Your fans were good at the Bridge, but maybe that was because it was a night game, and theres always a better atmosphere at night.

And United have great away fans, just they suck at home.

Dazz 02-22-2004 01:01 PM

:( I was really hoping Leicester would win.

Mike the Metal Ed 02-22-2004 01:17 PM

I was hoping Spurs would score another. We didn't deserve a point after that.

A fan who feels incredibly let down by 11 overpayed twats.

Wengerland 02-22-2004 01:49 PM

11?

I'd say Dickov and Ferdinand are worth every penny but you're right about the rest of them.

Pissed off about Izzet getting another injury though.:vmad:

Wengerland 02-22-2004 01:49 PM

Oh and Gary Doherty is the man.

I thought Leicester well deserved their point and were unlucky not to get the 3. Ian Walker needs to quit football big time because he just can't cut the mustard.

Wengerland 02-22-2004 02:10 PM

The only good thing i thought about his mistake and then ommission(sp?) from the England squad is that he'd up his performance to try and get back in but that wasn't evident today.

Had a solid second half and didn't stand much of a chance with Defoe's second.

Cactus Sid 02-22-2004 02:16 PM

Defoe has gotta go to Portugal

The Duck 02-22-2004 02:21 PM

Arsenal have the joint worst home fans with Manchester United?

OK.

Luckily for you,yes.

Martin Tyler said when the lineups were up that he was expected to play but got a neck injury,"frustratingly for Leicester fans".Damn straight.

Hopefully he's back for saturday as he didn't say how long he was out for.

Dazz 02-22-2004 06:29 PM

Yeah seriously Izzet used to be good but recently I would say he's barely even good enough for the premiership. I think it said alot when he went down, got transfer listed and no-one came in for him.

Wengerland 02-23-2004 11:36 AM

Middlesborough and Villa wanted him at the time(relegation) and then Blackburn came in with a bid, whilst Villa enquired about him in the transfer window.Seeing as they are all sides with European aspirations i think that says a fair bit, aswell as the fact that he's got about 12 assists this season.

I'm sure at least 13 managers would have him and as he's out of contract in the summer i'll guarantee he'll still be playing in the premiership next season, with Leicester or not.I'm not saying he's good enough for the top 5 or 6 clubs but the others would have him.

It does show the gulf in class though,Izzet/Brown/Merson were probably the 3 best players in division 1 last year but they're no better than average in the premiership.

For me,having him out for 6 weeks is like Newcastle without Shearer for the same amount, baring in mind Bellamy has only just returned i think they would struggle too.

packt up 02-23-2004 02:21 PM

Yeah I pretty much agree - though I doubt the European aspirations of the teams you mentioned. Boro Villa and Blackburn are hardly pushing down the door to Europe in my opinion though looking at the table Villa are 7th :o - shows how close the "best of the rest" is this season I guess.

No way would the top 5 go for him :y:

I have to admit you'll know more about his significance to Leicester than I ever will and if you say he's as important as Shearer I ain't gonna argue :P

PS Shearer is better ;)

Paranoid Rattlesnake 02-26-2004 05:02 AM

Hey WWEngland,

I'm guessing you think this Junior Lewis is shit???

He's joined up with taylor again at hull, I don't remember him getting much gametime under mickey so did he play in the premisership under taylor???

I always get Junior Lewis mixed up with Jordan Stewart for some reason. I thought we'd signed Jordan Stewart on loan for the rest of the season and was pleased, then I found out it was junior lewis and I didn't know what to think

 Glad we agree, though when i said European aspirations i kinda got it wrong.I guess i was thinking about Blackburn being in it earlier in the season and Boro in carling cup final, but i can't see any of the teams gertting to Europe through the league.

p.s Shearer will be retired soon, then who'll be better?

Can't say i rate Junior Lewis sadly,no.

When we first signed him because i had never heard of him and we got him from Gillingham i was kinda thinking that he was a good prospect and i sort of guessed that with a name like that he would be a small, quick player like Juninho or something, but obviously not as he's about exactly the opposite of that.

He didn't play very often at all under Micky, though i seem to remember him scoring once last season but hasn't figured at all this campaign.I think he did play quite regularly under Taylor here because after checking the squad list he's made 28 starts for us since joining.Mainly featured in the reserves but i certainly don't think he's premiership quality, but he is very tall and that could be a helping factor for Hull and available on a free in the summer (Taylor actually gave him £9,000 a week wages here so we could do with that off the bill),but seeing as Marshall,Lewis,Delaney all went from Leicester under Taylor to Hull under him i think he could do well for Third and maybe Second Division football.

Creditors wont accept anymore excuses.

So its simple, in the next week they have to either get a buyer, or they will have to go into administration.
