Scott Steiner promo in WCW is that he was going to fuck his opponents wife after the match.

Just something I noticed.

Had to add this 'match.' Noticed the X's on the more recent viewings. Also noticed Sting saying "Why don't you tell these people why you're really out here?" or something along those lines.

The lesson learned? Sting is NOT gonna take your shit!

VSG 03-18-2011 11:15 PM

Yes, they technically did.

But I'm only posting the video to point out that Nitro was preempted for a TNT original movie. lol

I like how I use the term 'fucking moron' and you use the term 'feisty'

Maybe if I had the same kind of PIZZAZZ I could be a warmly regarded wrestling forum poster with the maximum amount of reputation points

You also have to love how String was like "I agree" to the bullshit chants. Looked like he didn't let Hardy up either. Hardy tried to kick out, LOL. Watching it again it also looks like Sting tricked Hardy into the finisher.

YOU'RE WELCOME.

Agreed with dropping the ball. Having him start up his "Fortunate Son" gimmick was a good idea. Searching for a Virgil was a decent start, and getting Virgil himself was solid as well. Then they rushed everything and he just kind of got tossed aside.

He should have had Virgil with him far longer than he did, having Virgil assist him in winning matches as a distraction while Ted took advantage. Adding the Dream Street side russian leg sweep into a camel clutch-like manuever would have been great as well. Faces tapping out to a heel helps get them over as a bit more legit.

But no, they dropped Virgil for Maryse in the blink of an eye, with zero build and zero payoff. If anything, adding Maryse should have led to either Ted winning even more so than he was and getting a decent upper mid card run to oppose Morrison, or losing momentum after dropping Virgil, and ultimately building to dump Maryse.

There is still a chance, since Ted is so young. But they need to get his character going pronto.

From PWInsider:

Apparently, World WRESTLING Entertainment are offended that they are perceived as a WRESTLING company.

TVWeek.com put out a headline mentioning 'Drew Carey inducted into pro wrestling Hall of Fame'. Later, they received an email from WWE publicist, Kellie Baldyga, demanding that they change the headline, mentioning that "We are no longer a wrestling company but rather a global entertainment company with a movie studio, international licensing deals, publisher of three magazines, consumer good distributor and more."

Baldyga added "No, we don't do wrestling events. They're entertainments. And we don’t call them wrestlers. They’re superstars and divas."

TVWeek refused to change the headline. They just removed it. She then followed up, writing "I know the perception is that we are a wrestling company but we are actually much more than that--we are a global media company which is how our Chairman and CEO, Vince McMahon, positions us."

Xero 03-21-2011 02:58 AM

I LOVED that theme. He came back after an injury, short lived weight loss, and a 1st place at a lifting competition as fresh fuel for the "World's Strongest Man" gimmick. Was face for a couple of weeks using both this theme, then the one it was changed to that sounds "close enough" then briefly dissappeared again before being paired with Rodney Mack and Teddy Long. From what I heard, it was the sample from that Antiloop song being uncleared is why it was so briefly used.
