The viewer beef is shaping up to be better than the show.
Gertner is dead to me. |
Sounds like we’re gonna NEED those commercial breaks for some verbal tussling.
I've got to run to the store after work. I'll have it on but probably won't be typing until around 9pm

Plus... Tune in for another wild pre-show as one half of the inaugural WrestleMania main event collides! It’s “Rowdy” Roddy Piper going one-on-one with “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff! It all kicks off tomorrow night at 8:30 EST! |
Almost that time! Link coming!

Thinking about just starting an hour early next week and airing The Crockett Cup on our normal Thursday slot instead of this Sunday. Anyone have strong feelings one way or the other about that?
Possibly the first round on Sunday and then the rest on Thursday.
This event is like 5 hours long. lol |
5 hours?! lol yeah you might need to break that up a bit.
It’s decided. First half Sunday, main show next Thursday.
I was gonna do a noon matinee and then an evening show on Sunday even if it was gonna be one day. Ain’t trying to go full WWE marathon with these special events.
Tomorrow Night!!!
Join us for a special one hour Sunday night edition of the TPWW Watch-along as we begin Crockett Cup week with the first round! Mark Youngblood and Wahoo McDaniel vs Bobby Jaggers and Mike Miller Nelson Royal and Sam Houston vs The Batten Twins “Boogie Woogie Man” Jimmy Valiant and “Ragin’ Bull” Manny Fernandez vs Baron Von Raschke and The Barbarian (w/ Paul Jones and Shaska Whatley) Steve Williams and Terry Taylor vs Bill Dundee and Buddy Landel Chavo and Hector Guerrero vs The Sheepherders Buzz Sawyer and Rick Steiner vs Koko Ware and The Italian Stallion Black Bart and “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin vs Brett Sawyer and David Peterson The Fabulous Ones vs The Fantastics Plus two second round matches will pit The Midnight Express against the winner of the Batten Twins vs Royal and Houston as well as Magnum TA and “Hands of Stone” Ron Garvin facing the winner of Steiner and Sawyer vs Ware and Stallion! It all starts at 9:00 EST! |
I can confidently say the shows that I’ve pieced together for tomorrow and Thursday night will make up the most complete, least edited version of The ‘86 Crockett Cup available online. It’s a true TPWW Watch-along exclusive event!
Well played Crockett Cup. You put must see Magnum TA with must miss Ron Garvin in a clear attempt to toy with me.
The other option was Dusty teaming with Magnum in the tournament and Garvin vs Flair for the title. Here at least you can hope for a 2nd round exit. CAN RICK STEINER AND BUZZ SAWYER OR KOKO WARE AND THE ITALIAN STALLION PULL OFF THE UPSET AND LEAVE US GARVIN-LESS THIS THURSDAY NIGHT???
TUNE IN IN 30 MINUTES TO FIND OUT!!! |
Just a warning. The quality for the first 5 matches is shitty and the matches are also heavily edited down. After that though, tonight and Thursday Night's big show are excellent quality and the the full matches/festivities.

life got in the way, as it does, but is what i missed on sunday available to watch anywhere? i guess it's really not all that important but i haven't missed any of this in months so it feels weird not seeing it.
I don’t have the first round separated as its own show but I’ll post it all after Thursday Night’s show. If I’m home early enough I might just post the room an hour early and show a replay before the show for you and anyone else who wants to hang out.
hell yes!
I'm down for a replay if you decide to do it.
Honestly didn't even think about Sunday because when it was just me and you towards the end of Thursdays show (maybe WeX was still there too) you said something about potentially just not doing the first round on Sunday because of low viewership and just running it on Thursday as well. Never checked the thread after that until it was too late. Was kinda bummed tbh. We've been building to the cup for awhile now. |
Yeah, the show in total is around 5 hours. I had to split it up for the sake of not going full WWE and leaving the crowd drained of life by the end.
And running the first round on Sunday gave me a chance to gauge another night. We got 5 viewers even without the majority of our regulars so it was actually pretty good. |
i had fun
its nice to watch some wrestling casually with no strings attached. haven't done that in a very long time
