Okay. I thought you meant the Bengals receiver so I went to NFL.com to see what was going on and found no info.

As for the Titan's Chris Henry, didn't he get suspended for drugs last year?

Yeah, it will be a bitch call when it happens in the endzone and you are on 3rd down.

What if someone just decided to try and carry you outside? Whats the sanction on that? Horrible.

We'll see though. Maybe it'll make the NFL a little more 'gangsta' where the recievers have to work harder and stiff the competition.

lol. I can see it now. Some skinny receiver catches a ball in the middle of the field and gets picked up before his feet hit the ground and is carried all the way to the sideline, all the while screaming and fighting to get down. Perfectly legal!!!

RoXer 08-31-2008 05:46 PM

I think it was overtuned? I don't remember.

Kris P Lettus 08-31-2008 05:49 PM

Card's are gonna start Kurt "paper or plastic" Warner over Leinart..

When are they gonna give him the keys and let him drive??

#1-norm-fan 08-31-2008 05:56 PM

When he stops sucking and Warner stops being way too good for an 80 year old QB.

When you have the talent on offense that Arizona does, you want to win NOW. I totally understand.

John Lynch, the longtime Pro Bowl safety signed by New England two weeks ago, was released by the Patriots on Sunday.

"It goes without saying but John is an all-time great safety, one of the league's classiest professionals and his elite play speaks for itself," coach Bill Belichick said of Lynch, who turns 37 on Sept. 25. "As has been the case in other situations, I would not rule anything out down the road."

During their decade-long run of success, the Patriots have regularly signed veterans and often released them, only to sign them again if needed. Belichick's comments indicate Lynch may be in that category. He has played 15 seasons, 11 in Tampa Bay and four in Denver.

The Patriots also cut Chad Jackson, their second-round pick in 2006. The wide receiver from Florida has been plagued by injuries and played only two games last season.
I guess Stima was right..

:-\

ClockShot 08-31-2008 08:50 PM

John Lynch is always welcome back to Denver.

ClockShot 08-31-2008 10:02 PM

Denver cuts Glenn Martinez.

Thought the guy had a good future and could do some good in the WR crew.

RP 08-31-2008 11:03 PM

his " elite play " speaks for itself? I guess it wasnt elite enough for New England.

RP 08-31-2008 11:04 PM

They have a 2nd place ring you know.

Kris P Lettus 09-01-2008 12:52 AM

OMG

this

Says Jason "Toast" David got cut today.. I see no news of it anywhere else..

WTF

Also

"The New Orleans Saints have signed seven players to their practice squad, it was announced by Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis.

The players signed were G Tim Duckworth, LB Jo-Lonn Dunbar, WR Skyler Green, RB Lynell Hamilton, TE Buck Ortega and DE Josh Savage."
No Palko or Melhalf.. I'm glad we're trying to keep Skyler Green around..

SammyG 09-01-2008 01:12 AM

Rams add Ricky Manning Jr...

I heard that is still going to be called a touchdown. So there will still be some judgment for the ref (a push out = no catch but a carry out does)

As for Lynch I bet he'll still play at least a few games for the Patriots this year

Kris P Lettus 09-01-2008 03:27 AM

Yeah, I heard on Sportscenter tonight that he won't get his guarantee if he doesn't play week one so, they cut him and are planning on resigning him week two..

lol

That is sad..

When they rehire Denny "He is WHO I THOUGHT HE IS" Green??

RP 09-01-2008 06:01 AM

I think Kurt Warner has one really great year in him. This might be it. I'll be making my season predictions in a few. Stay tuned.

His play has really been on the decline the last few years, can't say that I am that surprised

Kris P Lettus 09-01-2008 05:00 PM

Jason David didn't get cut.. It was a "typo" by NFL.com..

I bet the asshole who did it is a Falcons fan..

Travis Henry has like 9 or something ridiculous

Gonzo 09-02-2008 02:37 PM

I just don't understand how you can have that many kids. They just must not give a shit. I mean you figure you have all the money in the world, that takes care of it right?

ClockShot 09-02-2008 03:37 PM

Lions sign Rudi Johnson and release Tatum Bell.

Joe Flacco wins the QB job in Baltimore.

But the big story today is Jags OT Richard Collier getting shot this morning. He's in critical condition.

Kris P Lettus 09-02-2008 04:29 PM

Yeah, that sucks.. Specially since I have both their RBs and Gerrard on my Fantasy Squad.. Dude didn't have a starting job, but had competed heavily for it through out training camp..

:(

Nervous Ferret 09-02-2008 07:07 PM

Joe Flacco over Troy Smith? Didn't see that coming

ClockShot 09-02-2008 07:21 PM

Broncos trade CB Domonique Foxworth to the Falcons for an 7th round draft pick. Could be higher if Foxworth gets a good amount of playtime.

Kinda spooked about this. I wanna know what Shanahan got cooking in that brain of his. Unless we got one hell of an corner I don't know about, bad trade.

Smith is out with some sort of tonsil infection.

Nah the big story is Tatum Bell stole Rudi's bags.

VonErichLives 09-03-2008 01:40 PM

and bigger news...

Brady has a fracture in his foot... repoted needs 3-4 weeks to heal, but he's still expected to play week 1.

Here's how the season starts.

Chiefs
@ Jets
Phins
BYE
@ 49'ers.

I wouldn't mind if they sat him the first 3 games and the bye, heck even game 4 (week 5) vs. SF... and let it heal fully.

although, no one seems to know when the break happened, so he might only be a week away.

Kris P Lettus 09-03-2008 01:59 PM

Damn it..

If he plays, I'm still gonna start him in my FFL..

Where did you hear this news?? Has it been confirmed yet??

Didn't he have a stress fracture (ie crack in his foot) in the Superbowl last year?
