Howard would be a good sign for Boston if it is a 1 or 2 year deal.
If Dwight Howard gets 24 million per season then.. wtf!
Hawks ended up getting Dwight Howard with a 3 year, $70.5 million deal.
Around $1.5 million less overall than the $24 million per year he wanted as a basis. |
Outside of the Thunder, Cs and Clippers currently are being aggressive in trying to sign Kevin Durant.
Cs want a deal with Al Horford done as soon as possible to help persuade Durant to sign with them while ESPN states Durant was "blown away" with how good a recent meeting with the Clippers went. |
C's deal with Horford is in the books. Still a good signing in my book even if it doesn't sway Durant to sign.
If the reporter who broke the news is correct, Thunder might be out of the Durrant sweeps as a result. Durrant had been courting Horford to sign with the Thunder as his own assurance he'd be staying.
Now that's gone and other offers looking more favorable, Durrant might be gone now. |
Hope Durrant goes to the Celtics. Really want to Cavs to have an actual playoff oppenent before the finals.
Jazz sign Joe Johnson. Nice move.
Jazz should make the playoffs this year. Doubt the Mavs will get in. Houston might miss out too. Hoping New Orleans puts on a better showing this year.
All in all it does not matter. Will only be like 4 serious contenders like always. |
According to ESPN and league sources, the Durrant sweeps are down to the Warriors, Thunder, and Cs. Depending on reports, its either between Thunder vs Cs or Thunder vs Warriors for his final decision.
If he goes to the Warriors there's not even a point to having a season next year.

Aaaaaand Durant is going to the Warriors.
My interest in the NBA has waned more and more as the years have gone on, but this the final nail in the coffin. I can't get invested in a sport when there are only 2 teams that are actual contenders to win a title. |
Durant is a giant pussy.
I don't think it's a good move. He's pretty much what they already have and doesn't bring anything new to the team. I thought they should have went after Horford or another big, the defiantly didn't need another shooter. Thompson will now get less shots and I'm not sure about it.They needed to get bigger and tougher not add more shooters in my opinion.
I know my #1 pick in Fantasy Basketball will be Russel Westbrook now. That dude is probably going to try to average 45 a night. #Heroball82games

Barnes and Bogut are rumored to be heading to Dallas. I could see Dirk coming to GS but I still don't think that is enough toughness inside.
Durant to the Warriors. Hope he knows that Stephen Curry's team.
WHATCHA GONNA DO NOW, PHIL JACKSON!? |
Durant you giant bitch. OkC was a beast team if you returned. Pieces were in place to take out the Warriors with Oladipo coming in. Guess he just wants to blend in the background with a bunch of shooters instead of being the man. Big puss
Pau Gasol on his way to San Antonio.
Aldridge, Ginobili, Parker, Gasol, and (possible) Duncan. Pop's Boys might be better than the Durant-added Warriors. |
I think the Warriors will win 58-63 games and not make the finals.
Still a really good season though. |
It's Championship or bust for them though a really good season won't cut it.
According to the Boston Herald, the breakdown behind the scenes with teams wanting Durrant ended up being Durrant liking the Cs but not the East, wouldn't have picked the Warriors if it wasn't for Jerry West, and seems like the whole time he wanted out of OKC because of Westbrook.

Been rumored the way the talks were going, if Durrant staid with the Thunder and signed a 2 year deal with an option after 1 year, Cs likely would have nabbed him next offseason. Horford deal came way too late to actually swing his decision this offseason. |
The 2010s Thunder are now the equivalent of the 90s Orlando Magic.
F the NBA........

Remember when the Portland Trail Blazers had the #1 pick and selected Greg Oden? Me neither.
Trail Blazers fan, I do. Thought it was a great pick at the time.
I think the Pau Gaso signing is being way under rated. Dude is still a beast and will be 5 times better than Duncan was last year.
Spurs shipped Boris Diaw to the Jazz today.
We go now to Gertner for his thoughts. |
lol Bulls. If only this was 2013.
Enjoy the 5-8 seeds and the 19th pick in the draft for the next few years. NBA Hell. |
Seems like Pat Riley is the reason for today's decision and probably didn't like Wade dragging this on for too long.
Bulls don't officially have him yet since they need to clear more cap space at the moment.

For Miami, Pat Riley needs to know: Is Wade in or out? If he's out, Riley is lining up contingency plans. Bulls really need to learn what rebuilding means.
If they cared they wouldn't have let Tom Thibodeau go.
That was more of a complicated situation than people realize. Both sides were at fault. I'm on Thibs' side more but he didn't make things easy. Not an easy guy to get along with. There's a reason he wanted total control of a team.

With all the trading, I can't tell which ones are jokes anymore.

Allan Crabbe just got 75 million dollars.
I had to look him up. |
Who did he sign with? Crabbe was with the Blazers. Solid backup guard.
Ok it's with the Nets, Portland can match it but I doubt they will.
CAVS STILL GONNA WIN BABY! ITS FUCKIN LIT!!!

Tim Duncan quietly retires after Kobe made a big deal about a final season. Always has to do it better than Bryant.
Love me some Tim Duncan. Bummed to see him go, but what a great career.

NBA has reportedly pulled the All-Star game from Charlotte due to their LGBT law. Looking at New Orleans as the new venue.
The bathroom issue strikes again.
About time this absurd hatred cost them something they care about: it's all about the monnaaay.
Ahem.
Lebron won another one. |
Pacers are stacked next season. I hope they play Paul George at SG. And bring Monta Ellis off the bench
C Myles Turner PF Al Jefferson SF Thadeus Young SG Paul George PG Jeff Teague Thats a pretty damn stacked starting lineup. And the CJ Miles, Monta Ellis and Rodney Stuckey and Aaron Brooks coming off the bench. Or they put Thad Young at PF and bring Jefferson off the bench and start Monta Ellis at the sg position. That's some real depth right there. |

So not a Heat fan no more? |

How did they get Al Jefferson and when? Or am I thinking of someone else? He was on the Hornets right? |

Kevin Garnett calls it a career.

Damn. Would have liked hin to play one year with Thibs but that would probably be more work than he wants to put in. Sad because the young team could use him.
Probably could have pulled a Jordan by helping out with practices and development had Flip Saunders not died. Him and Saunders were planning on buying the team prior to Saunders passing away last year.
you guys post here like other teams are gonna win the finals it doesnt matter what team has who the cavs will win every year so suck off nerds

Ben Simmons fractured his foot. I'm devastated.

What a moment! Truly a brilliant story.

Jazz are probably going to win the title

Westbrook is going to do amazing things this year.

Celtics suck lol
17 titles to 1.
17 titles lol when everyone sucked. Mj couldn't do anything against the skilled players in the NBA now. If LeBron played in mjs era LeBron would average 40p 20 boards and 20 assist a game.
Woooo down go the Lakers
Lake Show!
 ESPN showing a highlight from last night's Wiz-Rockets game where the Washington crowd is cheering wildly because they just got free chicken sandwhiches even though the Wiz were losing.
Phil Jackson is getting pissed off the Knicks aren't running the triangle enough as he would like.
Simple solution. COME DOWNSTAIRS AND COACH THE TEAM! |
I don't think Phil is healthy enough to coach them.
Feeling confused. Watching the Minnesota/New Orleans game and maaan where is the defense from Minnesota? Feel like Tibbs would have took his players off the floor if they were playing like this in Chicago and just forfeited the game or put the practice squad in. This is terrible.
Cs had a bomb threat scare occur while in mid-air to Oklahoma for an upcoming Thunder game. Seems like the threat only became known late into the flight and not enough for them to be rerouted for an early landing elsewhere.

wtf
Rudy Gobert has been playing out of his mind the past couple months. So glad the Jazz locked him up.
Cavs are the best. Best PG and best player ever in LeBron James. And being under the tutelage of Dan Gilbert we will go back to back sucka
RIP Craig Sager :(
:( RIP.
Was surprised last year when they said he never worked in an NBA Finals game till Cavs-Warriors II. Thought he worked at NBC at one point when they still had the Finals tv deal but apparently they never used him for it. |
RIP Sager, damn shame.
Rudy fucking Gobert! 27 points, 25 rebounds!
I really thought the Pacers were going to have a great team, but it's turned out to be a team i hate so badly. I love Jeff Teague and Myles Turner, but honestly, i'm ready to trade Paul George.
There is not enough talk about The Process in here.
Knicks currently rumored to be trying to trade Carmello Anthony away with Cs and Clippers as teams they'd want to do a deal with. Tried to do a deal earlier with the Cavs but got flat out rejected when they asked for Love in return.
Doubt Ainge would be that dumb to take Melo and possibly derail what they've been building the past couple of years. Also he'd be a horrible fit for the team. Not sure if Clippers would bite either especially if they have to give up something valuable in return. |
Cs may bite with all those damn young players and draft picks.
Clippers won't give any of their stars I am sure. No one will.
I don't think an ego guy fits with the C's.
DeAndre Jordan over Gobert in the All Star Game. Fuck that shit
Agree Bad News Fag
Totally agree. Love Gobert. He deserved it. |
Clippers ended up being interested in a deal with the Knicks for Melo but want a 3rd team involved to make it happen. Possible the Cavs could get involved since the Knicks are also in talks with them.
Cs ended up rejected offers by the Knicks because they don't see Melo being valuable for them nor want to give up certain players needed to make the trade balanced. Quote:
I can't believe NOBODY wants Carmelo Anthony. You'd figure one of the super teams would jump all over this.
Team needs to be blown up again for the millionth time within the past 10 years. Build around Porzingis. |
If the Clippers keep on losing then I can't see them not finding a third team to trade for Melo.
Quote:
Cs didn't want him because he does nothing to fix their defensive problems while Cavs didn't want to downgrade going from Love to Melo and a bigger hit to their already high cap penalty. Clippers are only interested if they can find someone else to take the load off of whatever the Knicks get back to make a potential deal even since they already told the Knicks all their top players are non-negotiable. |
Phil's fault he gave him the money in the first place.
To be honest, Phil's fault for a lot of things since he took over. |
Anyone in Phil's spot would have gave hin the money. Melo was/is the biggest star the Knicks had the possibility of getting.
It's either that or they become the Nets.
