Just read that it will be in addition to the Classic Rock Pack mentioned above.

D Mac 04-15-2008 04:16 PM

Got Skynard and Crue.

Except, of course, that things didn't end with the Civil War. You're not that naive, Figgy.

As far as the "most people don't consider ti racist," crap, I'd say that was patently false, since it's still a controversial issue wherever it's displayed. Sorry, real world issue>hypothetical change.

Kane Knight 04-15-2008 06:26 PM

I haven't grabbed the single yet. I ran out of points on the track pack. I'd fill it, but I need to moderate my spending.

U-Warrior 04-15-2008 08:33 PM

Picked them all up.

Only did guitar, and Message in a Bottle and Call Me are pretty fun. Simple Man is boring, and Motley isn't a very good song, and moderately fun to play. Should be in a harder tier, I'll say that much.

D Mac 04-16-2008 02:05 AM

Lol Blondie. That shit is so gay, fucking 80s style.

U-Warrior 04-16-2008 02:11 AM

Nah that song in particular can easily be classified as rock.

D Mac 04-16-2008 02:14 AM

I like the new Crue song BTW. And Skynard is, well, fucking Skynard.

U-Warrior 04-16-2008 08:48 PM

CEO of harmonix was just on attack of the show, and said we'd get full album info this week.

Boomer 04-16-2008 09:41 PM

Considering I've had no drum experience, I'm doing fairly well. I'm almost done beating solo on Hard with them, but I seriously need some schooling with the kick drum.

I know the kick drum sucks and all, but what kind of real drum exercises can I do to get better with using the kick off-beat with the drums or alternately with the drums? I know it's a ridiculous question...but someone might have an answer.

Kalyx triaD 04-17-2008 07:21 AM

Listen to the Transformers Movie Theme by Lion and try to replicate the drum pattern with one arm as a snare, one with keys or change as a snare, and your foot for obvious reasons. This is how I got started on drumming way back when. It's an easy beat that gets you on your way to kick drum/snare patterns.

U-Warrior 04-18-2008 10:16 AM

Well thats a complete swerve.

Will buy JP and the Pixies for sure, tho.

D Mac 04-18-2008 02:22 PM

D Mac 04-18-2008 02:22 PM

Guess what I'm mad about.

U-Warrior 04-18-2008 04:47 PM

Young people curse more than they used to?

D Mac 04-19-2008 03:56 AM

No Metallica Black announcement.

D Mac 04-22-2008 02:04 AM

And whatever happened to Metallica Fuel coming out.

U-Warrior 04-22-2008 09:39 AM

You need new sources.

D Mac 04-22-2008 02:21 PM

That OXM said it was along with some others like the NIN pack that already came out.

U-Warrior 04-22-2008 06:42 PM

You need new sources.

KingofOldSchool 04-23-2008 05:45 PM

I'm still not buying any songs until they release Who's Next as that was one of the primary reasons I got the drums and the game.

U-Warrior 04-23-2008 07:28 PM

That's rather silly logic, Koos.

How so? I'm not giving them any of my money until they deliver the goods they promised. Real simple logic if I say so myself.

U-Warrior 04-23-2008 07:49 PM

They never promised that album DLC would be available right away. Any source you got that from was bullshit.

Even if they did, so what? It's not like they all got together and said "Hey guys, lets fuck over all the people waiting for who's next!"

The reasons we havn't seen dlc till now, are technical in origin, most likely. And as for the who in particular? I would guess that given the amount of people that want it, they didn't like the charts enough, and decided to perfect them some more. So if I'm right, its a good thing.

You aren't winning any battles by not purchasing dlc. Harmonix is working their ass off in case you couldn't tell by the sheer amount of dlc we've gotten. You're depriving yourself of great dlc, and for what? To spite a bunch of people who are giving you more dlc than any other company ever has?

After everything we've been given, I don't see how anyone can complain. Yeah its an annoyance not to have Who's Next, but its an understandable one. Damning the rest of RB's DLC because it's not out, seems like overkill.

Hmmm I never said it had to be available RIGHT AWAY. Hell it's been like what, 6 months since Rock Band came out? And they were touting the full album of Who's Next since before it came out.

I could give a rats ass less about what has already been released, because nothing that's been released on DLC has made me go "OMG I GOT TO GET IT RIGHT AWAY!" And I really don't play it enough to make me want to buy songs that I'm only mildly interested in. I'd rather save my points for songs that I'm genuinely excited to be able to play.

I merely stated that I'm not spending any of my points on any other song until they release Who's Next or at least a good portion of the album. It's called being picky and not being like a lot of people and gobble up whatever they throw at us.

I have not played the game enough to where I'm tired of playing the main songs, so unless I have a good reason to buy songs, I am content with the songs that are already on the game.

U-Warrior 04-23-2008 08:40 PM

Well thats different. You made it sound as if you were doing it merely out of anger that who's next wasn't released.

Thank god this was resolved before Kane Knight got here and started throwing around homosexual innuendo.

D Mac 04-24-2008 02:46 AM

Yeah i'm not playing until Metallica Black comes out. That will show em.

:shifty:

U-Warrior 04-24-2008 02:59 AM

They never said anything about the black album.

WHOA. DEJA-VU, HUH D-MAC?

D Mac 04-24-2008 06:07 AM

I said.

Still butthurt, figgy?

Disturbed316 04-25-2008 01:48 PM

I refuse to play this game untill I purchase it :shifty:

U-Warrior 04-25-2008 07:05 PM

New shit for tuesday:

The Mother Hips – “Red Tandy” (MASTER)

The Mother Hips – “Time Sick Son of a Grizzly Bear” (MASTER)

Smashing Pumpkins – “Zero” (MASTER)

Love zero, and I like the mother hips song thats already on there, so i'll give these two a try.

D Mac 04-27-2008 05:54 AM

Come on.

Mister Sinister 04-27-2008 06:01 AM

If I even had any kind of income at the moment, I would so be getting Zero, of course, i would be getting GTAIV as well, but sadly that isn't the case.

And don't feel bad Diesel Mac, I'm sure a Metallica album will come out some point, within the next five years.

D Mac 04-27-2008 06:03 AM

At least have some more songs that are a little more popular. Like more Nirvana, AC/DC or some shit.

U-Warrior 04-27-2008 11:09 AM

Nirvana full album is on the way, and complain to ac/dc about them not being in. I'm sure they've tried.

And I'll bet harmonix is waiting for the new metallica album to hit before they release more dlc from them, since they said one song would be from the new album.

So by rockband 5, you will get another pack.

Funky Fly 04-27-2008 03:46 PM

You know, all this Rock Band DLC means I'll definitely need the big hard drive. The sheer amount of DLC is crazy, and I am going to have that screaming for vengeance ish for sure.

D Mac 04-27-2008 05:06 PM

For some reason I want Headstrong by Trapt on here.
