Punk cashing in last time did not work very well.

Even beyond the fact that I think the match itself was spectacular, wrestling is about getting caught up in the excitement of it all. If you can't suspend your objectivity than you're missing half the show. My greatest memories as a wrestling fan have come STRICTLY because of getting caught up in the excitement. Hulk Hogan vs Andre was not at all a good match, hell the bodyslam wasn't that big of a deal, but that MOMENT, was about getting caught up in the excitement. Shawn Michaels and Bret was the definition of a 5 star match, but the reason I loved it above every other match I have ever seen is because those were my two favorite guys in the business ever, and I was hook, line and sinker in the moment.

It's not always just the wrestling product that makes something five star, that's what makes the match technically sound, it's the moment.. the excitement that gives a match that special intangible that makes it 5 stars.

You know what though, you spend your time not getting caught up, and I'll just continue to keep marking out I guess.

Yea, anyone who is saying that match wasn't great, i would like to know what match YOU think was great. That match had EVERYTHING you wanted. I think almost match of the decade. HBK does it again. But who better to steal the show with than UT. Like, i know the crowd has to be EXHAUSTED from that match so yea, i do feel sorry for the next matches.

HBK/Taker was probably the best match I've seen in a couple years. Not only was the match *****, but the storyline and buildup was *****. That is the way you book a fucking feud and that's how you deliver the final blowoff, if it's even final yet

I wonder how much Shawn has to do with the booking of his feuds, his stuff tends to be the best played angles as well though. Like, the feeling going into Shawn's matches are absolutely epic. Then the match beats all expectations on top of it all.

Was awesome to see Taker drop to avoid the SCM, Michaels pull back to go for the legs and get caught in the gogoplanta. That whole match was just unreal off the charts.

I do wonder that, because out of all the wrestlers, Shawn really has the most emotion in his feuds. His feuds with Taker, Flair, HHH, and Jericho were fricking immense.

It's actually a fairly solid match, with GREAT psychology (letting show get tied up and just leaving him instead of attacking, etc), it's just following HBM (and Taker) which frankly... just isn't fair.

And they say there's a recession. :p
