Factor that in with the fact that David Tyree is eligible to come off the PUP list after next week...cutting one of the kickers would be the optimum way of getting him on the roster. They really don't even need him and so they could IR him for the rest of the year, but if the guy is healthy and ready to play the ethical thing to to do would be to cut him and let another team pick him up. But it would be depressing as hell to see the Super Bowl hero get cut.</font> :( |

Good on the Saints. Maybe now the league will start reviewing their officals a bit more tightly. Not that all of them are bad mind you. Just that some of them are calling shit that doesn't happen or just not calling stuff that they're supposed to call.

On that play (the facemask in the Saints game) was Hochuli in position to see and call the foul? If not, I don't see how you can blame him.

The defender was hanging off of the facemask, and you could see Bush's head kind of jerk toward the defender. I don't care where you are on the field, you have to throw a flag on that play.

Hochuli really isn't a bad referee. Of course you can't argue with the call in the SD/Denver game but besides that the guy is one of the top crews. Can someone who watched the Saints game say with 100% certainty that Hochuli was in position himself to make the facemask call? It falls on one of the other officials in that case.
