Just saw the ratings for last night. Wrestling is so fucking dead lol. WWE pulled out every stop humanly possible and couldn't get a million. AEW pulled just over half a mil. It's literally just two retards fighting in the playground at this point.

Wrestling on tuesdays usually draws 800k lately, give or take. 1.53 million people watched collectively last night. Against playoff baseball. I don't know how your take away from that is that wrestling is dead.

TPWW is not the amazing barometer of fandom you seem to think it is. Two blowout playoff games aren't the reason NXT only drew like 60k more viewers, and AEW lost 200k. Both companies hotshotted just about everything they could, and it didn't move the needle at all.

There's something on tv almost every night you could use to excuse current day ratings.

Especially given baseball's recent struggles with getting viewers itself. I could see game 7 of the NBA finals, or some of the marquee NFL games making a minor dent, but that's about the extent. Rasslin fans are generally stinky gleeborg nerds who aren't into sports, they just want to see Kenny Omega holding up a "heckin trans rights" sign and clap for Canadian destroyers

Gotta love the people mad that WWE used main roster stars on NXT to be unfair to AEW. Only AEW is allowed to use WWE main roster stars on their show!

why did they even bring taker and cena to nxt anyway? i legit dont know.

also, lol at anyone trying to compare those 5 names to taker OR cena, alone. Daniel Bryan is the only real notable name there. As great as he is, he's still nothing compared to cena or taker, IMO.

Without using WWE Main Roster stars, would AEW even still be on TV? Maybe WWE loaded up the show to embarrass the idiot owner of AEW who personal takes cheap shots at WWE constantly. He called Shawn Michaels a bald asshole on Twitter, because Shawn books a wrestling show? You can bet your ass he would sign Shawn Michaels in a heartbeat if he could, just to tell Shawn what a great fan he is and to give him awkward hugs.

Hell we aren't even touching on AEW having to do a pre-show for a TV show and calling in legends from other promotions to boost it up. In fact the AEW pre-show was an ROH guy vs a NJPW guy. AEW wasn't even involved. That's pure desperation!

It was a good night of wrestling and there has been a great amount of discussion from it since.

I will say...if WWE had just run a normal NXT show (still using Dom and Becky as their respective champions) AND had still beat AEW, it might have been time for Tiny to hang it up.
