Ugh! Lori is a dumb bitch and it looks like Carol is going to be whispering in Daryl's ear now.

Was excited for Michonne until I saw the woman who will be playing her is not attractive at all. Rutina Wesley would have been a thousand times better pick.

The prison should have 4 or so prisoners alive, as well as numerous undead in seperate blocks. Dexter, Andrew, Thomas, and Axel.

The Governer does not reside in the prison, but in fact lives near it in a place called Woodbury.

Rock Bottom 03-19-2012 03:44 PM

Wonder if they're all really infected, or if Shane just got zombie AIDS from doing the trick Rick taught him in the school bus, then somehow infecting the prisoner since his wrists were all cut up.

Anyway, were those walkers in the pic with Raiden?

Rock Bottom 03-19-2012 03:45 PM

Show is called Walking Dead because they're allg onna die BTW

Blitz 03-19-2012 06:13 PM

I love the fact that absolutely everyone on this show is a crack shot to put military snipers so shame. Check out Glenn getting surgical headshots with a goddamn shotgun fired from a moving vehicle at night.

Also someone writing this show is just a massive misogynist. Just the worst female characters, except Andrea pretty much.

Loving the way Rick's character is going. Amped for Michonne and the prison next season.

Lock Jaw 03-19-2012 07:07 PM

When Glenn started to snipe headshots from the moving vehicle, I was like "Daaaaaaamn, pizza delivery boy has got some Terminator-esque skills!"

Lock Jaw 03-19-2012 07:14 PM

Also, I like how they explained where the horde suddenly appeared from. Mindlessly followed a copter off in one direction from a major city. Then followed the gunshots.

Kalyx triaD 03-19-2012 09:46 PM

Excellent ending for now.

- Rick is losing it, showed some shades of Shane's style there.
- Lori is a super-bitch. She amps Rick to kill Shane than goes soccer mom when the deed is done (in self defense on top of that).
- Andrea is badass.
- Michonne is fucking here, man.
- Prison time.
- Hope to see Morgan and Deryl's bro next year (one confirmed).
- Yeah, took the comic a while to make the point but they are all... Walking Dead. The clear point is to stay alive.

Swiss Ultimate 03-20-2012 01:05 AM

Thinking that some casual fans might assume the show jumped the shark a bit with the hooded character with zombie slaves. Wife was put off, I definitely don't think it fit with the over-all tone...

Hmmm...good episode though.

Lock Jaw 03-20-2012 01:13 AM

Definitely did not fit the tone. If I did not know that character was coming eventually (from everyone here not shutting up about her), I would have definitely been all WTF.

All of the good drama's pretty much have horrible, annoying, bitchy female characters.

The Shield
Rescue Me
Breaking Bad
Rescue Me
Nip /Tuck
Walking Dead
American Horror Story

I think the only shows where I haven't absolutely hated the wife are Justified, and Sons of Anarchy, with SoA being the clear difference when it comes for writing for the female lead.

Next Big Thing 03-20-2012 10:53 AM

I like Maggie and Andrea a lot. They just don't have prominent enough roles to drown out the trifling, pathetic worthlessness that is Lori and now Carol apparently. Hopefully there will be a stronger female presence with Maggie, Andrea and Micchone.

Didn't fit the tone. I had no clue about it. But the character looked badass, even one of my friends who doesn't browse the internet at all thought it was cool. I actually thought she was going to swing the sword and decapitate Andrea

G 03-20-2012 02:02 PM

Last thing this show needs is some super hero type, which is sort of the impression the sword lady gave off. The show does a good job of creating what a realistic zombie outbreak would be like. I hope it doesn't go over the top in season 3.

Lock Jaw 03-20-2012 02:05 PM

Thought the thing with Andrea was going to lead to her running into the "Other" camp. Or that Rick and group would run into the other camp since Shane found out from the dude that they were camped out by the highway.

Either way, thought there was going to be some sort of pay off with the whole "Others" situation.

Kalyx triaD 03-20-2012 02:08 PM

I don't know if you read the books but Michonne isn't over the top. Outside of her preferred katana weapon she's on the same badass scale as Derryl, Andrea, and previously Shane. She just happens to use a katana, just as Derryl has his signature weapon that isn't a gun.

I imagine Michonne, being a katana swinging black chick with a dead serious attitude, will join Derryl and Shane as a fave for a lot of people.

G 03-20-2012 02:12 PM

I haven't read the books, and I imagine the majority of viewers also haven't read them. That's why I'm a little skeptical, because I have nothing but what they show me to base the story on.

Kalyx triaD 03-20-2012 02:14 PM

Trust them. Walking Dead won't turn into Resident Evil.

G 03-20-2012 02:21 PM

You mean it won't go on for years and will be canceled soon :(

Kalyx triaD 03-20-2012 02:29 PM

The show runners already hinted at a 4-5 year run. I don't see it going past Season 4 personally.

G 03-20-2012 02:32 PM

The prison sounds like a magical place with lots of potential for great storylines. Like someone else said, what better place to keep the zombies out than a fortress. I hope I am not disappointed. :)

Kalyx triaD 03-20-2012 02:37 PM

There will be new characters and a secondary setting for sure.

CSL 03-20-2012 02:52 PM

just read David Morrissey is going to play The Governor, outstanding

lol @ the last one

Eklipse 03-25-2012 08:16 PM

The hood that Micchone wears smells like walker flesh and guts. It works the same as when Rick and Glenn covered themselves in it in the first season. walked by the walkers undetected. That's why she wears it. She has figured out a way to get around and survive in this world.

The walkers she has on chains are missing their arms and jaws, so as not to scratch or bite anyone. Walkers don't attack other walkers, so it's another kind of defense she uses against possible hordes.

She is also very prominent in fencing, hence the sword weapons.

Nothing "super hero" about the character.

Next Big Thing 03-25-2012 08:34 PM

Check you out dropping knowledge.

I think the response to her was more gut reaction. If you're not familiar with the comic, you wouldn't really know all that so you'd think they were taking it somewhere else.

Eklipse 03-25-2012 08:40 PM

Yeah. I actually had that kind of feeling as well personally. Not that she's "uber-badass" or anything. It's just weird seeing that kind of character. It's not what we're used to so far in the series. Completely different than any character that we're used to thus far. And I think that's what makes that feeling.

Sounds like a deranged Batman.

YOUR Hero 04-14-2012 09:51 PM

when does the show start up again?

Kalyx triaD 04-15-2012 12:27 AM

They're gonna film late Spring/Summer for an assumed Fall return.

Lock Jaw 04-15-2012 01:11 AM

Probably in October again.

That's a long wait. They best hoe people don' loose their desire for the show. It'll have to come back strong for me, personally.

Blitz 04-23-2012 01:47 AM

There was almost a year between the first season finale and the second season premiere, and they did fantastic numbers. They'll be fine.

Rammsteinmad 04-23-2012 01:20 PM

Caught up with Season 2 of this over the weekend. Not gonna bother with a huge list of thoughts etc, since I've kinda already missed this entire thread, just wanted to say I was completely blown away. Fucking loved it, hence why I got through it all in two days, couldn't turn it away.

Loved the scene on the highway in episode one, when they were hiding under the cars. Didn't give a shit about Sophia, but was sad when Dale got it. Wanted to hate Shane, but there were a lot of times where I could understand his logic. Love the moral dilemmas this group keep facing and everyone's different views on things. The last episode was insane. Really intense and brutal.

Really looking forward to the next season, just a shame we have to wait so long for it. Watched the 'Torn Apart' Webisodes as well. Umm... they were okay, I guess. Nothing amazing or important, but still pretty sad when Hannah left herself to be eaten so her kids could escape.

The Mackem 06-01-2012 08:17 AM

I'm all over this as it has finally came back on poor man's TV in the UK. Shane just had his heel turn, that's where I'm at right now.

Mercenary 06-01-2012 11:57 PM

I'm obsessed with this show. the comics. and the game. I love it!
