I'll be putting some hours in this weekend. Definitely tomorrow. Contemplating prestiging this weekend because of the double XP, but at the same time I really don't want to lose my pro perks.

On now, geno33soccer for xbox if anyone rocks so hard they need a terrible player on the team to keep it balanced.

Pretty much decided to not prestige. Work and school makes it hard to play as it is, but i kinda feel like i'll be playing MvC3, Homefront, and possibly Crysis 2 more than this.

This is also why i skipped on the maps.

Played stadium for the first time, total camp fest. I should have brought some marshmallows and a stick.

Getting the maps now, fuck yeah.

Only people I know who I play this with are TPWWers. Even if I didn't know them, I'd still play it online.

New maps are awesome. Love sniping on them.

I have three groups of people, two are bunches of friends I've meet playing online and their friends in turn and tpwwers in general though Req has been an assfag lately.

<font color=goldenrod>Decided to Prestige. Hated losing my Pro Perks and such but I was just getting bored not earning any points. Plus the Double XP weekend made me want to Prestige even more. My first kill got me promoted to level 2. :o

Got to Level 15 in one sitting. Doesn't rank up as fast as you'd think because they lowered the match bonuses to practically nothing to offset the Double XP.</font>

Yeah I am in my 20's already after prestiging for the first time yesterday.

I'll be on at some point but it doesn't matter, cause I don't have the new maps.

Not getting the new maps for a bit. Play with IRL friends mostly and with a few of you bums from time to time. In to Oblivion these days and it's eating up my time, but then there's always SSF4 (u nigs still pay?) and with MvC3 and Dragon Age 2 on the horizon, I'll pretty much never play.

I play SSF4, but only against you and your brother.

You have to love double xp weekends. I prestiged on friday night and with limited time to play I am at 22.

<font color=goldenrod>Same. Got up to Level 26. Played mostly Demolition, each bomb plant was like 1600 points and each defuse was 1000. Even saw instances where the enemy team hovered over the guy planting, waiting for the planting to finish just so they could kill him and get the defusion points.</font>

Had a ctf match where I went 30-14, and had 3 captures. Got ridiculous xp on that one.

<font color=goldenrod>Ghost Pro might be the most fun I've had with this game. Great going prone in Demolition when enemies are nearby. Had so many people run right past me cause they thought I was a corpse. Even had some enemies staring at me, completely oblivious.</font>

Loving these new maps. Particularly Kowloon.

I think Discovery is my favourite. Love having a map with a lot of good sniping spots, but going round the edges and through the buildings lets CQC be effective as well.

Some good matches tonight. Up against a lot of teams with the combined IQ of table salt.

Probably a toss up between the Famas or the Ak74u. Both are extremely popular, and both of them could be said to be a bit over powered. I don't have a problem with either of them though, and prefer the galil myself.

The Galil is amazing. Silence that bitch and put Sleight of hand on.

Never used the Famas up until recently. I've been rocking it with dual mag lately, and I can see why it is so popular. The spray is probably unmatched in the game, even more so when paired with steady aim.

The Galil is my go to gun. Silenced with SoH is very good. Also enjoy running extended mags with scavenger as the clip count goes from 35 to 60.

Ochocinco is going to play in half hour. Gunna try and play with him

I don't get why anyone uses smoke grenades. They're just fucking annoying to everyone. When someone on my team throws one I want to shoot him in the face.

Rarely ever see people using the thermal scope in this game so it makes even less sense that people are throwing smoke grenades around. Maybe in a proper team you could all get Thermal scopes and just throw smoke grenades everywhere, otherwise: no.

You throw smoke as a distraction or to cover an objective or to get out of an area. What's hard to 'get' about it? Also, I typically forget what I have on each of my classes, so I tend to use tactical nades all the time regardless.

Also, that was a sweet tomahawk. :mad:

What's hard to get is that it does none of those things, it's just fucking annoying. It hinders EVERYONE, including people on your own team.

There was lag. The guy was shooting about 6 feet behind you. Telltale lag issue. In his perspective he was probably nailing you then just died for no reason. Look at it: he's waiting for you to come through the door after you told him you were there by shooting and throwing a pointless smoke grenade. He's shooting where you used to be when you hit him with the Tomahawk. If there was no lag you'd be fucking toast.

Well, yes. If someone was shooting behind a wall, I'd see him on the mini-map. When the grenade comes through the door, I'd realise he's about to come running out. At the very LEAST I would expect to hit you. No hits registered. If he wasn't prepared for you to come running through the door, what the fuck is he doing playing this game?

Further, he has a Norwegian flag on his tag, so he's probably in Norway and some Yank is hosting. Lag city.

In case you didn't notice, it was hardcore. The radar was only up because we had a spy plane. As you can see, it clearly goes away.

Stop nit-picking at a 16 second clip to try and make up for your own apparent shortcomings in this game.

The video was intended as a 'Hey, check out this cool tomahawk I got earlier' not 'Wow you got lucky because of bad programming and latency' when you were absent for the game and are unable to draw those stupid conclusions reasonably from a 16 second clip taken from an entire game.

For the record, a game we lost in which I did horribly in except for that one saving grace. So I'm sure their horrible connection had everything to do with that. :roll:

Even if he couldn't see the mini-map, I think the bullets coming through the wall, following by a grenade through the door, would be a bit of a give-away. Again, if he's not expecting someone to come through that door he should not be playing the game. It's quite clearly a lag issue.

The bullets didn't go through the wall. That's what I was trying to do. If they did, I am positive I would have gotten a hit marker, as he did not move that entire time.

Do you even play this game enough to understand its mechanics, or are you just trying to make up for something here? By the way, he was not behind the part of the wall you were shooting, he was behind the stairs. Maybe you don't understand the mechanics of this game? If you look closely at your vid, you can see a bullet hole behind the dumpster where you were shooting, no bullet holes behind the man.

Your FIRST response was scrutinizing the way I play the game. You STARTED off by talking down to me, and I responded quite non-hostile. The 'that was a sweet tomahawk' comment by me was more to direct the point that the video was not about me throwing a smoke grenade. It was about me tomahawking a guy.

There was nothing to break down about it. I jumped out of a door and threw a tomahawk at a guy's face. You're the one acting like this video was intended to be more than it was. You started breaking it down without me asking, or even implying that I wanted you to.

Cappy, the smoke grenade is a wonderful tool in a lone wolf game where your teammates aren't doing anything to help anyways.

Toss one at an objective site and watch people be confused and shoot blindly into the smoke.
Have a claymore? Toss a smoke near it, they won't see till its too late.
Outnumbered, toss a smoke and drop.
Need a distraction? Toss a smoke and run opposite.

Its a tactical tool, as much as anything else.

It has plenty of uses, many of which you don't use and because of that you say its useless.

If you are using a Thermal scope I can understand the smoke grenade for many of those reasons. Otherwise: no. It has no where near as many applications as a flash grenade, or even gas.

As for Req, he told me about the Hawk kill and that you were discrediting it, thats all.

Ill agree that flash and gas are useful. Very useful, though it depends on your playtype. If your into run and gun, flash is more useful. If your into ambushes and sniping, as I do. Smoke workd better.

Smoke grenades are extremely effective in CTF. Most of the time there is at least 1 sniper laying prone behind the flag. A well thrown smoke grenade can not only force him to change his position but it also give me time to take the flag somewhere out of his line of sight as he's moving. A poorly thrown smoke grenade makes everyone looks like an idiot. A lot of times I say "Hey everyone, throw smoke" and it lands in front of the flag allowing the sniper to know not only where you are but doesn't change his line of sight at all and will shoot the first thing that moves out of that smoke. If it was thrown behind the flag and near where he was laying then that gives me plenty of time to take the flag.

Or is someone is chasing you, smoke, drop a nade, keep going.

This one definitely is. And while lag may have played a small part, it was mostly the guy being a horrible shot. These are 3 of the 10 killstreak I got using just knives. Maybe I should post that.

If someone was using a thermal then I would try gassing them. First hit marker should be enough for me to take the flag. Plan B would be some sort of explosive. Noob tube, rpg, c4, whatever.

Plan C would be to take 3 people and use good old fashioned teamwork to go kill the sniper. He can't kill all of us.

Yeah I never see thermal scopes either. That's what I meant earlier when I said if your whole team had thermals equipped and smoke grenades then it would be a good tactic. Like in MW2 where Scrambler was a piece of shit on its own but a whole team of Scrambling bastards was a nightmare.
