Loved Agent Carter. Instantly hooked on this one. Whereas SHIELD was just "meh" for the longest time (basically until Hydra)

JimmyMess 01-07-2015 09:51 AM

I want to like this show... but I found it so ridiculously over-the-top cheesy that I was cringing.

Maybe I'm just being a negative nancy about it.

Shadow 01-07-2015 12:23 PM

Welcome to the 1940s. This show is so 40s it hurts but it works. It works so well. I love it. It's a 40s spy thriller set in the MCU with plots and action and hot dames threatening jerks with forks and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

More please.

Miotch 01-07-2015 01:33 PM

I thought it was relatively boring.

I completely missed the whole Agent Carter show. Is it worth watching?

Shadow 02-03-2015 04:41 PM

Very much so.

Raven Reaper 02-06-2015 09:49 PM

And it gives Sydney from ALIAS a fucking run for her money.

Shadow 02-07-2015 05:12 PM

There's a bunch of idiots online who think this show needs a second season. I'm sitting here, enjoying the ride, and realizing they made this as a one season show in order to fill in some gaps in Peggy Carter's life. It doesn't need a second season. It definitely deserves a second seasons though.

Lock Jaw 02-07-2015 05:28 PM

I would enjoy a second season. Perhaps with a time jump to the 60s.

Sometimes

Corporate CockSnogger 02-08-2015 12:00 PM

Agents of SHIELD has become effing sweet. Agent Carter is absolute bollocks though.

Lock Jaw 02-10-2015 11:55 PM

Nah, its great. I think I'm going to be pretty bummed when it goes away and Agents of SHIELD comes back... and I've been really digging Agents of SHIELD this season.

Shadow 02-11-2015 10:31 AM

Game changing episode tonight. And we're getting to the end game for this.

Loved the kiss though.

Rammsteinmad 02-15-2015 01:47 PM

Like Agents of SHIELD, I disliked Agent Carter at first, but it's getting pretty decent now. After this, if they go for a third season of SHIELD, I've love more mini-series focusing on different characters similar to this, in between.

Lock Jaw 02-17-2015 10:00 PM

Damn at this episode......

:'(

Lock Jaw 02-17-2015 10:09 PM

Pretty devastated right now...

Shadow 02-18-2015 12:57 PM

I KNOW!

Holy crap I knew something was gonna go down but not that. Just not that. I'm gonna be so glad next week when the shit hits the fan for Leviathan and Carter completely fucks them up.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-18-2015 10:51 PM

Episode 1

SPOILER: show
Watched Episode 1 is Agent Carter the stupidest agent in the history of the world? Takes the dangerous chemical to a crowded area to dispose of? Doesn't try to dissolve it in a field or something? Stupid bitch got her roommate killed for nothing.

Shadow 02-19-2015 11:39 AM

You are aware that she's doing an investigation without the help of the SSR right? And that nobody actually knows what she's capable right? So what do you expect her to do? Bring the bomb into work?

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-19-2015 02:01 PM

Bring it anywhere but her house?

Shadow 02-20-2015 05:41 PM

What part of "running an operation behind the SSR's back" do you not get? Or are you being purposely fetal alcohol syndromed?

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-20-2015 05:47 PM

I ignored what you said because it's not relevant.

Taking it to an abandoned field does not raise as much suspicion as taking it to the place where you live.

Shadow 02-21-2015 04:39 PM

And where the fuck is she gonna find a ride to take her to an abandoned field that had everything needed to neutralize the bomb huh? A bomb that had the power to IMPLODE AN ENTIRE FUCKING FACTORY I MIGHT REMIND YOU!

Blonde Moment 02-21-2015 08:34 PM

Its the late Forties, I am surprised she isn't constantly harassed for being out along at night. The bomb thing is irrelevant.

screech 02-21-2015 09:54 PM

Shadow, don't waste time with slick damo. He's a...special one, as I'm sure you know.

SlickyTrickyDamon 02-22-2015 03:14 PM

Cut that bullshit. I'm sick of it.

screech 02-22-2015 04:00 PM

Then don't be so stupid?

Shadow 02-22-2015 05:27 PM

Both of you are retarded and I'll keep posting until he gets it through his slick head.

Or I fly out to his house and pound his head into meat.

Lock Jaw 02-24-2015 10:04 PM

Bit of a weak ending, but still sad to see it go. I hope it gets another season.

Still some questions unanswered about Leviathan and why they were supporting Dr. Faustus with his grudge.

Also would be "cool" to see Peggy Carter's "next encounter" with Dottie. Whether it be right after this series, or 5 or 10 years down the timeline.

alvarado52 03-03-2015 09:23 PM

AoS is back tonight right?

So hard to not fap to this show...far too many extremely attractive women.

Corporate CockSnogger 03-04-2015 03:46 PM

Very good episode on its return. Much better than Agent Carter which was entirely forgettable.

parkmania 03-06-2015 11:00 AM

I REALLY hope that some things that occurred during the Agent Carter show get referenced this second half of AoS. That will at least give it some further meaning. Imagine if
SPOILER: show
Dottie ended up being a new head of HYDRA. I know she'd be in her 90's but it'd still be a neat nod to AC.

Rammsteinmad 03-06-2015 12:02 PM

Yeah that'd be kinda cool.

I enjoyed Agent Carter. It was nothing amazing, but it was a fun little series to watch during the season break of AOS. I wouldn't be devastated if they didn't reference it, but yeah it'd be cool.

I enjoyed the latest episode of AOS though. Really good stuff, with the whole Inhumans thing really starting to play out.

Ruien 03-18-2015 03:25 PM

Why is no one talking about how awesome this has been?

loopydate 03-18-2015 03:41 PM

I'm having difficulty putting its awesomeness into words. I love the deep dive into the back catalog of villains this week. The Screamer is a nice way to pave the way for Black Bolt down the line.

Shadow 03-18-2015 08:22 PM

I forgot about this topic. I just...the recent revelation there's another SHIELD out there and it wants Fury's box of toys...yeah. Just wow. Show's getting exciting.

loopydate 03-18-2015 08:27 PM

Really interested to see how all this plays into Age of Ultron. I feel like something major is about to go down with this alt-SHIELD that will have its roots in what happens in May.

Lock Jaw 03-18-2015 08:27 PM

A SHIELD Civil War is definitely a "cool angle".

Blonde Moment 03-18-2015 08:41 PM

Would be Fury to use Coulson as cover to reassemble SHield his way but I still think it's Hydra.
