Consider that all somebody like Anita Sarkeesian and some female game journalist do is tell men exactly how they should feel.

We have social norms established where we can see a person's reaction and determine whether somebody is either going over the line, or not taking something seriously enough. We can't make such determinations without some sort of interactive constants. But you know that; we do this all the time.

What you're telling me is not to do this in the case of evaluating across gender lines, for no other reason than I'm the man and the one under the microscope is female. I reject this, sorry.

The extreme of this is not being allowed to analyze, promote, or vilify anybody's feelings about anything ever. Because at this point it would be me 'Kalyxsplaining'. I can't imagine you playing a video game. I always thought that you had fun by reading scientific journals outside with your clothes off in the middle of Russian winters.

I don't get playing as often as I used to, but with friends living all over the place nowadays, Call of Duty/FIFA/Worms 2 on Xbox live with my main way of keeping in touch with a lot of people in the past couple of years. For about half my life maybe 3 of the wider groups of friends I've had have all been brought together by drinking and Pro Ev.

Worms is a magnificent game. None of my friends like it because they are fuck faces.

I can confirm that I have played at least six games in my life.

I don't know. Would probably be more meaningful to square off with how many systems I owned. I do remember trying to compile a list of every game I'd ever played, but that was about 14 years ago.

I have also developed games both alone and as part of a team so please remember I am the most important person in this thread.

Of the games you developed, how many reviewers did you make coitus with for positive press. Because those numbers will have to be subtracted from your total count in an effort to remain ethical.

Honestly I'd say I play less separate titles than a lot of you. I tend to stick to a few titles a year. It's why there's no point in me posting in the What Are You Playing thread; it'll be the same group of games for up to a year.

In terms of hours put into gaming, I rather not say...

We're getting an X1 in December. Something's going down.

Objectively the inferior console

Which is fine and all but proves somewhat that reviews don't matter.

I don't know many people who gave X1 solid reviews at launch besides IGN. Most people were pretty critical of it, even after the big 180 turn.

We're getting it because of what I believe are the only decent reasons for choosing a console; controller, exclusives, online network, and where my buds are at. I don't care about specs so long as I'm playing with my dudes in Halo 5.

I also feel it has less technical issues to deal with/overcome. The recent PS updates have been less than positive. The internal architecture also makes the machine much more versatile for someone (like me) who uses it for more than just gaming.

Donut care much about 1080p 60fps. If I did, I would just buy a PC.

Now I feel awful - I am not a gamer :(
