Haven't been this excited for a Smackdown game in years. Gonna love this.
With the old weapon physics, bitches are gonna be lazybombed onto steps left and right by Nash.
Apparently they are using the Raw 2/Legends of Wrestling CAW announcing system now. No more-pre-set list of audible names.
Saves space.
:O now I am sold! Assuming the name list is actually decent. Raw 2 had one of the best CAW systems ever
Holy shit at that Five Knuckle Shuffle/Splash. This engine is amazing.
YES!!! OH MY GOD YES! INTERRUPTING MOVES! I've been waiting for that for YEARS. Seriously! I got so fucking tired of wrestling a triple threat match and Rey doing the 619 and me....sitting there....waiting.....waiting....waiting.....now it seems like I can GORE THE BASTARD
The action is more fast paced? Good! The past games have been slow as hell. The targeting system with the arm, head, or leg is another thing I like. And according to this guy, the opponents are "Much more agressive" and the AI will "attack your weaknesses". That's good. I really do have high hopes now. I just hope they made the difficulty harder, which is what I've been hoping for a long time now. If they AI is smarter and more aggressive than they say, then they could at least up the difficulty. |
Sounds pretty damn good haven't bought a SvR game in years because of how slow the matches are.
Hopefully "harder AI" doesn't just mean they counter everything like the past few years.

I know LoW had my first name but I'm not sure if it had my surname. Hoping a list of recorded names etc comes out soon. Just so I can see if it's on there. |
Daniel Bryan appearently has his Cattle Mutilation.

Haven't bought a game in two years. I think I'll get this one.
I'm getting quite stoked for this game. I traded SVR11 back in June, so I will be ready for some RASSLIN' come November.
More excited for this than I have been for any wrestling game in years...
Kinda hope they stop doing this for Nintendo consoles and just do a Day of Reckoning 3.

If this game has a "I hate you Heath Slater. I hate you" fan in the audience then I'd be officially sold.
Admittedly...realism aside I think it's completely retarded that they've added in Sin Cara's lighting for singles matches, but NOT providing the option to turn it off.
I might actually use him less if it is as annoying as it is in real life. |
lol they actually have Sin Cara's lighting in? That's pretty stupid.
One thing that cheeses me off to no end is that, despite all the move towards making everything look "broadcast quality", the fucking damn screen fades to black between entrances and before the match starts. Youd think someone would figure a way to fix that.
Fix a loading screen, Dro?
I mean they could try to hide it to make it more seamless but get over that. |

I wouldn't be completely surprised if WWE quit doing that right as WWE 12 comes out. It always seems there is something WWE changes within a month of the games coming out to instantly make it outdated. Usually it is music (which isn't an issue anymore) or the logos/match screens for SD.
What's this ring lighting?
Just watched a video on Youtube... Seems annoying.
I have a feeling that this game is going to be buggy as fuck when it comes out...

You don't want JR screaming about FRUITY FRUITY OH MY GOD FRUITY SKITTLES in the next game then?

I agree with you on this. |
Yeah, but having ads for every match would be kinda crappy. They usually only do it once or twice a night. A crowd panning screen is a good idea though.
You guys understand that a crowd shot isn't going to make for a good loading screen because they're hundreds of individual npcs that have to be loaded themselves, right? Loading screens are a fact of videogames. That's the single whiniest complaint I've ever heard about the series.
YOU'RE the single whiniest complaint I've heard about the series.
I know. People have been clamouring for me to be included on the roster since HCTP. There's always hope for next year, though.
There are still a few spots left. Don't give up.
This game looks awesome, and I haven't played a WWE game since SVR08. I wish this was out on the PS2. :(
I can't confirm this list anywhere, but it's floating around so I'll post it. It's the supposed CAS Call List. Apparently you can use four parts in a name. Take it as a rumor right now.
Putting it in a spoiler tag because it's so long. SPOILER: show |
That's a good start if true, but that LoW call list was absolutely massive and you could just about any wrestler, famous person or fictional character in the game at least by their name. I had a Johnny Bravo CAW in LoW2.
I've read on other forums, that among others, the 450, SSP, Future Shock, Brouge Kick, etc, have all been reanimated, and look great.
That was one of their main focuses this time was the reamination of a lot of the moves. They should just have the guys do a couple of hours of mocap work for their own moves and entrances when they come in to get scanned into the game. It worked wonders for MVP's moves/entrance last year. In fact Both the canned MVP signatures and the new ones are both in so you can see for yourself.

I'm most probably just nitpicking, but there is a lot of "pointless" names and names missing that are very common and also are your generic "wrestling names". For example, they have William and Williams, a forename and a surname, but they only have Steve/Stephen but not Stevens/Stephens, which is a very common surname. Stevens is always a very common "Wrestling Surname". They have "pointless" names such as Yamashita, Turtle and Navajo. I don't think a lot of people are going to make a Japanese wrestler or wrestlers who are Indians. :-\ And with the name "Turtle", I'm expecting a lot of Ninja Turtle CAW's to be online. |
