Kurt Angle in yet another terrible B-Movie with a bunch of other wrestlers |
Wonder if Sid shits himself in the movie?
Other than Sid and Angle, I only saw Matt Morgan and Booker T? Who did I miss? |
How do you get the videos to show up in your post?
|
I think you somehow have James Storm mixed up with Booker T.

QUESTION
Should we have a Cena/Rock thread and sticky it, even if it's short term, to save a new thread being made every second day? I can see a lot of pointless threads being made over the next year? Or will the novelty of it wear off quick? Opinions

Watched Taker vs. Triple H again. I just don't know how to feel about the match. The first part didn't have any real flow to me, it was just spot to spot to spot. And I didn't like how they were blown up within like 6 minutes of the match. It didn't seem like they had done enough to be that worn down. Though after the big spots, it did make sense to a point. It just didn't feel long enough into the match. It was like the match was constructed from the mid-way point and they cut off the first third.
Once Triple H started to do the "stay down" bit, I started to like it and I like the finish. I just didn't like the match overall. |

Does WWE.com not provide desktop wallpaper for their PPV's anymore?
I'm trying to find Extreme Rules' wallpaper but it doesn't seem to be anywhere. :-\ |

Probably hard to put out a wallpaper when your wrestling....err entertainment card isn't set til 3 days before. |
Usually they have one as soon as they make a page for the PPV on WWE.com.
It's always just what the PPV poster is, but, as a wallpaper. |
I looked on google for ya for something close but couldn't find anything

WWE Studios: The Rise to Success in 2011
It's been heavily rumored that with the return of Stone Cold Steve Austin and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, WWE Studios stands to benefit.
There has been speculation that The Rock and Stone Cold will be putting new movies together along with Triple H, possibly a action movie. Will this help WWE Studios since both have a decent following in the movie business? What type of movie would you like to see WWE Studios put together? What wrestlers would you like to see? I think the Miz would do great in a comedy/drama but having wrestlers like the Big Show/Triple H in a comedy is complete garbage. Bigger wrestlers should be in action/suspense type films not comedies, I often wonder who the fuck makes the casting decisions. |

An action film with The Rock and Austin would do great, and if they had a decent script and director, it might be good.

Maybe now they can get that journa del muerte movie HHH has been rumored to be the star of for years done.

I was thinking more along the lines of a romantic comedy with some of the divas, some of the actor looking types (not Mark Henry or Big Show).
Or a PG Film with people like Santino, and some divas instead of a big dude like Triple H. I think using WWE Divas would be legitly cool. The Rock could do any genre of film. I just want a serious film, like Legendary but a little more realistic... Sorry Cena Fans... He just didn't fit the role to me, but I enjoyed the plot. Cena is fit for action films, use people like Miz, Jericho, Christian, etc, for comedies, drama, and romance. |
He's just preparing for his new gimmick.

SPOILER: show |
WWE films should at least attempt a group action film starring multiple wrestlers. It's worth a shot and just to see where it stands with the audience.
I can't see it being any less successful than what they've done, and it could lead to them going in a new direction with these things. |
John Morrison would do great in WWE Films as surfer or something cool.

The typical WWE film is sticking a superstar around somewhat famous actors and actresses. The Condemned had Vinnie Jones, Knucklehead had Malora Hardin from the Office, Legendary had Danny Glover, Patricia Clarkson and the girl who plays Becca Moody on Califonication and Chaperone had Lisa Simpson and the crazy guy from Grounded for Life/Superbad.
The next movie (That's what I am) has Randy Orton in it, but in a pretty small role. The movie got a good review and has been seen in a few film festivals. If this movie is a success I think that this will be the standard you will see WWE movies in the future. The superstars will have a role in it, but established stars will be in the leading role. I don't think you will see The Rock in a WWE films movie again. He might wrestle at WrestleMania, but he won't lend his good name to a sinking ship like WWE Films. |
I completely disagree. I think one of the reasons he returned was to bring his expertise and name recognition to WWE Films.
I think Dwayne and Freddie Prince Jr can revamp WWE Films. Films like Chaperone and Knucklehead were doomed to fail due to poor character/shitty storylines. I thought Legendary was great but Cena is too built for that role. It doesn't take much for an audience to get into a movie, just a realistic plot that they can pretend to be true, not a stupid spoof. |
If The Rock wants to stick around the WWE Audience but not make his welcome run dry, what better way then WWE Films?
Where he has the experience, name recognition, and audience to bring something to the table. I not only see it happening soon, I'm absolutely positive it's a part of the rekindled relationship between WWE and The Rock. |
I don't think I'll check in on this thread, so feel free to call me a fag or a cunt or anything.
Goldust introduced me to my favorite movie, with his first Royal Rumble Return promo from 2002. "Winter must me cold for those with no warm memories." He quoted An Affair To Remember, and a week later I HAD to see it. Scoped it out, and it has been my favorite movie ever since. |
John Cena's Rock n' Wrestling
|
If MGM can make a comeback, WWE Films will have to try to die.
I wouldn't mind seeing WWE make a remake of An Affair To Remember. Replace Cary Grant with John Morrison, Deborah Kerr with legit actress, Deborah Kerr's boyfriend with Ted Jr... Yea, I'd watch that movie. |
Isn't Ed Harris on that Randy Orton project? If so, he lends instant credibility to that film on name recognition alone. This is a legitimate Hollywood A lister who has been apart of some great, well recieved films over the last handful of years.
What WWE needs to do is stop going the cliche movie route, and start actually looking for ideas that aren't getting greenlit elsewhere for whatever reasons. If they really want to thrive, they need to find scripts of solid to good quality, and if they'd like to put one of their stars in it, fine, but it has to be something that plays to their strength. They keep doing cliche action, comedy and drama films, and none of them are well recieved. Not one. You would think with all the films they've pumped out, one of them would be decent. I think the best one critically might have been See No Evil. I don't think the Rock would lose credibility in doing a WWE film at this point. As long as the film is solid, and isn't a weekend only release only to be on DVD a week after, I'm sure he'd bite. |
Hasn't The Rock done a live action non-cult following Disney flick, for God's sake? The Rock could say he's doing a film for Orion right now and he won't lose what credibility he has as an actor.
